A day without Eric was Charlotte's ultimate dream, but she started feeling strange with in half an hour of his departure. Her hunger vanished, mood worsened and she felt so lazy, wanting to spend the whole day in bed.

Charlotte bit her lip and looked at the wooden cabin whose door was flung opened.

Dismissing this possibility after scenting the area, Charlotte entered the house cautiously,

'Liam?"

Then she almost jumped at the post robbery condition.

'Liam!"

She screamed and rushed towards Liam's limp body on the floor. Lying in the pool of his own blood, the nerves of his body were turning black due to thirst.

Without wasting a moment, Charlotte fed her venom forcefully and took him to the hospital.

'It's a suicide attempt, Luna. Sir Liam has used draining tactic."

Doctor Mike's report confirmed her suspicion, she called Mathew for inquiry.

'Sir Liam overheard about Rory's betrayal, may be this way the reason behind it."

Matthew's face was red with shame, Luna's first task was incomplete due to his inadequacy.

'It was bound to happen one day. It's OK, Gamma Mathew. You can leave."

Mathew bowed to express his gratitude and exited the private hospital room, leaving them alone.

Liam recovered swiftly after that blood transfusion, it was after midnight when he finally woke up.

Charlotte's casual tone broke the dam of Liam's emotions, he hugged her tightly.

Charlotte patted his back and sighed in relief that the center of his worry was Eric.

Liam sobbed for long, expressing his hurt with the language of silence. Charlotte let him cry his heart out, as that was the only way to wash all the fog from his mind.

'Can you bear this setback, Liam? I can compel you to forget this bad experience."

Liam was washing his face in the bathroom when he heard Charlotte's generous offer. He dried his face with a towel and came out.

'It hurts like Hell, but I want to remember every single detail about it. It's my hard learned lesson for future relationships."

Charlotte's lips stretched in an appreciative smile, she changed her offer immediately.

'So, who would like to go for a hunt?"

Mention of a fresh prey watered his mouth, Liam literally pounced at Charlotte and tugged her arm.

His cute puppy eyes lightened her mood, she laughed at his innocence and took him to the nearby human bar where she worked before.

'This place is full of criminals of every kind. You can choose anyone from this variety."

Overwhelmed by the aroma of pulsating blood, it was hard for Liam to decide.

'This blonde one or an Asian? You tell me, Charlotte, which species of human taste better?"

Hiding in the corner, Liam was covering his face as his fangs were extended to plunge in the food source.

Charlotte's warning fueled his courage and for the first time in his sired life, he compelled a human being.

Sitting in the private room of that bar for the last fifteen minutes, Charlotte's patience was touching its limits.

He cleaned his mouth and hands efficiently after drinking, Charlotte refrained him from killing. Liam was also on board with this development, as there were many other methods for having fun besides this.

After dinner, they sat on a rock near a stream in the forest, discussing today's activities.

Charlotte was dying to lecture Liam about the advantages of sired life, but her cellphone rang.

She kept her cellphone away from her ear as his shouting was causing her headache.

'You should have waited for my permission."

'There came another problem."

Charlotte mumbled under her breath and eyed Liam to leave. Obviously, she needed some privacy to reprimand that big bad Alpha.

'Liam's condition is not fine. He has just recovered from a failed suicide."

Charlotte whispered to inform Alpha, a grave silence from him encouraged her to speak further.

'I took him out for a hunt. He is better now, but it will take some time to heal properly."

Alpha put his anger aside and listened to her reasoning.

His suspicious tone frustrated her, she sent him her location to avoid his blabbering.

'When are you coming back?"

Just to change the topic of discussion, Charlotte asked casually.

'Are you missing me?"

After confirming her location, Eric's voice was as fresh as daisy.

'No, I am counting the days of my freedom."

'Little one!"

Eric's piteous cry sounded hilarious.

'You could have lied for my happiness."

Charlotte shook her head at his baby's voice and disconnected the call.

Her cellphone screen instantly flashed with the notifications of text messages.

'I have booked a resort for our honeymoon. Just you and me, be prepared."

'You wish, lecher!"

Charlotte scolded the phone and switched it off, Liam's laughter in the background flushed her face.

He was about to start his investigation when the agonizing cries of a grown man caught their attention.
