'Get up, little one. It's getting late."

Eric's voice was ringing in her mind like an alarm, Charlotte placed a pillow on her sensitive ears.


'No! I said no, Alpha."

She seethed in frustration. Eric paid no heed to her protest and pulled the covers.

'This is your first official meeting as the Luna of the Silver Moon Pack. At least, pay attention to your duties."


'Pay attention to my duties! My foot."

She mimicked his morning lecture in a bad mood and threw a pillow at his face.


'If anything bad happens, you will not fuss about it later. You clearly know that I don't have any experience in this field."

She warned him while rubbing her eyes, a servant came in with the breakfast tray.

'Get up and have something. Guests will be here at sharp 11:00 am."

'What does she still do here?"

Charlotte's eyes opened at the smell of freshly grounded coffee, she yawned and pointed at horrified Lisa, the same pet that Eric bought her from the slave market.

'What are you doing here? I asked Mathew to send you back."

Eric inquired Lisa, who was kneeling on the floor in a heartbeat.

'Wow! This is the control of the so-called Alpha on his Pack."

Her train of taunts started with the first sip of morning coffee, she enjoyed the change in the Eric's expressions.

'Please don't send me back. I have no family."

As Lisa's eyes glimmered with her begging, Charlotte straightened up.

'Why? Don't you have parents or a boyfriend to stay with?"

Sensing Charlotte's interest, Lisa moved forward in hope.

'I am an orphan, grown up in a foster care system. After my 18th birthday, I was wandering in the streets when a human trafficker kidnapped me. I have nowhere else to go.

Everyone here is so kind towards me. I will work for free, only food and shelter are enough."

Eric placed his hand over her head and spoke in a solemn tone.

'You are a part of my Pack now. Continue your studies and work in the kitchen with Amy. The rest you can discuss with Liam."

Charlotte looked at him for a while and then rolled her eyes at him.

'Whatever!"

Whereas Lisa was revived after Eric's permission.

'I will never forget your favor, Sir."

'Alpha!"

Eric interrupted the train of her gratitude and left after reminding Charlotte of the meeting. He was completing the file about his Luna's company, that's when he received the news of guest's arrival.

'What the heck! Who called him here?"

Then he checked the abandoned file, name of Vampire King was laughing at him there.

'That's why little one was avoiding this meeting."

He cursed his carelessness and went outside to welcome the honorable guests.

'Long time no see, Alpha Eric."

King Casper came with a proper protocol as a King with three Alphas and lycan King's special envoy, Elijah Morgan. Eric's sixth sense alarmed him for something fishy.

As he didn't read the agenda of this gathering in the excitement of vacations, he was clueless in the start.

'We are here to solve the increasing rogue's disturbance in several Packs. Alpha Kayden and Alpha Jason have to bear heavy losses in the previous two months."

Thankfully, Elijah Morgan provided files about this issue to all the respectable members. A little sneak peek of this matter flared Alpha Eric's vexation.

'Rogue problem is purely a Werewolf Kingdom's problem. I was wondering that what's the reason for King Casper's presence here."

His voice sounded stronger; King Casper almost stamped with irritation at the slow drawl in which he spoke. A fake friendly smile appeared on his face, he looked at Elijah.

'My Kingdom's south border was attacked by Alpha Bryson. Alpha Sophia can vouch for me, her Pack's border is adjacent to the South of the Vampire Kingdom."

Elijah nodded and added to his statement.

'His Majesty Casper Adino has assisted lycan warriors in catching the explosive's dealer, who was providing weapons to rogues. His timely help failed the deal which caused the fight in the Red River Pack."

Eric's emotions turned from fury to interrogative mode instantly. Like how on the Earth King Casper knew about the Werewolf Kingdom's internal problems.

'The Vampire King is considerate of the neighbors. Admirable!"

His hidden contempt thickened the air with tension, Alpha Sophia laughed nervously.

'It's a great thing that both the Kings had a special meeting for the prosperity of both races."

Then Alpha Jason and Alpha Kayden whined about their financial losses. Clearly, they had no idea how to deal with this difficulty.

'Good morning!"

Eric's tightened nerves instantly calmed down at the whiff of Charlotte's rosy scent. Rick shot up, as he was yawning in the first half of the meeting. He was surprised to see her in old clothes, full sleeves shirt and an additional scarf, her hair tied in a ponytail.

'I think it's snack time. You must be tired after a long journey."

She directly addressed Elijah, as the other three Alphas didn't like the notion of a Vampire Luna.

'You are so considerate, Luna Charlotte. Congratulations on your appointment as Luna."

He got up in respect and gave her a red envelope, which removed Charlotte's nervousness, she smiled delightedly.

'This is what I like about ceremonies."

As the atmosphere lightened with their friendly interactions, Eric raised his brow and glanced at King Casper's blanched face.

'I have a suggestion of Pack's merging for some time, we should combine our Pack under the protection of an elite Lycan ruler. Alpha King's direct interference will show his compassion towards his subjects."

Elijah nodded his head while listening to his briefing, Alpha Sophia raised her voice.

'This whole process will take a long time. We need an instant solution along with this. Alpha Eric has an army of experienced warriors and the best defense strategies. He should offer some financial and security assistance to his peers."

Alpha Kayden and Alpha Jasper agreed with her, as their main purpose of this visit was easy money.

'I have a rough estimation of my Pack needs. This would be a great push for our economy."

'Beggars!"

Charlotte thought to herself and interfered before Eric could sign a cheque.

'I have heard that your Zell bury Pack has recently discovered a gold mine on your land. Is it true, Alpha Kayden?"

Alpha Kayden's face whitened at Charlotte's innocent query, all colors of happiness of getting a solid amount disappeared in thin air.

'Yes, Luna. It's just a discovery. We haven't started working here."

He cleaned the colorless beads of sweat from his forehead and drank the glass of water with trembling hands.

'The Moon Goddess is really siding with you, Alpha Kayden. What about we buy the raw material from you with the compensation fund? I think, it will be in the favor of your Pack members. I have noticed that werewolves have greater self-respect, they will be offended by this free charity."

Elijah Morgan laughed and praised her.

'It seems that you have got your equal, Alpha Eric. You both are welcomed at Lycan King's Castle. His Majesty will be honored to meet you."

He instructed his assistant to type the agreement and finalize the deal.

'We will go with Alpha Eric's initial plan. Moreover, all the Packs are free to have an alliance regardless of official pairing. The main goal is to eliminate the opposition. That's it."

As the meeting ended with the surprised conclusions, Alpha Kayden and Alpha Jason left right after with Elijah and Co, but King Casper cleared his throat and requested seriously.

'I would like to speak with Charlotte in private."
