It felt like the school day went by slower than usual.

My bruise is starting to fade, but it's still grey and splotchy.


Maddie still doesn't believe that I'm Aspen since I've been wearing my hair down for the past three days.

And Kayden has tried to keep my mind off of everything that happened in the last twenty four hours.

Which I appreciated.


As I walk out of the school I see Carolina leaning against a matte black Range Rover while smiling at me.

I walk to her with wide eyes since she's attracting a lot of attention.


"What are you doing here?!" I scold as I try to subtly cover my face so that I don't get anymore dumb rumors spread about me

She smiles at me before opening the backdoor which reveals Charlotte sitting there with a smirk on her face.

She's dressed in a red cropped hoodie which exposes her toned stomach. She paired that with black high waisted skinny jeans that have a rip in the knee and white high top converse.

"Are you going to get in or just continue to check me out?" Charlotte asks with a smirk which causes me to blush and I look down and climb into the seat beside her

"Why are you here? You're supposed to be resting" I say with a pout since she got shot last night but she's acting as if it was just a scrape

"You don't want me here?" She asks with a frown which causes my eyes to widen in fear

"No, that's not what I meant" I say as I grab her hands and intertwine our fingers together

"Then what did you mean?" She asks as a smirk makes its ways onto her face, again

"I just don't want you to hurt yourself because of me" I say which causes her to let go of my hands and gently grab my face

"I would go to hell and back for you" she says which causes me to nod as I bite my lip worriedly

"Don't worry about it" she says as she uses her thumb to remove my bottom lip from in between my teeth.

Carolina gets into the drivers seat with a smile so wide that it scares me a little. She closes her door before she turns towards our confused expressions.

"I didn't know that both of you were dating" she says which causes my eyes to widen as Charlotte smirks and turns towards me

"Is there something that you would like to explain, Aspen?" Charlotte ask which causes me to blush as I look down from embarrassment

Oh god, I thought I told that girl to tell everyone that Charlotte and I weren't dating.

"Remember when you showed up to pick me up from school?" I ask Charlotte as I look up into her eyes which causes her to nod

"Someone recorded us and said that we were secretly dating," I say which causes Carolina's smile to become wider as Charlotte laughs

"I asked someone if they could spread a rumor that we weren't dating, but I guess they never got around to it" I say

Both of them continue to look at me with smile amused expressions which causes me to look down at my hands as I blush.

"Awww, she's so cute" Carolina says which causes my cheeks to become redder

Ugh, why am I blushing so much?

"Well, there's nothing that we can do. I'm sure that it'll blow over in a couple of weeks" Charlotte says with a shrug

"You're not mad?" I ask her with a confused expression as I look up to meet her shining bright green eyes

"Why would I be mad? It's not like I can control rumors" she says with a smile which causes me to grin

"So are you not dating?" Carolina asks with a confused expression which causes Charlotte to roll her eyes

"Just start the car" she says with an emotionless tone which causes Carolina to comply as she turns around and starts up the car
