VANESSA P.O.V
I turned in my bed waiting for sleep to engulf me but it seemed to be playing with me.
'Rhea come down, Adam wants to see you," Rachael screamed from downstairs and I groaned. I'm a heavy sleeper, and I hate being woken up by someone. I didn't know when I finally slept off last night but I knew it was late at night.
"I'm coming." I rose, brushed my teeth and went down. Coming down the stairs I saw Adam talking with a woman wearing a white dress.
He looked at me, and turned back to the woman.
'I'm feeling a strong power around here, but I can't tell what it is," the woman said to Adam. He looked at her confusedly.
"Hmm. This is Rhea, the woman I'm talking about. Rhea this is Safrina the witch that would help you."
"Good morning ma," I said to her, and she looked at me intently.
"Are you human?" Her next question shocked me but I didn't say anything and sat down on the dining table.
'Eat quickly so you will have enough strength for the spell," Safrina said, still looking at me intently.
'What were your parents?"
"I don't know my parents, but I was adopted by a werewolf couple."
"Oh!" She said and continued drinking her tea.
After breakfast, she took me into an empty room, and we were alone. I sat down on a short stool as I watched the witch muttering some inaudible words.
I was no longer bothering myself about Axel, I wanted to have revenge for my parents, then go back to the human world and start my life afresh.
If it was possible, I wanted to erase his memories from my head so I can be ruthless while getting my revenge.
Since I stopped crying about Axel, and got more interested in having my revenge, Adam was less hostile towards me.
'Wear this around your neck and whenever you want to switch your appearance, just hold it and say the form you want to take on.
But note, the necklace will begin losing its effects whenever you come in contact with someone you love. So if you love anyone there, make sure you start killing the emotions else the necklace will lose its charm," she warned.
'What would happen if the necklace lose it's charm?"
'You will transform back to your true self, and that would be terrible for your mission."
"Don't worry, I understand and I'm ready,'' I said, confidently. Adam looked at me happily, I was finally behaving sensible, his words not mine.
'Good," she said as she left with Adam.
I stood up and went to my room to have enough rest before I set for the Blood Moon pack.
'Rhea, wake up, it's time for lunch," Rachael said, and I turned stretching as I groaned.
"Hi!"
"Hello, stand up sleepy head," she said, smiling. I stood up and we left for the dining room.
Hilda served the meal, it was beef lasagna, my favorite. My stomach danced immediately I heard it was beef lasagne, I was eating to my heart's satisfaction.
"Rhea, you seem to love this meal so much. This is the highest amount of food you have eaten since you came back," Rachael said, amused by the way I was eating hearty.
'You forgot? This is one of my favorite meals," I said with a mouthful of the food.
'Slow down, it's not running away from you, I don't like it that much so you can take mine," she said, pushing her plate towards me.
"Are you sure? So you are going to stay hungry?" I said, raising my brows.
"Oh goodness, no. Hilda is preparing some oat porridge," she said, smiling.
'Oh, then thank you," I replied smiling. I drew her plate closer and began munching away contentedly.
Adam came back and I quickly straightened myself to avoid his anger. He kissed Rachael and ignored me totally like I care. I was even avoiding any conversation with him to avoid his neverending curses and swearing.
'Don't mind him, he's just tired from work. You know how his work is," Ever sweet Racheal said, comforting me.
'Nah, I'm not bothered about that, I don't even want to talk to him," I said truthfully and we laughed
.
"I want us to have a girl's night out before you go, I will invite Sandra and Amira," She said excitedly.
"I don't like Amira, she's too proud," I said , scowling my face.
"Fine, I won't invite her if you don't like her. You don't have to spoil your beautiful face with that unladylike scowl," Rachael said, and laughed. I joined her.
Adam came down and asked to get ready.
'Okay," she replied sadly after all the plans she has for this evening. He smiled and left.
'I am sorry Rhea, I can't say no," she explained.
"No problem, I totally understand and I won't be happy if you say no to him," I told her.
She smiled and left to get ready for her date.
I went back into my room and lay down facing the window. When I heard rustling from under my bed. I got scared and I began crepting inside my blankets.
'Who's there?" I called out and heard the rustling at the sofa in my room.
I quickly switched on my light and the light went dead.
" Vanessa." It called huskily.
I turned trying to peer into its face, but the cloak it was wearing covered all parts of his face including his eyes.
'Who are you and what are you doing here?" I asked fearfully.
'You don't know me?" It was questioned.
"No, if I did, I wouldn't have asked you."
" Fine, it's..." It got interrupted by a knock on my door.
I looked at the door and turned to the figure and it wasn't there, I breathed out in relief.
'Come in." Hilda walked in holding a glass of water and a tablet.
"The witch said you should drink this."
I collected and drank it without questioning. She left and I began to feel tipsy.
