I turned relentlessly in my bed, but I couldn't find the most suitable way to sleep.


All my plans to have a sound sleep, it all proved abortive.



What did she put in the drug that is making me feel this way? I could not understand how I was feeling. I tried standing but my feet were wobbly and I fell back into my bed.

'What's wrong with you Vanessa?" I didn't have to look at the sofa to know who it was, so I decided to ignore him. I don't know why but I wasn't scared of it anymore.



'I'm fine. Do you mind leaving my room? I need privacy. I want to undress," I said in a bid to make him leave, yeah a him, his voice sounded masculine.

'Don't worry, I'm Keal," I snapped my head and he let down his cover and he was as handsome as ever.

'Yes I'm handsome but the way you are staring at me makes me feel more handsome too, now clean that drool from your mouth," he said smiling, he was now closer, when I said closer I meant our noses were touching.

I quickly brought my hand up to clean the drool but there was none, I frowned at him as he laughed at how easily I fell for his prank.

'Stop frowning, you are too beautiful for that," he said as he removed a strand of hair from my face.

I moved away and groaned when I felt a sharp pain on my stomach. Kael looked at me worried like a husband whose wife was going through childbirth.


'Rhea what's wrong with you?" He asked and I snapped my head towards him when he called my real name.

"How did you know my real name?" I couldn't help but ask.

"I have a very high sense of hearing, though I can't seem to understand why I can't see where you are, I can only enter here but I can't know the exact location so I can take you out," he said looking away as he got lost in thoughts.


I couldn't tell him too as I don't know where I am too, and I can't ask Adam or else I wanted to receive his curses.


'I can't ask Adam …he won't tell me."

"Anytime you want me to take you away, I'm ready," he said. I smiled. I wish Axel was persistent and understanding like he was, I would have told him my identity immediately we met. But no he had made my love for him turn to hate.

'Not yet. But I have to do something very important."

"Something important? Okay I will help you."

"You won't question what I want to do and you want to help?" I couldn't believe my ears and I didn't help but hugged him. He was shocked at first but his hands quickly engulf me.

'No, I trust your decisions and I believe you are doing the right thing. I love you so much Rhea, human or not, weak or strong, your flaws are what make you flawless to me," he said sweetly. I looked and he bent low kissing my forehead. I couldn't help but enjoy his sweet embrace as he patted my hair like a little child.

'I wish I didn't have to share our bond with him, and I can't imagine myself having any woman except as my mate."

'Lest, I forget, my brother sent his greetings and this muffins, he said you told him you love them so he prepared this for you." He handed a tray of muffins I didn't notice until then.

I was very excited to see them, grabbing them quickly, I took one and bit into it.

'Oh my goodness this taste so good. This is amazing," I said munching like a little child. Keal was looking amused.

'Does it taste so good? Can I have a taste?" He asked.

' No," I said moving the tray away from him. I knew I was behaving like a child.

' mPlease?" He pleaded.

"Fine, only one." I handed him one.

"Thank you." He bit into it and scrunch his face in displeasure.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Too sugary." He dropped it back into the tray. I looked at him like he have gone crazy.

'How?" I asked and he was cleaning his mouth trying to get rid of the unpleasant taste as claimed by him.

'I'm not a fan of sugary stuffs. And this is worse than sugary."

'But it's not that sweet," I whined.

"Well, to you and not to me," He said, gently.

"Are you arguing?" I started been very petty.

"No ma. You are absolutely right the muffins wasn't sugary, it's my mouth." I smiled contentedly.

'Good." I touched his perfect chiseled jaw and he purred nestling into my hands.

'Are you okay Kael?"

'Yes, infact I'm more than okay, I'm feeling better like a smitten man who's heels over in love with a very beautiful woman, like the one holding me right now," he complimented.

I bask myself in his sweet words, too sweet but I knew he meant them by his actions.

'So, when do you want me to come and take you away from here?" He asked.

'Once I'm done with whatever I'm doing, I would let you know."

"Okay. Whenever you are ready, just beckon on me. I'm ever ready to take you at your command , I have…" a knock on the door interrupted him again and he groaned.

'Must they disturb you every time I'm here? Is this what you have to endure? No privacy!" He complained like a child deprived of his candy and I smiled.


"They give me all the privacy I want, but it's something important for them to knock on my door by this time of the night. And they can hear you."

"No, they can't, I block them out from hearing anything going on in this room," he said, still looking annoyed. I don't know why but I wanted to hold him.
