After placing them in the car we shortly arrived at Charlotte's place.

Her members helped Carolina and Kayden take the prisoners to their cells.


"We'll be back soon, I'm going to take Aspen to the hospital" Charlotte yells out to a random member

"Good luck, Thunder" they say with a wink

Why are they winking at her?!


Is there something she isn't telling me.

I glare at the member to silently get my point across.


Charlotte turns around and starts to reverse the car out of the driveway.

"What's wrong?" She asks as she glances over and notices my crossed arms

"Nothing" I say with a monotone voice as I turn my head to look out the passenger side window

"You're lying" She says as she takes a left turn

"I said I'm fine" I say calmly as I observe to calm scenery around us

"What did I do?" She asks as she takes a right turn

"You didn't do anything" I answer as my eyes land on the giant building with the words 'emergency room' hanging from it

She pulls into the parking lot and parks her car close to the front.

As she's turning off the car I go to open my door only to get stopped by her hand resting on my shoulder.

"Aspen, we're not leaving this car until you tell me what's bothering you" she states

"I already told you, I'm fine" I say

"You're not fine, you glared at me then crossed your arms and turned away" she says

"I did not glare at you, I glared at the person you were talking to before we left" I reply but immediately press my lips together

Shit.

I wasn't supposed to tell her that.

She gives me a confused look.

"Why?" She asks

"It's nothing" I reply as I look down at my fingers

"If it was nothing then why were you so upset about it?" She questions

"I think you know why" I reply with a low voice

"I really don't" she replies with a slight teasing tone

Ugh, is she really going to make me say it.

"I was jealous" I say inaudibly

"I'm sorry, what was that?" She questions jokingly

"I was jealous" I say with an eye roll as my cheeks start to heat up

"Aww" she says as she admires my face

"Stop it" I say as I place my head in my hands

"You're cute when you're jealous" she says as she removes my hands from my face

I look up at her and just admire her.

She starts to slowly lean in which makes me freeze.

Shoot, I can't kiss her.

At least not yet.

I turn my head at the last second which causes her lips to press against my cheek.

As she pulls away I turn to face her and give her a guilty smile.

"Lets go inside, who knows how long the wait will be" I say awkwardly before I unbuckle my seatbelt and open the passenger door

I carefully get out of the car and close the door behind me.

Fuck, that was close.

Too close.

I need to be more careful until we find out answers.

We've been waiting to be seen for a little over two hours.

When we were finally seen they brought us to a room and told us to wait until the doctor came in.

"Hello, my name is Skylar and I'll be your doctor for today" a lady says as she enters the room

As she turns to face us I release a gasp.

"Ocean?" I question

"Aspen, nice to see you again" she says with a smile

"Can we get another doctor?" Charlotte asks with a cold tone

"Calm down, I'm just here to make sure that Aspen gets checked" she says with a calm tone

"If you'd follow me, I'll lead you to the X-ray room" she says to me

As I get up I hear Charlotte stand up from the plastic chair.

"Oh, I'm sorry, they only need to patient" Ocean says

"I'm not letting her go anywhere alone with you" Charlotte says with crossed arms

I walk up to Charlotte and give her a kiss on the cheek so that she'll relax a little bit.

"It's okay, I'll be fine" I say with a reassuring smile

She glares at Ocean before looking down at me and wrapping her arms around my waist.

"You're mine" she says with a slight possessive tone but I see the worry in her eyes

I use my good hand to gently caress her cheek.

"I'm yours" I say which makes her smile

I step out of her grip and turn around so that I can walk out of the hospital room.

Ocean and I walk down the long hall in silence.

"Look, I'm sorry if I intruded on your relationship" she says seriously

"No, it's fine. We're taking a break" I say with a sad smile

"The both of you look good together" she says matter of factly

"Thanks" I reply

I start to think about everything that has happened within the past couple hours.

"You like girls, right?" I ask her

"Yes, why?" She questions skeptically

"I know this girl that you'd look great with" I say

"Oh yeah, what does she look like?" She questions as we turn down the hall

"She has medium length black hair and space grey eyes. She's my age and has her diva moments" I say as I recall a lot of them

"She sounds...interesting" Ocean replies hesitantly

"I'd love to introduce you to her, but I'm not responsible for her actions" I say as I raise my hand in surrender

"Okay, I'll meet her" she says

"Great, call me when you get off" I say and point to the phone number on the form she's holding

"Will do" she says as we stop in from of a door.
