AXEL P.O.V



'Who did?" I shouted at her. She flinched and Vanessa looked at me frowning her face at my behavior. I looked away.

'Can I talk to her instead please?" she asked.

I nodded.



She knelt down beside her smiling.



'Sorry about that, he's too stressed out with the issue on ground and it's making him annoyed. you said you knew the person that killed them," who is it?" Vanessa asked


"I have a condition," she said.

'What's your condition?"

'I don't want to be the Alpha's concubine…."

"Granted," I said. I didn't let her complete her statement because I was already looking for a way to get rid of them all, and she just gave the easiest condition I have ever been offered in my entire life. She smiled at me.

'Thank you, it's Allison, I overheard her telling someone else but I don't know who it was that she poisoned the drink she served to the other concubines so that they would all die and she would be the Luna," she said. I raised my brows. Allison must be very blind if she thought that I was asked to pick a Luna that I would pick her out of the other concubines, she was my least favorite. She's still here because her father was a good friend of my late father, so I'm just appreciating his kinds acts towards my late father.

Vanessa gasped.

'How and Why?" She asked.

"With a poison, I don't know who she was talking to but all I know was that she is doing all this because she wanted to be the Luna so she wanted to get rid of us," The concubine Detrina answered.

"So she killed them because of a mere title?" Vanessa asked in anger that I found fascinating.

'And why didn't you tell us this earlier?" I asked her angrily.

" I was scared. I'm sorry," she pleaded.



Before I say anything she ran out of my office.

'Alpha stop her before she does something bad," Detrina said before following her.

I knew what Vanessa wants to do so I deliberately lingered so that by the time I would have reached the scene she would have done something bad. My beautiful feisty mate. I chuckled to myself and began walking to Allison's room leisurely.

'Your highness,please ask Vanessa to open the door, she's fighting with Allison and I can smell blood already from the room, it's Allison's" Damian said.


'When did you come back my good Beta?" I asked him smirking.


He stared at me in shock before he understood that I was deliberately leaving the fight to stay longer.


'Your Highness, please stop else she will kill her and the council won't spare her no matter the reason," Damian whispered. He is right though.

She opened immediately and shifted from me, why would she even think I would hit her.

I was impressed rather. I smiled and she looked at me confused.

'You are not angry with me?" She asked docile.

'No I'm not, but I don't want you to kill her else you would be killed too," I said. She smiled and cleaned her face when I saw an injury on her arms.

'How did you get injured?" I asked.

" It's nothing, it's not painful at all" She said. Though I could see through her lie.

"Vanessa stop lying to me, wait here"

I walked into Allison's room, and she looked up me in fear.

" I didn't do it ,I swear" she said. I scoffed at her boldness in lying.

'Don't you dare lie to me" I growled.

"I'm sorry, it wasn't intentional," she said crying and moving away from me.

'Your highness you sent for me," Sean said.

"Take her away to the dungeon the dark hell, her trial would be held in four days time." Sean looked at me in shock. Only the most gruesome criminals were kept there and no body have been sent there in for the past five years. He nodded regardless.


'Yes your highness."


'Please don't take me there, I'm so sorry….please Axel…please." Allison sobbed as he dragged her away.

I went out and dragged Vanessa angrily.

'Axel you're hurting me," she said sobbing. I didn't know why I was annoyed but I'm really annoyed.

I opened my door and locked it, putting her down on a chair and I went to bring the First aid box, and pulled her hands cleaned her wound in silence . And I put the first aid box back in the counter and walked to the balcony.


And she walked to me and hugged from behind and when I turned to her she tiptoed held my face and shocked me by kissing me on my lips. I was shocked but I wouldn't let this opportunity go unused because Vanessa have never kissed me in her own will. I kissed back roughly and she held my chest to release herself from my grip.


I held her tightly, and she began squirming beneath me,and it didn't make me release rather it intensified my need for her.

'Axel stop…." She called my name and it sounded like a moan. I growled she would be the death of me.

'Axel, please" she said and I felt a salty substance on my lips and I broke the kiss.

'I'm sorry, I didn't know you would get annoyed at me, I was just furious at her," Vanessa said and she hugged me.


"I'm not annoyed because you fought with her, rather I'm annoyed she got you hurt and I'm sorry for venting the annoyance on you," I apologized to her caressing her soft hair.


'You sure?" She asked pulling back and looking into my face.

'Yes pumpkin, I want to go back to wales, remember we were having a meeting before you came, and later at night, I would show you something nobody knows about." I told her smiling. Her eyes lit up and she giggled like an adventurous teenager.

'Yayyy!" she said and I laughed at her.
