AXEL P.O.V





I was bored to death, and I couldn't wait to go back to Vanessa, but as an Alpha, I was mandated to be here except when I was out of the pack land.





I left the execution ground immediately after she was killed, so I went back to my room.




"Pumpkin," I called, looking in the changing room, no Vanessa. I went to check the walk-in closet to see if maybe she would be there, but she wasn't there either.




I opened the door and peeped in, and I saw her inside the bathtub asleep. I chuckled while walking into the bathroom. I watched her for some time, admiring her beautiful face and body.




'Vanessa, why are you sleeping in a bathtub? You might catch a cold," I said as I tapped her softly to wake her up, and she opened her eyes.




She shrieked when she saw me, and she used her hand to cover her chest and lower body. I raised my brows at her chuckling.




After everything, she still gets embarrassed when I see her naked.




'Are you feeling okay?"




"Yes," she said with her cheeks red.




'Please go out; I'm taking my bath," she added.




"No, I'm not going out of here; in fact, I'm going to take a bath with you. Is there anything wrong with it?" I teased her, and was about removing my clothes when she screamed.




"Yes, please just go out, Axel. Please, please, go out. I want to take my bath alone. Why are you doing this?" She asked, not meeting my eyes. I laughed, and I pulled my T-shirt down. Teasing her had already made my day special.




"Fine, but you will have to do something for me too, but finish showering and I will tell you what I want," I said, leaving her all red.




She disappeared into the changing room immediately after she came out of the bathroom, amusing me.




She came out wearing a black and white nightgown.




"Wait for me. I want to take my bath. You can join me though I'm always ready," I said, smiling when she threw a pillow at me.




"Please go in and take your bath," she said.




"I can't see my way inside, please; is anybody there? She laughed out loudly.




I groaned, and I went into the bathroom to take my bath.




I came out, and she was still brushing her hair and dressing up.




'Let me help you with that," I said to her. She hesitated before handing me the hairbrush. I began brushing her soft hair.




When I was sure it had been brushed well, I set the brush on her makeup table.




'I haven't forgotten about what I said in the bathroom," I whispered into her ears. She stiffened and turned quickly, her lips landed on mine. I pulled back.




"Please, can I kiss you?" I asked politely, and she raised her brows at me. Usually I would just kiss without her consent, but I was careful about hurting her feelings. She smiled and nodded. Without hesitating, I picked her up, wrapping her legs around my body, kissing her as I placed her on the bed and bent down to her chest, plastering feathery kisses all over her body.




I stopped and hugged her tightly, and she slept off in my arms. I slept off, content.




The next morning, Vanessa woke up and tried to remove my arms from her waist, but I held her more tightly.

"Axel, I know you aren't sleeping. Please, I want to use the restroom; otherwise, I will do it here," she threatened.




"Are you threatening me? Please do it; I don't mind," I replied, still closing my eyes.




"Please, Axel," she pleaded.

"Fine, kiss me first," I said, and she kissed me quickly.

Immediately I released her; she ran and slammed the door in urgency.




"Don't break the door," I said, laughing.




She came out looking all red with shyness. I wiggled my eyebrows at her, and she giggled.




"I would be going for a meeting in the next pack with the other Alphas, and I will be out for two days," I said to her.




"Oh," all her happiness died the instant I told her that, and she lay down on the bed facing the other side.




"It's just two days, Pumpkin; I will be back," I said, turning her to look at me, and I saw she was already crying.




"I know, I'm not crying," she covered up.




"You are crying, Vanessa; there's no need lying to me," I said, and she looked at me and lowered her gaze.

Damian walked into my office, and he was grinning from ear to ear.




"Good morning, Your Highness," he said pleasantly. I was so surprised. Damian was usually moody like me, and now he was looking all happy and vibrant.




"Fine, what's making you all happy and vibrant this morning?" I asked him to pacify my curiosity.




"Sorry, Alpha, I didn't know I was smiling visibly," he apologized, trying to smolder his happy look.




"Damian, I want to know what's on; that's why I asked, and it's Axel when we are alone," he smiled, nodding.




"I'm just very excited because my mate has accepted me, and she's coming to stay with me," he said, grinning.




"Damian, you are finally becoming a man," I said laughing.

"I was, and I'm always a man; just that I'm a complete man now," he said, laughing.




"Bring her to see me when she comes. I want to see what she looks like."

"She's very beautiful and well-mannered, Axel, though she's very stubborn and feisty like Lady Vanessa, and she gave me one hell of a time while convincing her and her parents that I wasn't going to hurt her. He reminisced about the moments.







"That's enough, Damian, so you don't start daydreaming here," I joked.




"Just bring her to me. I want to see her personally," I said.




"Yes, whatever you say. Your highness," he said and began carrying the files I called him for.
