'Your highness, I have bad news."

'An attack? What happened?" I said without looking at him, I was super worried.

"Your Uncle escaped from his cell but the door is still locked and nobody saw him leave. Not even his fellow inmates."

"How can he escape like that?'

'No one helped him escape. He did it by himself," Damian said and I looked up from the huge piles of files on my table.

'That's not possible. How?" I couldn't believe my ears.

'But it happened your highness, I told the inmate across this cell that if he tells me how your uncle escaped from his cell I would grant his freedom.

And he said your uncle waited till all the prison warden had left the prison before dipping his hand inside his pocket removing a marble and he put it in his mouth and suddenly, he disappeared from this cell. He tried telling one of the wardens but they didn't give him a listening ear so he kept silent about it," Damian reported.

"So that son of a bitch had something on him, no wonder I always feel restless anytime I'm around him. Well, what was the offense of the inmate so I can know if I want to release him or not."

"He stole money from the market. He is a member of this pack."

'Release him. And warn him never to steal or else the next time he does I won't be sparing his life." If there was one thing I hated in my pack it is telling lies. And his honesty gained him his freedom.

'As you wish your highness. But if I may speak?"

'Speak," I nudged him on. Damian always has something important to say so I like listening to him.

'Your uncle won't be coming back here with a weak force like the one he used before, so why don't we involve the white witch and recruit more men so we can be fully prepared whenever he strikes. It's just my opinion though."

"Then make sure you do all you have said. I don't want that traitor anywhere close to my pack. I wished I knew something like this would happen, I would have killed him when it was easier.

'Okay, Your highness." He bowed and left.

"I should have killed him the moment I caught him, now he has escaped my wrath. I couldn't stand the frustration but I was having a hold on myself over alcohol so I decided to take a walk instead.

While I was taking a walk in the forest alone, I heard some rustling from afar but my heightened sense of hearing made me hear it. I didn't know why but I had the impulse to hide. I stayed behind an oak tree. Soon three men walked closer to where I was hiding and they stopped as they were deeply involved in an argument.

'Ryan, how will you ask me to do such a thing to the Alpha? I can't do it no matter how much you pay me?"

'Stop being a fool, Azary, this is a golden opportunity for us . Beside, you can't tell me you like the Alpha, or are you in love with him?" The second man said trying to piss Azary. I rolled my eyes breathing in silently to hold in my wrath so I don't intervene now until I have heard everything.

'You can call me a fool if you like, but I am not going to do it. And I would like to continue my journey now. Thank you," Azary said as he continued his journey. The other two exchanged glances and they followed walking past him as they stopped in his front. Now I was sure they had something up their sleeves, but not my watch.

"What is it now? You want to use force? I am not interested and you both can't make me change my mind," he said, defiantly.

"What's wrong with you anyway? What did the Alpha do to you that earned this amount of loyalty?"

'You want to know, right? When I was a little boy, I was very carefree and stubborn like you both know, so one day I was all alone in this sane forest when I got attacked by two rogue wolves with no one to help me. They abducted me and were taking me to their hideout to show me to their leader before killing me.

That was when the current Alpha, still a young boy like me, rushed in saving me from the claws of death and his shoulder was torn from its joint. I'm so grateful and I will remain grateful to him," he concluded his story. I remembered him, I was hunting that day and I heard a piercing scream.

'That's your business, and not mine." And they punched his stomach. That was my cue to intervene. I came out of the shadows and they all gasped looking at me frightened. I scoffed rolling my eyes at them, I thought they were planning to attack me.

'Now you have to tell me who sent you." I said, and they exchanged glances.

"I don't know who sent them, I'm so sorry," Azary apologized and I waved him off.

"I know and I'm not asking you. You can leave and don't breathe a word about this to anyone," I said and he nodded, running away quickly.

'Now to you both. Who sent you? And don't waste my time." I was already furious.

'We can't tell. We will be killed if we dare breath a word," Ryan answered, seems like he's the most confident one among them.

The other man looked at Ryan, scared.

'It was…." But before I could stop him, Ryan had stabbed him with a dagger and he moved away from me.

"How dare you," I said, rushing at him to stop him because I knew he wanted to stab himself too.

I punched his hand and the dagger flew from his hand to a far distance and I knocked him down and he fell into unconsciousness.

'Pig!" I spat, mind linking a nearby soldier to take him to the prison.
