'How the hell she got changed this much?"

Carrying her in his arms, Alpha Eric was cursing over Charlotte's metamorphosis. Considering her disturbed emotional state, Queen sedated her by spiking her drink, so she was sleeping peacefully in his embrace, allowing his wolf to calm down.


It was just because of Royal command before, otherwise Rick wasn't ready to leave her side even for a second. His attachment from the day one was now justified. He was able to feel the attraction of his mate even when she was underage.

On the other hand, Alpha Eric was in the mess of emotions. He was angry that she left him, frustrated that he thought she was in the Vampire Kingdom all these years, bothered that her appearance got changed drastically as he was in love with her chubby body and anxious too!

How will she react about their mate-bond?


Charlotte had told him that she was waiting for her beloved and now, when he was her soulmate, will she be happy? Mates between Vampires and Werewolves were rare and their couple was also a part of this exception.

Drowning in the ocean of hopes and expectations, Eric spent the whole journey in contemplating different outcomes. He was ready to forgive her past offense, after all she was her mate and he couldn't stay mad her.

Back in Silver Moon Pack, Luna was alerted that Alpha had come back with a girl.

'Eric, you found her?"

Luna was standing outside the Pack house, she recognized Charlotte at once.

'Mom, that's my mate!"

Alpha's short reply overjoyed her. She crushed him in a hug with teary eyes,

'I am so happy for you, Son. Finally, Goddess has answered my prayers and blessed you with your soulmate."

She kissed his forehead and announced,

'As Goddess has blessed our Pack after so long, there will be a week of celebration before Mating Ceremony."

Eric smiled, his link was flooded with congratulatory messages. He temporarily blocked everyone and sat on his bed beside her. Her scent of roses was so calming, he found it as a sign of Goddess that she was a perfect match to his rosewood's scent. Rick was surging on surface to feel her, so he set him free and laid down beside her.

Charlotte woke up due to immense heating as she was almost suffocated due to the rise in temperature around her. Sweat was streaming down her neck, she felt something was holding her. Instinctly, she shrugged to break free but in vain. She frowned slightly, struggling to keep her eyes open.

As she was slowly regaining consciousness, her hazy vision made it hard to comprehend where she was. She blinked repeatedly to adjust with the brightness, all thanks to the light bulbs right above her head.

Finally, she recognized the surroundings and the source of warmth. A fluffy ball was in her arms with his paw on her back. It was like as she was hugging a giant teddy bear during her sleep with only difference that it was an alive wolf.

Charlotte pushed him away with full might and jumped down, standing away from the master bed.

'What the heck!"

Half a sleep wolf got attentive, his eyes instantly started burning with the sudden loss of skin ship.

'I am going to the bathroom, get descent before I come back."

With that, Charlotte locked herself in a bathroom, calming down her racing mind. She checked her clothes and sighed in relief that she was wearing the same jeans and t-shirt that Queen provided her.

But how she fell a sleep like a dead that she was transported back to the Silver Moon Pack without any hitch? And most importantly, how to face Eric now? She tried her best to avoid this ugly confrontation but now it was inevitable for her.

Charlotte washed her face and came out, thankfully Alpha was dressed. As she had no idea of what kind of response he was anticipating, she bombarded him with questions.

'I was in Lycan's Pack, why I am here? Why was I sent with you when clearly I have no connection with your Pack? And most importantly, why your wolf tried to melt me with his extreme body temperature?"

Well, that was a lot 'why" for Alpha but the 'no connection" thing caught him off guard. He was prepared for everything but not this. His eyes got widened in disbelief as if a sudden jolt of electricity had coursed through his veins, leaving him momentarily stunned.

Eric got up and moved towards Charlotte, who was looking at him dauntlessly. He raised his hand to touch her face which she jerked away.

'Don't touch me!"

He felt the same delicate sparks but they were there, confirming his wolf's declaration.

'The mate-bond! Can't you feel it?"

Now, this was Charlotte's turn to have a panic attack. She stepped back, not believing her ears.

'You are bluffing!"

Then she came forward and sniffed him closely. His scent was same as before but it wasn't calling her. She wasn't feeling the attraction of any pairing between them.

'I will recognize him whenever I will meet my beloved. So, stop saying nonsense and answer my damn questions."

Charlotte was furious, she hadn't imagined that Alpha would lie to her like this.

'My wolf is not lying. I can feel the mate-bond too. Moon Goddess has paired you with me."

As Alpha wasn't looking like that he was pulling a prank, she fell in the abyss of silence. Her brain was quickly processing this information.

Eric held her shoulders,

'Let's leave the past behind. You are my mate. We should respect the sacred mate-bond."

'I am not your soulmate!"

Charlotte pushed his hands away.

'I don't believe in your Goddess. I will accept the only one who'll be chosen by my Goddess Sanguis."

Seeing her stubbornness, Alpha was at loss of words. How could he convince his mate when she had different religious views from him.

'Most importantly, you and I had no past. That was just a mistake of my early teenage years. Now, I don't want to have any relationship with you."

Rick painfully howled in his mind,

'Not again!"

He shrieked as the stab of pain rendered him motionless. Eric looked at Charlotte who turned to leave him.

'You said you loved me."

'I was a fool that I loved you once."

Charlotte retuned to face him,

'I should have seen the mirror before trusting you."

Eric: 'I never found you ugly, that was your insecurity."

Eric reasoned with her in his defense. He tried his best in the past to express his liking of her body shape.

'Oh yes! I was the insecure one in your vast collection of whores. A different one too as I wasn't at risk of getting pregnant. You played safe, Alpha!"

'That day, you didn't just place the basket, you eavesdropped at our conversation too."

Charlotte chuckled and crossed her arms on her chest. This was way more easy than she thought.

'Probably, the most sensible thing that I ever did in my life."

It was in her subconscious that Alpha will deny this allegation but he didn't. Surprising, Indeed!

'Mom was forcing me to send you back. I had to make an excuse."

Alpha's tone was weak. He didn't think that he will be confronted for this.

'Say it excuse or anything else, but it cleared your intentions for me. I was a fool to think that I was something more than a fuck."

She sneered and continued,

'And for your mate-bond crap, listen to me very carefully. I don't care what you and your wolf feel. I will only mark my soulmate whose scent will call me. By the way, you are not in short of Alpha she-wolves who can bear you an Alpha child. So, go to hell with them. Leave me alone!"

She spat out all the resentment in one breath and glared at Alpha who was burning with anxiety. In a flash, he stomped out of the room, leaving her alone.

When Charlotte tried to open the door, it was locked.

'Eric, you bastard!"
