After signing off his business, Eric's instant regret caught him off guard. Charlotte was sitting on his office's chair when he came to work the next day, Beta Noah was efficiently working for her service.


A glimmer of hope refreshed his soul, but this heart's contentment turned into vexation soon. Within five minutes, the peaceful environment changed into a war zone, as she rejected the very first proposal for hundreds of reasons.

'How can you just donate a hefty amount to this worthless battle fund? And what's even the use of this money? To kill and shed the blood of innocents? Nope, this is preposterous!"

His warrior wolf immediately switched sides and supported Charlotte in this case, wagging his tail obediently. He was enamored to see her as a boss in the office. Eric blocked that traitor and took a deep breath,

'As a Council head, it's my duty to ensure the small Pack's security. Rogue problems are getting out of hands these days, so more funding is required to assist weak Alphas. They need us in this difficult time."


Charlotte picked up a tissue paper and cleaned the corner of her eyes for crocodile tears.

'OMG, Alpha. I am touched by the compassion for your peers."

Then she crumbled that tissue paper in her hand and banged her fist on the table.

'There is no such term of weak Alphas in the history of Werewolves. Replace the incompetent ones, and merge the small Packs into the bigger Packs, as separate states in the county.

Have some fear of Goddess Sanguis, our Pack's expenses are higher than the whole USA economy."

Absorbed in her regal aura, Eric was pleasantly surprised to witness the administrative side of Charlotte, her suggestion was topnotch.

'The Queen!"

He swore in his heart to kill King Casper and gift the throne to his Luna, the true heir of the Vampire Kingdom. Seeing him in a daze, Charlotte took his silence as an agreement.

'So, this is final. You will send a team for the survey. This amount will go to the Pack's treasury. Our hard-earned money is not for others use."

Noah cleared his throat and informed the next agenda of the day.

'Alpha King has sent a congratulatory letter to the Silver Moon Pack."

Charlotte examined the red envelope, her brows arched in a crescent moon.

'Where is the congratulatory money?"

Eric guffawed at her desperation, infuriating her more.

'He has sent a special letter to us. Isn't it enough?"

Charlotte didn't find his words amusing and remained serious.

'No, a King shouldn't be stingy like this."

Noah hid his glee behind his stern face and presented the next file.

'There will be a meeting about rogue problem as scheduled by King in our Pack tomorrow."

'This, This is King's way of sending congratulatory money."

Eric showed her the meeting expenses on the last page of the file, which sparkled her eyes.

'Good!"

But her heart sank at the name of the guests coming to their Pack, she closed the file and stood up.

'Don't even try to tell anyone about the Pack's ownership in this meeting. You can handle the rest on your own."

Charlotte rushed to leave the office; Alpha couldn't understand the meaning behind her sudden exit.

'This is the package from the tourism department."

'A vacation. Yay!"

Rick quickly broke all the bounds created by Eric and surged out to take part in the planning.

'We will go to Paris, then Italy and in the end, Hawaii. Little one will be happy."

Noah also encouraged him, stating his concerns,

'You haven't taken a day off in fourteen years. It will be a nice change, Alpha."

They both arranged bookings and a tour guide for this trip happily. The closed file on the table remained unbothered there for the whole day.

Standing outside his house, Beta Noah was bamboozled into granting Angie's dearest wish.

'You can't leave me!"

He locked the door and went back to work after lunch, Angie yelled at him from the window,

'I will go and that's final."

Noah thought that she would forget it after some time, but Angie was persistent with her demand.

'I want to attend the last semester for my degree."

Her request was out of his feral mind, they fought again at dinner.

'Why do you need a degree after mating? We are not short of money. Tell me what do you want to buy, I will arrange it for you."

Noah's generous offer touched her heart, Angie spoke in an earnest tone.

'I know that you will do anything for me, Noah. But this is not about money. I just want to complete my degree. My hard work will be wasted if I don't attend the classes now."

'How can I stay without you?"

Noah's pitiful expressions and puppy dog eyes didn't change her decision.

'It's the world of technology, Noah. I will talk to you daily."

She kissed his cheek to add the bribe with her suggestion.

'No!"

Noah growled and pulled her into his chest.

'Talking through video call is not enough. How could I feel your warmth? I will be alone without you."

Their simple argument soon converted into a World War three, their neighbors informed the Alpha's office,

'Beta Noah has gone crazy again."

As his track record didn't add any good for him, Eric directly broke the door and barged in the house.

'What the Hell?"

His jaw dropped at the miserable condition of Noah; Angie was pulling his hair while cradling his back.

'You scared me, Angie."

As the news was delivered to Charlotte at the same time, she joined them in a split second.

'You were wild before, but this is the worst display of your madness, Angie. What's the matter?"

Angie huffed in anger at her praise, Noah cried out.

'She wants to leave me."

She jabbed her elbow in his rib cage instantly.

'He is lying. I have to attend classes for six months in the university. This caveman is not letting me study."

Charlotte sighed and looked at Eric, he zipped his lips in case he would say anything wrong to anger her.

'Why don't you both go? It would be a nice vacation for you guys."

Eric's eyes widened at this benevolent offer, he coughed to raise his voice.

'Who will handle Pack's duties in his absence? Mathew has already covered for him during his official vacation."

'Liam will take care of work. Although he is not good at business, yet his dutiful nature will be helpful in daily matters."

Eric and Noah glanced at each other, as Charlotte's proposal was a little bit risky for both.

'Noah can work from home to assist Sir Liam too. He will be guided by Noah at each step. After all, I will be busy with studies, Noah could use this time for Pack affairs."

She grabbed Noah's hand and begged.

'Look, I have no intention of leaving you, but I am also a person beside this relationship. Please try to understand, this has been my only dream since childhood. I think you have no idea what a postgrad degree meant to an orphan on the streets."

Angie began to sob dolefully; Noah's heart was pierced by the countless arrows of guilt and sorrow.

'I will try my best to make up for my absence in the future. Please approve my six months leave, Alpha."

Noah knelt before them, baring his neck in submission.

'This would be a without pay leave, your salary will be paid to Liam for his services."

Charlotte eyed Angie to not worry about money, as this condition was a deliberate attempt to reconsider the decision.

As soon as they came back to their room, Eric happily told her.

'Pack your bags, little one. We are leaving for vacation, too."

'Really?"

Charlotte raised her brow.

'I think you should think about tomorrow's meeting, Alpha. This enjoyment can wait."

She brought out her night dress and went to the bathroom, leaving Eric in deep thoughts.

'It's just a meeting. Why is little one stressing over it?"
