'I want to see the Alpha," I said, when I got to the palace gate in my manly disguise. The guards at the gates scorned at me.

'And what would the Alpha want to do with something like you. Go back, he's not around." I couldn't believe they were this rude. Well, breaking news I'm not leaving here until I get a job as a guard come sun or rain.

'You can't ask me to go back when I haven't seen him. He is around and I know that," I said, frowning now.

'Well, that's your business not ours. Now you have to leave," one of them said, standing up to push me away. That's when Derek came to the gate and I smiled at him but he looked at me strangely. Oh, I'm in a man's body and it would look weird. I froze my expression and looked at him with no expression written on my face, the guards opened the gate for him, greeting like they weren't rude.

'Welcome, Sir Derek."

"Is the Alpha in?" He asked and they nodded.

"Yes, but he's about going out for the Alpha's meeting."

"Okay, and why is he standing there?" He asked, finally sparing me a glance which I was grateful for.

"He wants to see the Alpha and we told him that he's very busy and won't be entertaining any guests. But he's acting stubborn." They lied and I opened mouth in astonishment.

'Young man, what happened?" He asked, waiting to hear my own side of the story.

'That's a lie. That's not what happened. I told them I want to apply for a post of a guard. But they said they Alpha is not around and I should go back because peasants aren't allowed in the palace." I added a little lie to help myself. A white lie if you ask me.

He looked at me and back at them contemplating who to believe and I needed to sow a seed of guilt in him.

"So peasants aren't allowed in the palace of their Alpha. Then I don't know where we would be allowed in, I believe you are a just man," I said, and he looked away. Rhea you are doing well I said to myself.

"Fine, let him in. At least let him see the Alpha and he would know his stand on the matter," he ordered, and they nodded bowing. He got back inside his car and I followed him smiling at the annoyed men. I held my urge to roll my eyes at them because it would look very feminine.

"Evans, he wants to see the Alpha. Take him to the throne room and ask the Alpha if he wants to see him," Derek said, walking away. I looked at his back smiling, if they know I'm the one they wouldn't have been this aloof with me but what do I care.

'Follow me." I nodded following him. I was acting like a novice when infact I was almost as good as him in knowing the palace. I was happy to be here and it felt like a piece of my body was added back to where it belongs.

'Stay in this room. I will ask the Alpha if he wants to see you," he said. I nodded walking into the room that I was supposed to be crowned Luna, but I was humiliated in it instead. I wiped a tear that was defying my restraint on my eyes. I don't want to make myself look suspicious.

The door opened and Axel walked in, I looked at his muscular and taut body. I scoffed at him looking away, he looks fine and Derek said he was missing my presence.

He asked my name and age, which I gave a fake name, while asking me questions he kept looking at me like he could recognize or feel me. I got tensed and I started fidgeting with my hands.

When he gave me the job, I was so happy that I was able to get the post I needed to be able to complete this mission. He walked away and I was staring at his back. I noticed he had reduced greatly in weight and he had eyebags with dark circles.

I went out of the room going to the Servant's quarters because I know that's where I'm supposed to go to. I was showed my corner with a bed, I laid on it and I soon fell into a deep slumber. I was woken by a man who was looking at me strangely, I look at him with surprise.

'Good evening. Who are you and when did you come here?"

"I'm Gabriel, and I'm the new guard. I answered, raising up.

'Wow. That's easy. I have never heard such fast employment. I'm Andrew the Alpha's Bodyguard."

'Oh. Aren't you going to follow him? I heard he's leaving for the Alphas meeting now."

'No...I'm sick so he permitted me to rest. Welcome bro," he said, offering me his hand and I shook him wobbly. He looked at me strangely.

"You are quite an interesting man. You sleep with your legs shut like a woman, and you don't shake like a man not to talk about your very soft palm." I looked at him, I hope he haven't found out I'm not a man.

"I didn't notice," I said.

"It's fine. You are gay like Azra, you both will get along very well." I looked at him mortified.

"I'm not gay, I'm straight. I didn't know I behaved like a woman and it wasn't intentional." I knew I sounded very defensive.

"Hold up, I was joking no need to get worked up. You need to loosen up." Andrew said, he's right but my condition made me so worked up.

"I'm sorry for behaving like that, but I don't like to be called a woman when I'm not."

"Nah. No need for you to apologize. I understand." He said patting my back before leaving.
