'You have to sign this, Casper!"

King Bahman yelled at his son, who was too busy to pay heed to his father's command. Engrossed in the history book, Casper licked his index finger and turned the next page, a mischievous grin was dancing in his calm eyes.

'You brat! I am talking to you."

King snatched his favorite book and thrashed it to the wall. Casper's empty hands stayed mid air for a moment, he sighed while shaking his head.

'Read this!"

King Bahman retrieved a plain envelope from his robe's pocket and flashed it before Casper.

'Alpha King has sent me a warning about tomorrow's fight. He is clearly siding with the werewolves."

Casper read the paper carefully. He raised his eyes,

'Who advised you to poison Eric, father lord? I know that your love for me is endless but this is cheating.

Why did you fail to notice that everyone will suspect you after this open challenge?"

He knitted his brows, folding that paper back to the envelope.

'Me? You think I did this?"

King Bahman was not believing that his son was also accusing him falsely.

'Why would I do anything for the face off when I am against it from the day one?

You are better off without that inconvenience. I will personally find an eligible partner for you, my dear son."

Well, that was it for Casper's obedience.

'First Uncle Cyrus, now you. All Royals did tireless efforts to have bad relations with other races. I didn't expect that you will go against my fated pairing too.

You will find an eligible partner for me? What's wrong with my Star? She is my beloved, who are you to point finger at Goddess's decision?"

As this conversation was going to South, King Bahman handed him the rejection letter.

'I am your father, Casper. In terms of age and ability, I am more experienced than you. Trust me, this is for you own good."

Casper took a deep breath, building rage was driving him crazy. He got up, the paper in his hand caught fire suddenly.

'I am sorry, father lord. I will never let her go. Royal family owed a lot to Star's family. She will be my Queen and it's final."

Whole Silver Moon Pack was in jeopardy because of Alpha Eric's life and death situation but Beta Noah's life was in Hell.

Finding your mate was said to be the most beautiful moment of your life, the situation faced by Noah was completely opposite to his fellows.

Almost all of his batch mates and co-workers were living happily with their families, he had loads of fun in their Mating Ceremonies too.

Why the same blessed moment was a night mare for him? It left him completely stunned.

From the previous two days, Angie was crying nonstop, refusing to eat or drink anything. She didn't even listen to his explanation and screamed every time when he tried to touch her.

Previously, his dramatic entry with a terrified human made quite a scene at the Pack's border, news of him finding his made spreaded like forest's fire. Now, all of his friends were pestering him to arrange an introduction party. But his mate's condition was worse than ever. His wolf was also bothering him, growling nonstop to cheer up their crying mate.

"I am also tensed like you, Vicky. Don't make it more difficult."

After countless efforts to pacify her, Noah was done. Utterly defeated, he went to his younger sister's place, who was lucky enough to find a mate in the neighboring Pack.

One hour car ride was a convenient method to fetch her. Moreover, Noah's brother-in-law (Andrew) was a sweet and caring man, unlike most rough warriors.

At the news of his mate, Andrew sent Milly (Noah's sister) with him, despite of the fact that she was six months pregnant. (Gestation period in werewolves is seven months).

'You are worrying over nothing, Noah. Have you seen the mirror lately? Look at your clothes, as if a homeless rogue is wandering on streets. This is not a good way to impress your clueless human mate."

On their way back, Milly fed him forcefully with the excuse that her pup was feeling hungry. Back in the Pack, Noah was feeling much better and more optimistic that Angie will accept him after meeting his sister.

He opened the front door of his house, inhaling greedily for the scent of his mate. Considerably fading smell of lavender made him feel a pit in his stomach.

His wolf (Vicky) announced anxiously.

'Mate! She is gone."

.

'Go inside."

Noah turned on his heels and bolted out blindly, sniffing the surroundings for Angie. Trail of her scent led him to the nearby forest. He tore down his clothes and shifted instantly to hunt her.

Provoking a predator for a chase could be the last mistake of any prey and unfortunately, Angie had done it. His blazing golden eyes were darting from one tree to another, tracing the path between thick woods.

He leapt over a huge tree trunk and in a split second, Angie's scent was nowhere to be found. Noah spun around in misery, his agonizing howl shook the whole jungle.

In desperation, he was calling his mate, totally disregarding the fact that those panicked growls would only frighten her more.

Noah took a round and head backwards, a sudden gust of wind perked up his ears .

'Thump!"

His sensitive hearing located a frantic heart beat, although Angie was smart enough to cover her mouth but it was of no use.

Noah pushed his wolf to the darkness of his mind and shifted back to the human form, recalling the advice of being gentle with Angie.

'Come out, Angie. I will not hurt you."

He stopped momentarily before removing the bushes in front of her.

'Come with me."

Noah stretched out his hand but sobbing Angie rejected his offer.

'No, I will prefer to die. You are a monster!"

Angie's inviting scent calmed his wolf, the air was filled with her fear, contradicting to her fake bravery.

'Alright!"

Noah removed some twigs and sat beside her.

'I can die with you here."

He chuckled, circling his arms around her.

'Why are you so dumb, wolf? Can't you take ‘No' as an answer?"

Angie wriggled to break free but in vain.

'You are well aware of our traditions, mate. There is no chance of any ‘No' in our mate-bond.

Besides, I like you and I want you to give me a chance. Trust me, I am not as bad as vampires describe me."

His train of reasoning halted immediately by seeing Angie leaning towards him.

'Mate!

Vicky howled excitedly, his heart danced with anticipation. At mere three or four inches distance, Angie took a U-turn and aimed for his shoulder instead, biting it with full force.

'Angie!"

Her feeble attack fairly amused him. In a flash, Noah flattened her beneath him.

'Nice try, mate. I also love to bite."
