I looked away at the window remembering Axel, and how bad he treated me. I hated him already.


I was tired of being afraid of Adam, but I have to finish this mission before I can get my freedom.

The more I thought of Axel, the more I hated him. I won't hesitate to do what Adam sent me there now.

Though I was still hurt, I remembered Emily and I promised myself I would make sure I hurt Emily back a hundredfold for doing something like that. But in a way, it helped me to know who my foes and my friends were.


He said the mountains, but the mountains are where Kael lives, and I remembered he told me only vampires can survive there. Was… I waved the thought off.

'When are we going to get there?" I asked Rachael, then I noticed she was sleeping so I tapped her.



'Racheal come, let's go to the cabin and rest, I don't think we will be getting there anytime soon." She nodded. I helped her up and we headed to the cabin and we met a tired looking Hilda holding herself from falling asleep. She looked up immediately as we passed her.

'Hilda, come and sleep, you are a human and you deserve rest," I said to her, and she shook her head.

"No, don't worry, Mr Adam would be very angry with me."

'Hilda you will rest!" Racheal ordered and I said, good! Hilda nodded and followed us in. I lay Racheal on the bed and I lied down immediately, with Hilda following suit.

I woke up and I looked out of the jet's window and I saw we were still in the air. I was feeling frustrated and I went to the kitchen to eat. Racheal walked in immediately after I walked in. Adam walked in and I quickly wiped my smile off to avoid his anger . No matter how Racheal tried to explain to me that Adam is not a bad man. I would always stick to my guts.

'Good morning babe," he said to her.

"Good morning, I can't believe we are still traveling, this is why I hate traveling so much," Racheal replied reluctantly.

"I know you are tired of traveling already but don't worry, we are almost there."

She continued complaining to him as I handed a cup of hot choco to them and left.

We soon reached and we came out, nobody was as happy as Racheal because she hates traveling. I actually love traveling but not by air it was too boring.

'Shit, this place is too damn cold." Racheal complained despite the thick coats we were all wearing except Adam who wore a tight sweater.

I was shivering already, I looked at Hilda and she wasn't that affected by the cold wind.

'I grew up in the north pole, so this is nothing," she said when she saw I was looking at her quizzically.

'Come on in," A man dressed in a butler uniform said. Adam began following him and we all went in.

'Welcome Mr Adam." The Butler greeted as he bowed to all of us except Hilda who he looked with familiarity and hatred in his eyes and when I turned to Hilda she was looking at him back with more intensity.


'So you are staying this close to me now?" Kael said and I was startled.

"I didn't know it was this close and I didn't plan it," I replied as I turned to look at him. Then his eyes caught the injury in my arms and he rushed to my side looking worried.

'What happened to your arm and why didn't you let me know?" He inquired, as he touched my arm.

"Ouch!" I screamed and he pulled his hand back.

'I'm sorry, how did it happen, love?" He was looking all worried.

"A gunshot. Don't worry about it, okay?" I said immediately.

'I shouldn't worry about it? If I don't worry then who would? Bring out your arm, I won't hurt you and you know that," he said and I brought my injured arm out. He rubbed his hand over it, and immediately, all the pains I was feeling in them stopped, I was surprised and tried to pull my arm back.

'Stop. I'm trying to help you." I stopped pulling and the whole scar disappeared immediately. I looked up at him.

'What if I'm asked what happened to my injury?"

"Show them this," he said, and handed me a tiny bottle of oil.

'What's that?"

'A magical healing oil you got from Safrina, though I don't like mentioning that witch name," he said and frowned.

"Okay, thank you."

"Don't mention, I'm here to serve you," he said, and I smiled.

'You look beautiful. Too ravishing," he said, kissing my neck.

"Kael, stop doing that."

' I won't. You are intoxicating me."

' Am I a drug?"

'No you are worse than a drug, you are the air I breathe."

'Okay, stop lying to me. You love me but not to the extent of me being your air," I said putting my hands on his chest to push him away when he held it.

'But I'm serious, a vampire dies if their mates reject them," he whispered into my ears deliberately breathing down to make me feel weird.

'Take me to your house, I want to see your brother a little bit," I said.

"Okay. Hope you're staying?"

"No, just for the night."

"Fine," he said groaning as he put his hand around my waist and I couldn't feel the floor, I held him more tightly closing my eyes.

'Welcome home," he said, but I didn't hear as I was still closing my eyes.

"You can open your eyes now, love." He said and I opened it slowly and he was laughing.

' It's not funny."

' I'm sorry, but it was really funny seeing you close your eyes when we reached here like five hours ago." He said, holding his laughter in.

" Stop exaggerating."

" Who's there?"
