Sophia waited for Alpha to drink his glass; Eric's death glare didn't destroy her enthusiasm. He glanced at the empty glass of whiskey, which clouded his mind all of a sudden.

Her honey-sweet voice echoed in the Alpha's office, she got up from her chair and flicked her hair flirtatiously.

'I think you should reconsider your decision."

Her confident tone had an immediate feral presence with incredible suggestive power.


Eric shook his head and rubbed his eyes. His hazy vision was making it impossible to pinpoint the source of the proposal.

'No, we have discussed it already."


He tried to stand up, but his wobbly knees failed to support his weight.

Sophia's lips curled up in a mean smirk, she sashayed her way towards Alpha and placed her hands over his shoulder.

'You are stubborn, I like it."

Her long fingers gently brushed his cheeks, she leaned in.

'Don't you long for a considerate partner, who could turn your fantasies into a reality? Everyone can see, how stressed you are! I will make you a happy man, Alpha Eric."

He grasped his hand and placed the contract file before him, gently biting his earlobe.

'Sign it, Alpha. We have a lot to experience together in the future."

The door of Alpha's office was thrashed by a single kick, Elijah Morgan's voice boomed in the surroundings.

'This is not a way to make an alliance, Alpha Sophia. Alpha Eric is wise enough to decipher your true intentions and informed the officials after the meeting."

Standing at the start of the corridor, Charlotte was stupefied at this sudden appearance. Liam was giving her a live broadcast through a video call; she swore to herself before leaving her hideout.

'You are under arrest for forcing your peer into something demeaning like this. Alpha King will decide your penalty, you have a right to defend yourself before the Royal Council."

'I can drain her now."

He chuckled and assured her,

'Keep faith in Alpha King's judgment. Justice will be served to you."

A manly lycan guard escorted Sophia out of the room, she spat out while leaving.

'This is not over, Alpha Eric. You have to pay for your every misdeed with interest."

Charlotte moved to follow that vixen, but a pair of strong arms wrapped around her figure.

'Where are you going, little one?"

Her heart skipped a beat at his deep, husky whisper, she wriggled to break free.

'I am not free like you."

His warm lips trailed towards her neck, placing butterfly kisses on her skin.

'You are needed here."

He nuzzled her neck and breathed in her scent deeply.

'No, you should go to your dear officials. After all, you share your secrets with them."

Charlotte took a deep breath to calm her racing heart, but her feeble attempt to resist his charm ceased to function properly. She melted in his embrace as he licked his mark softly.

'Alpha King is like my father, little one. I was trained by him."

He flipped her on the table, pulling her into a deep kiss.

'Why are we even discussing him in our moment, little one?"

Charlotte dug her fingernails in his back, she failed to find the reason that how couldn't she adjust to his size until now.

'You did this!"

She pouted and looked away. The sound of their love making removed all the tension of the previous moments from heavy atmosphere.

As Elijah Morgan was waiting for them at the Pack's border, they had to hurry.

'Alpha King is impressed with your insight, Alpha Eric. You are intelligent despite your young age."

Eric laughed nervously, as that lycan's curious eyes were observing their couple closely.

'Actually, it was just a guess. Thanks for staying around the corner at my request."

'I was not bored; your Pack's scenery is quite soothing."

He stretched his hand for a handshake.

'We will meet again, Alpha. His Majesty expects you to fulfil his command."

Charlotte suspected that Elijah's tone was hostile, depicting the seriousness of the task assigned to Alpha.

'Like he is going to tell me."

She shrugged her shoulders and went back to her room, where a new mess was waiting for her. The room was full of every kind of scrolls, books, a considerable pile of personal notes baffled her.

'What is this?"

She inquired to Lisa about this, who was efficiently arranging that new library in her room.

'Alpha allowed you to study, but not in our room. Take them out immediately."

'Alpha wants them here."

Then Charlotte read the title of the nearest book.

'An introduction about Vampire Kingdom."

She shuffled her memory and was certain that this was the same book she saw in Alpha's training course.

'Is he out of his mind?"

Her audible question was replied by Alpha Eris instantly.

'No, I am sane. You have checked it just now in the office."

Charlotte rolled her eyes at him.

'Why are you revising your educational years now?"

He snatched the book, which she was rolling mercilessly in her hands.

'I have told you that I was trained by Alpha King. This means that I didn't attend Alpha academy. My father sent me to the human college and after his death, the Alpha King directly appointed me as an Alpha. Just two months of personal training was enough for me."

He opened the book and started reading solemnly. Charlotte sighed and pulled his ears with full force.

'Next time, if I find your hidden plan after its execution, you will sleep outside for a week."

Her stern voice left no room for discussion, Eric shrank back into the couch.

'Liar!"

She murmured under her breath and stormed out of the room; Eric resumed his reading with great interest.

Then he googled this question, several horrible meanings terrified him.

His half-shifted body got attention of the head Priest Flora, she listened to him attentively.

After his detailed information, she nodded her head.

'Are you feeling any uneasiness, any pain in your body?"

'No!"

Eric's response relaxed her, she was fairly amused at his vexation.

'This would be a code word between the vampires for something, but I am pretty certain that Luna Charlotte is perfectly alright."

Eric finally recovered from the previous shock; his nerves calmed down. He bowed his head in gratitude, with the only accusation dancing in his mind.
