'You remind me of the sun, pumpkin," he said suddenly.

Surprised, I raised a brow at him "Whyyy?"


'The sun is hot and feisty like you but still beautiful and important to everyone." I blushed sheepishly and hit him on his arms, triggering a fake groan from him, rolling my eyes as I looked at the moon.

'Let's go to bed, it's late, and we need to get up early for the training," he said, and we went inside.


I laid down at the extreme end of the bed, but he drew me closer and held my waist.

"I like you in my arms," he said. I smiled and closed my eyes, giving up to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up early to prepare for the training with Axel, but I saw he was already up.

'Good morning pumpkin" he greeted softly .

'Good morning Axel," I said, smiling.

'Freshen you, so we can go to the training field in time," he said, and I nodded and dressed quickly.

'Seems you are more eager about learning how to fight than the soldiers," he teased.

'I don't want to be a liability, let's go already," I told him, hurrying out and dragging him with me.

When we reached the training ground, he took me further away from the soldiers to a solitary place where we could be alone without any distractions.

'Now let's see what you learned so far from Ferdinand. Go easy on me," he said, laughing. I scoffed and drew my sword.

I began attacking him and he simply dodged them without throwing a single blow.

Soon I was already exhausted and I gave up sitting on the floor.

'Giving up? Where was the eager Vanessa that wanted to learn how to fight so badly?" He mocked.

"You are cheating and that's unfair," I whined.

"Your arms are just too weak, and your stamina is terrible. What have you been learning since?" He turned to drop his sword when I threw something at him with very good precision.

'Seems your aim is quite good, nice try," he said, laughing loudly. I got annoyed and began leaving.

He came to my front in no time, halting my movements.

'Don't give up, no matter the words you hear, pumpkin. Now come back, I will teach you the basics," he said, taking me back.

'It's very hard learning from someone who is perfect at something," I said. Axel laughed and laughed.

'It's not funny Axel, I'm serious, stop laughing," I said, punching him on his chest.

"Don't worry, you will learn, you have the zeal already. Just use your strength, but not too much, to avoid making mistakes. In fighting, strength isn't the only thing needed, you need to use your head," he advised.

After training for four hours, Axel called it a day, and we headed back home.

Axel went to his office after taking his bath to attend to his duties. And I went back to my room to dress up.

I met Octavia on my way and she smiled. Gosh, she is very good at pretending. I smiled back.

'How are you doing Vanessa? Hope your head doesn't hurt anymore?" She asked like she cared.

"Yes it doesn't," I replied.

"That's good, hope you punished him for doing such? People like him should always carry the consequences of their actions." I stared at her in shock. She knew it wasn't intentional, and she still wanted me to punish him.

'No I didn't," I said.

'Why?" She asked, looking at me like I was crazy.

'I don't punish people for things that aren't done intentionally and, please, if you would excuse me, I have to go to my room," I said, walking past her.

She stared at my back with anger in her eyes. I entered my room and slammed the door.

Annoying lady!!

I took my shower. After showering, while brushing my hair, I heard a knock on my door and I opened to see Emily smiling at me.

'Hiiiiii,'' she said, still smiling, and I smiled back, glad to see her.

'Come in," I said, ushering her into my room.

'How are you doing?" I asked her.

'Living," she said, and we laughed together.

'I heard you were hit on the head by the fool, Grayson, does it still hurt? Hope you got the Alpha to punish him?" She asked with concern and anger all over her face.

'I'm fine actually, and it wasn't intentional," I said, defending Grayson, annoyed.

Why would they want him punished for something that wasn't done intentionally?

She raised her brows at me and quickly covered it up with a smile.

'Whatever you say, so what have you been doing in the Alpha's room since then?" She asked and I frowned.

'Emily, why are you asking me that?I haven't asked you what you do in his room, do I?" I was pissed about her question.

"I'm sorry, I was just curious since you hated him before," she said.

'It's fine, I want to take a nap now. I will see you later." She nodded and stood up, leaving.

'I'm so sorry Vanessa," she said and left.

I closed my door and lay on the bed. I drifted off to sleep immediately, as soon as my body touched the soft bed.

..TWO WEEKS LATER...




Axel's and my relationship was getting stronger as the days progressed.

One night while waiting for him to come back, he knocked, and I opened the door to a very drunk Axel. He immediately held my waist and shut the door with his leg.

'Do you know how much your presence has been intoxicating me, but I couldn't do anything, so I won't hurt you Pumpkin," he said.

'You are drunk-talking Axel, come and lie down," I said, trying to lead him to the bed. His weight was too much for me to carry, and we fell on the bed.

'Pumpkin, I might be drunk, but I know what I'm saying, you are driving me crazy, what are you doing to me?" He said, and he started kissing me roughly, seeking access to my mouth, which I granted.
