"Oh my god," I moan out in pleasure as I bite into the fudgy brownie that she made

"That good, huh?" She teases with a smirk as she walks up behind me and wraps her arms around my hips


"It's the best thing that I've ever tasted" I say as I take another bite

"I've tasted better things" she mumbles as she places her chin on my shoulder

"Oh really, like what?" I ask as I turn around in her arms


She gives me a dirty smirk that tells me all I need to know. My eyes widen and I lightly smack her shoulder.

"Babe!" I shriek which makes her burst into laughter


"You asked" she defends, I roll my eyes before taking another brownie.

I take my phone out of my pocket only for my eyes to widen.

I have thirty-two missed calls from my mom and thirty-six from Carolina.

I decide to call my mom back as I take a bite out of my new brownie. She answers on the third ring.

"Aspen, sweetheart. Are you okay?" She asks as soon as she answers

"Yeah, mom, why?" I ask curiously. Charlotte watches me with a curious expression.

"Carolina and Kayden said that it was an emergency that I contact you, but I said no since I knew that Charlotte would take good care of you" she says which makes me blush

"Oh, then why did you call me thirty-two times?" I ask her curiously

"That was Kayden, he was saying something about a bet" she says as if she's trying to remember the conversation

"Oh, well thanks mom" I say

"No problem m, sweetheart. You'll be home tomorrow morning for breakfast, right?" She asks

"Yes, of course mom" I say with a bright smile

"Okay, bye sweetie" she says

"By mom" I say before hanging up

"What did your mom want?" Charlotte asks as she pulls me closer

"Nothing. Kayden called me from her phone" I say with an eye roll before I take a bite of the brownie

"This is a good brownie" I whisper to myself before I wiggle out of her arms and walk into the living room
