"Ma'am!"

"Ma'am!!"

"Ma'am!!!"

She woke up with a start, gasping loudly for air and jumping from the bed. She winced when her neck made a small crack from the sudden motion and rubbed the small spot,

"Ma'am?" Her bleary eyes rose to meet the flight attendant in front of her.

Her brows knitted together in confusion, "What's wrong?"

"Oh," She smiled apologetically, "The plane landed a few hours ago, you were asleep so you mustn't have noticed when it did."

Plane? Landed? Hours?

"Oh shit!" She jumped to her feet, cursing as she did and looking around. True to the attendant's words, there was nobody on board. "Wait, Wait a moment. What about that boy? The one who was here with me?"

She pointed at the empty space beside her. The attendant gave her another sorry look, "He must have left with the other passengers when the plane landed, I'm sorry."

Evan left? Without her?

White hot fury slithered through her veins and she bunched her fingers into a fist. She wanted to say that she was in shock but the truth was, she wasn't. Aurora didn't put anything past his hands. Evan was an evil bastard and she had known it for months now.

"What about my bags? Please, tell me he at least checked out my bags." She had a pleading look, her eyes wide.

The attendant slowly nodded, "All the luggages have been checked. You have no worries."

She exhaled in relief, her shoulders slumping. Her tired eyes fell on the small counter attached to the side of her chair, she only had her purse and phone with her but that would do.

"If you don't mind, I could call a taxi for you," The attendant spoke up, breaking her from her reverie, "Do you know where you're heading to?"

Aurora cocked her head to the side, a small smile pulling at the corner of her mouth. "Yes, I do and a cab would be very much appreciated."

"Good, please follow me."

She nodded, picking up her purse and phone from the chair and slinging the silver bag over a shoulder. She unlocked the device, scrolling through her chat in search of the address of the hotel. She silently followed the nice attendant, marveled that the entire plane was cleared without her notice.

How deep did she even sleep?

It was day now, she guessed six or seven in the morning but the airport was thrumming with people. She finally found the address and relayed the information to the attendant ,

"That's a popular hotel and a very pricey one at that," The blonde attendant looked over her shoulder to shoot Aurora a warm smile, "Wait here while I go make the call."

She nodded, coming to a stop at the rows of chairs. Some people were seated, their bags arranged by the side, a particular couple caught her eye. They were both sleeping, or she assumed that they were, headphones tucked in their ears and the girl's head was resting against the boy's chest.

Evan's face crawled into her head and she bristled. Once she got a hold of him, she would make sure to punch his face in. Her fingers flexed just as the thought came to her and a devious smirk lit up her features.

"Ma'am, your cab is here," She faced the attendant abd smiled gratefully,

"Thank you."

They headed outside to the small black car parked in front, the driver was just climbing out of the driver's side and he tipped his head at them. Aurora smiled and faced the attendant again,

"I just want to be sure but you're certain that there is no luggage left right?"

The attendant beamed reassuringly, her bright blue eyes twinkling "I assure you ma'am and if they are, I'll be sure to call you. May I have your number?"

Aurora quickly exchanged numbers with her, thanking the woman over and over again even as she walked towards the cab.

"Thank you!" She yelled gratefully and the attendant nodded, raising a hand in the air,

"It's my pleasure and I hope you enjoy your stay in Pennsylvania."

The door shut before she was able to react to the statement. Wait a moment-

"Sir," She called the driver, leaning forward, "This is Pennsylvania?"

The driver gave her an astonished look but chuckled, nodding his head, "Of course! So, Silverstone hotel, right?"

She was barely able to mutter back a reply, dropping against the leather seats. If she was in Pennsylvania, then that meant...

"Oh, god," She gasped, covering her mouth with her palms.

What were the odds of bumping into Ryan here?

The drive to the hotel was a quick one and she paid with her card before clambering down the vehicle, thanking the driver as she shut the door.

The sun was starting to rise and she was already beginning to feel hot. She placed a hand over her forehead, squinting at the large building. Now she understood why the attendant was in awe when she mentioned the hotel, it was truly magnificent.

The glass twinkling like stars as they reflected the early morning sun. Aurora resisted a smile as she took the first step towards the hotel,

Her phone buzzed in her hold and she lifted it to see the caller. She sighed before picking up, "Mom?"

"I assume you've settled into your rooms?" It was hard to hold back an outrage scoff, her mother didn't know half of it.

"Yes, I'm going for a short walk." Her mother paused and she swore she heard a disgruntled sigh,

"Your aunt will be there later in the day to pick you up. You two should catch up."

She muttered an okay, moving to hang up when her mother called again,

"Oh, and Aurora?" She paused, the phone hanging in her hand, "Try not to make a scene."

The line went dead after that. Aurora had to swallow back a scream, instead biting down on her lips. She shook away her mother's words and headed towards the counter. Luckily, she was able to get her keycard and room number.

"Thank you," She said to the receptionist and headed towards the elevators. Aurora stopped when she remembered that her bags were probably with Evan and she had to get his room number,

She was about to turn when she heard her name being called in the crowd. That made her frown and she squinted at the distance, that was when she saw him,

Evan was approaching, his hands tucked into his pants pockets and a relaxed smile on his face. He had even changed into something more casual and his hair was more laid back,

"You made it," He said brightly, his smile widening.

If she thought she was angry before then this was a whole level of fury. Her chest burned, her eyes burned, in fact all her body burned when it slapped her in the face. She tried to imagine how he felt when he walked out on her, leaving her defenseless like that.

Was he happy? Or gleeful? Or perhaps, relaxed that he left her there sleepy and unaware?

He cocked his head to the side, emerald eyes identical to hers gleaming with excitement, "How was the drive?"

Oh no, he did not.

She acted before she could think much of it, her arm swung, fist connecting with his face. There was a loud crack and then a surprised cry as he tumbled to the floor.

Her fingers throbbed, she ignored the crowd that had slowly began to form around them, whispering and gasping.

Evan scoffed, wiping his palm on his nose. His hand came away with red but she didn't flinch,

"He's bleeding!"

"Should we call the police?"

"I think they know each other."

She glared at him, the urge to whack him over and over in the face still strong but she would have to make do with one punch. Besides, she was sure that she broke his nose.

Evan was still on the floor, wiping his bleeding bose with his palm, "You sure have an amazing way of making an entrance, sister."

"You should be grateful that I didn't have you strangled for what you did." She spat, her eyes flickered to the crowd and some of them stepped back,

"Send my bags to my room or the next thing I'll be breaking are your legs."

With one last threatening glare in his direction, she tipped her chin upward and sauntered out of the reception hall.
