Witnessing that love scene wasn't a difficult task for Charlotte, but her face burnt when Luna Lily asked her to leave.

'I am not dying to stay with your precious son."

She packed her bags, huffing in anger at supersonic speed. She reached the adjacent forest and blew open the Liam's cabin.

'I will stay here from now on."

Liam used his upper portion for the first time, didn't ask any questions and arranged the room for her.

'Don't go out, sleep here."

Charlotte pointed towards the empty side of the master bed, Liam pondered over it for some time and hopped on.

'Thanks, master. Sleeping on the wooden floor is so tough."

His failed attempt of a small talk shunned him completely, rest of the night was spent in the grave silence.

At breakfast, Liam made pancakes for his sire, obviously to get some information about the last night.

'Eric is back. Did he ask you to leave?"

Apparently engrossed in eating, Charlotte's hand stilled for a moment.

'No!"

She responded without looking at him. A sudden call on the door interrupted Liam's interrogation session.

'Luna is calling the madam."

Orion delivered Luna Lily's message quickly, gasping for breath.

'Charlotte is Luna, not madam."

Liam shouted at that innocent boy.

'Bad manners, Liam!"

Charlotte's stern warning put a full stop to his yelling. She left with Orion, who was also a chatter box like him.

'Madam Melinda has made breakfast for everyone today. When Amy went to call you, you were not there.

I am very fast, so this task was allotted to me."

Puffing his chest in pride, Orion gave her a sneak-peak about the Pack house's situation.

On the breakfast table, Luna Lily was sitting on the right side of Eric, leaving his left side vacant.

'I have made your favorite cheese omelet, Eric. Take a bite and tell me how is it?"

Dressed in a red colored party dress with spaghetti strips and a long slit, Melinda had painted her face with loads of makeup.

Charlotte glanced at her loose white t-shirt and trousers, shuddered her shoulders and greeted casually.

'Good morning!"

And dragged a chair in front of Eric to sit, as Melinda was now spoon-feeding Eric. Charlotte poured herself a cup of black coffee, Luna inquired her.

'Why did you leave the Pack house, Charlotte? Amy has to send an omega to call you."

Melinda proceeded Luna's statement with concern.

'We can't even mind-link you as you are a vampire. You should be careful, Star."

Charlotte used that coffee mug as a shield and checked Eric, who was boggled at her nickname.

'Actually, Liam isn't feeling well nowadays. He needs to be monitored at night."

Charlotte politely explained the reason of her absence to Luna. Then she turned towards Melinda, her lips curled up in a smile.

'There is an ancient gadget called ‘cell phone', which is used by the vampires for communication. Give me a call whenever I am away."

Melinda's fingers were clamped on the crystal glass with fury, but she laughed to conceal it.

'Sure! Why not!"

Then she held Eric's hand.

'I want to see my Pack. Will you take me for the tour, please?"

Eric nodded with a smile, which ran a jolt of excitement in Melinda's hyperactive body.

'Just five minutes, I have to get ready."

'She needs any preparation?"

Charlotte thought in her mind, her eyes sparkled with amusement.

'Your work supplies have been arrived."

'Thanks!"

As soon as Eric initiated a conversation, Melinda came back with a young girl.

'Lisa is such a good girl, Eric. Can I keep her as my servant, please?"

'This is a pet for Charlotte."

Eric knitted her brows and spoke seriously.

'Keep her, Maddy. I don't feed on humans."

Charlotte raised her cup, allowing her to have Lisa. Melinda's face darkened at Eric's refusal, she grabbed her head and swayed her hands in the air for support.

'Oh, my head. I am feeling so dizzy."

In a flash, Eric picked her up gently,

'Call a doctor!"

His panicked order was followed by chaos in the Pack house, everyone ran to serve Melinda with sympathy flooding their hearts.

Charlotte stopped an omega,

'Where is my box?"

'In Alpha's room!"

The young omega's reply forced her to go to the Alpha's room, where Eric was sitting beside sick Melinda.

'My head is spinning, Eric. I can't see anything."

'Hang on, Maddy. Doctor Mike is coming."

Ever so carefully, Eric started massaging her forehead.

'At least, check her fever!"

Charlotte gave free advice to visibly distressed Eric.

'What's the need of hard work so early in the morning, Maddy? You are burning with fever."

Amy arrived with a cool water and cotton strips at the same time with doctor Mike, so Charlotte didn't stay there anymore. She collected her box and left the Pack house silently.

Liam almost snatched the box from her hands, even Charlotte was surprised that he popped out of nowhere in a split second.

'What's happening inside?"

'You are a sneaky kitten, Liam. You scared me."

She chuckled, ruffling his dark curls.

'That's not the answer to my question."

'The usual, Melinda is playing flute and snakes are dancing on its rhythm."

Liam didn't get her example, his mute 'O" mouth was the graphical explanation of his mental shock.

'She is using her falling health to gain Eric's attention. What are you doing?"

Liam stopped and turned towards Charlotte to face her.

'I am waiting!"

'For what?"

Charlotte's lips stretched in a tight smile, her eyes were shooting burning daggers into space.

'Just wait and watch!"

Sitting in the attic, Jason was opening different shopping bags given by a junior warrior.

'It's from Gamma Mathew."

Shirts, jeans, dress pants, cuff links, perfumes, and rest of men's items were of limited edition, quite expensive too.

Jason was staring at them wide-eyed.

'Why?"

The answer to the question was also packed in a gift box. He opened it and gasped at the Gucci watch.

'I apologize for breaking your wrist. I hope that you can forgive me and not complain to anyone else."

'You want my forgiveness, my foot."

Jason rolled that paper into a ball and threw it on the floor.

'Don't be so kind to me. I don't want to fall in love with you."

While scolding the shopping bags, he cried out.

'I would rather not be bothered by any emotion. Stay away, Mathew."

He threw his head on the pillow and started crying, the attic resonated with his heart-rending sobs.
