'Stacy, you know I'm the one stop being childish for once," Kael said, rolling his eyes. Stacy came smiling but it turned into a huge grin when he saw me.


"Wow, she have come to stay?" He said, still grinning.

"No, I haven't come to stay, I'm here for just some hours," I explained, and his smile fell.

"Oh, okay. So did you like the muffins I prepared, Kael said you didn't like it and I don't believe him because I made them very delicious for an angel like you." He smiled and I smiled back looking at Kael with a questioning expression and he just looked away.


'Don't mind him, I loved them and I told him so. They were the most amazing muffins I have ever tasted," I said truthfully.

"Yayy, I said it. Kael is just a big hater," he said.


'It wasn't that delicious, too sugary."

I ignored them as they continued their chatter, to keep myself busy, I began looking at the portraits on the wall curiously. A portrait of a man with long protruding fangs moved in a black cape and I gasped moving back.

'Stacy, this portrait is moving," I called out to him since Kael went into his wine cabinet to get something for us. Stacy rushed and tapped it.

'Dad, you can use a smartphone to communicate with us and stop this old and orthodox way of communicating," Stacy complained into the portrait and the man in it started talking.

'You won't tell me what to do. I'm your fathe… who is that beautiful young lady beside you? Have you found your mate, son? Finally, my little boy is becoming a man." I looked at him surprisedly. Kael's father was looking like a man in his twenties. Now I know where he got his good looks and charisma.

"Dad, stop embarrassing me in front of Kael's mate. Rhea, this is my father, and father, this is Rhea, Kael's half mate," Stacy introduced.

"Good evening sir."

"Good evening beauty. I must say Kael got himself a very beauty woman as a mate. What's your name, beauty?" His fatehr asked.

'Rhea," I replied.

'That's a wonderful name, where's that rascal? Isn't he hearing my voice?" Kael stood up from the the sofa he was sitting on and came closer to us with his hands folded.

'So, you can't come to greet your father, right? Good thing your mate is a polite young lady, and she's not disrespectful as you are," Kael's dad said.

"I didn't hear you. I'm here now," Keal said with indifference. I nudged him in his stomach secretly but his father's hawk-like eye picked it up immediately.

'Now, see she's even asking you to stop speaking to me in that manner, beside, I didn't call to ask about your welfare, I'm only concerned about Stacy. But seeing Your mate I believe she will take care of him for me, won't you young lady?"


"I will," I lied.

'Good I will tell Merida that Kael's mate is wonderful."

"That's not why you called so why looking for me?" Kael asked raising his eyebrows in annnoyance.

'I don't know what to do with you," he lamented and ended the call. I felt out of place and I tapped Stacy to help teleport me back.

"I can't. Kael will have my head on a platter of gold. Tell him you want to go home now," Stacy whispered. I breathed in and out to ease myself.

'Kael, please I want to go back home. I'm feeling tired already." He looked at me like something wasn't wrong with me.

'Buy you just got here, and you said you wanted to stay the night," he reminded me of my words. I felt bad for going back on my word but I'm already afraid of everything.

'I know, but I want to go back now, please," I pleaded. And he nodded putting his arm around my waist and he teleported me back to my room in Adam's and Rachael's new mansion.

'I don't know why you wanted to come back immediately you left, but your wish is my command," he said and he didn't waste time before leaving.

I went back to the bed to lie down and get some rest before I start sleeping during the day.

A knock sounded on my door and I walked over and opened the door.

' Hilda, what's wrong?"

'Nothing is wrong, just that dinner is served. Mr. Adam said to call you. His orders," She said bowing her head down.

"Okay, I will be down shortly," I replied and she nodded before leaving.

I wore a sweater to make myself more warm and I went down.

Racheal was there already waiting for the rest of us. I sat down at her left hand side because I knew Adam would be sitting at the head of the table.

'Hope you are feeling better now?" I asked and she smiled.

"Yes, I just don't like being trapped whiling traveling. But the moment I set my feet on the ground, I felt more energized," She explained smiling energetically.

'That's good to hear, Rachael. Can I ask something please?"

'Yes sure, go on."

'Who is that Butler and does he know Hilda?" I asked looking at her face and it was expressionless. That's strange Racheal face was a mirror.

"Yes, Hilda is his wife."

"Wife? Hilda was married."

"Yes, don't let Hilda know I told you this. They got married twenty years ago and they couldn't have a child so Hilda felt ashamed and ran away thinking he will get tired of a barren woman like her. He was hurt she would think like that, he said he married her because he loved her and was ready for any challenges that might come. So they separated.

'Divorced?"

'No, just separated. They might come back again because they still love themselves."

"But I saw hate, instead of love and longing in their eyes."

"You didn't look well, watch them and you will find it out yourself."

Adam started coming down the stairs and we quickly changed the discussion."
