After their first date ended, Louis stopped Cleopatra's Lamborghini in front of his modest home. The house looked in stark contrast to the luxurious car parked in front of it. Louis glanced at his small, simple house, trying to avoid the awkward glance toward Cleopatra sitting beside him.

Softly, he said, "This is my house. Small and a little shabby," trying to downplay his situation. He felt uncomfortable with the glaring difference between his life and Cleopatra's.

However, oddly enough, Cleopatra didn't react. She wasn't shocked or seemed to think less of the house. She simply kept her iconic sunglasses on, stepped confidently out of the car, and walked toward Louis. She closed the car door with a calm gesture and then opened Louis's door, signaling him to get out.

"Grab the stuff from the trunk. I'll wait here," she said, her tone authoritative.

Louis could only stare at Cleopatra for a moment. Something inside him felt disappointed—he had hoped for some acknowledgment or extra attention from Cleopatra after spending time together at the mall, but instead, it felt like she just regarded their closeness as part of her business plan.

Everything felt like a game, and Louis was just another pawn in it.

With mixed emotions, Louis got out of the car and walked to the trunk. He pulled out the shopping bags Cleopatra had bought for him, trying to suppress the feelings that were beginning to eat at him.

When he closed the trunk, he glanced at the Lamborghini, which was ready to leave, and, without a word, it sped off, leaving him behind. Unintentionally, Louis felt a small pang of sadness—an emotion trying to surface, but he quickly suppressed it.

He hurried inside his house, trying not to dwell on those feelings. As soon as the door closed behind him, he set the shopping bags down and pulled out the shirts and suit Cleopatra had bought for him.

He stared at himself in the mirror, inspecting his appearance. The shirt fit him well, but Cleopatra's confident and stylish image lingered in his mind. Louis stared at himself with a blank expression, as if searching for answers to what he was truly feeling.

He tried to remind himself. "I'm just an ordinary guy, Louis. I'm poor, and she… she comes from a world so different from mine." He thought to himself. All of Cleopatra's attention should have just been part of the business arrangement. This was all just pretend. They were both playing roles in a well-rehearsed drama. But despite his attempt to calm himself with logic, his heart felt heavier. There was something nagging at him, something he couldn't explain.

Louis took a deep breath and shifted his gaze from the mirror. He knew this wasn't the time to doubt everything. But even though he told himself not to get caught up in these feelings, a part of him wanted to be more than just a tool in Cleopatra's game. Yet, he pushed that thought aside, trying to stay rational. This was not a love story—it was just business.

The next day, the morning air felt heavier than usual, as if a sense of anxiety clung to each step Cleopatra took. As she stepped out of the house to head for the car, Peter Moon, her personal secretary, was already waiting politely by the car. They both left quickly, and the morning drive was filled with tense silence. Cleopatra sat in the back seat, staring out the window, but her mind was far away, focused on the big plans she was orchestrating.

However, when Peter finally broke the silence, the atmosphere became more serious.

"Ms. Thompson," Peter said cautiously, "I've received new information. Yesterday, your uncle, Mr. Theodore William Blake, secretly met with the Dimitri Group's family lawyer, Jack Walker, at Jack's house."

Cleopatra immediately straightened, furrowing her brow, and stared at Peter sharply. "What did they talk about?" she asked, her voice growing more serious. "Is Theodore planning to manipulate business dealings to seize my father's wealth and assets?"

Peter nodded slowly, holding her growing attention. "I'm not sure yet, Ms. Thompson," he replied carefully. "But I'll dig deeper into this. I need time to verify everything. We have to be cautious. This can't be taken lightly."

Cleopatra fell silent for a moment, her sharp eyes focused on the view outside the car, but her mind was racing with thoughts of the information Peter had just shared. The anger she had been trying to keep at bay began to surface. Theodore—her cunning uncle—might be trying to sabotage her plans, ruining everything she had worked for.

Cleopatra knew well that Theodore wouldn't hesitate to do anything to get what he wanted. And if she wasn't careful, everything could spiral out of control.

"Peter," she said, her voice heavy, "we need to move faster. If he's planning something with that lawyer, we can't wait too long. Theodore won't stop until he gets what he wants."

Peter paused for a moment, nodding seriously. "I understand, Ms. Thompson. I'll make sure we get the right information, and fast. This will be my top priority."

Cleopatra closed her eyes briefly, feeling the weight of the tension building in her. She knew exactly what she had to do—uncover the truth behind her father's death, James Thompson, and make sure nothing would stand in the way of justice. However, the closer she got to the truth, the more she realized there were darker and more dangerous things she had to face.

"Peter, I have to face him. I won't let him defeat us like this," she said firmly, though her voice carried an edge of tension. "I need a better plan. We need to make sure we're one step ahead of Theodore."

Peter glanced at her through the rearview mirror, his eyes full of understanding, and nodded solemnly. "Of course, Ms. Thompson. We'll do everything we can. We'll work fast."

Cleopatra took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing thoughts, but anxiety still gnawed at her. She knew that if Theodore was truly trying to steal what was rightfully hers, she had to act carefully and strategically. One wrong move could have disastrous consequences, and Cleopatra knew she couldn't let herself get caught in her uncle's scheming game.

"Don't let him profit from this, Peter," Cleopatra continued, her voice lower but full of resolve. "I've already lost my father, I won't let Theodore take everything from me and my family."

Peter nodded in understanding. "I'll make sure nothing happens without your approval, Ms. Thompson. We'll be ready for any eventuality."

Cleopatra looked out the window again, but this time, she wasn't just seeing the view ahead of her. Her mind was already ahead, planning the steps she would take to confront Theodore. There was no turning back now, no room for doubt. Cleopatra knew the truth had to be revealed, and she would do whatever it took to make it happen.

After a few moments, the car stopped in front of the building. Cleopatra opened the car door with determination and stepped out, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Peter followed behind her, steadfast in his duties.

As they entered the building, Cleopatra felt that the coming days would be filled with threats, but she would never back down. Everything was at stake—and she was ready to face anything to achieve her goal.
