Husky started to lick her face, meanwhile someone's face was getting darker. Noah wanted to stop her from getting closer to the dog, who always ruin their time together. He was about to say something but Carissa was well aware of his intentions, "Don't you dare to chase him away today." She warned him in a threatening tone. Carissa was mad at him last time too when she wanted to play with him but he chased him away. This time she does not want this at all.

Noah swallowed the large gulp of anger and tried to make his voice as gentle as possible, "Eat first". He clenched his teeth unintentionally.


"I will eat later". She spoke while running her hands in the thick fur of husk who was melting away under her touch.

Carissa ran with husky all over the house. Husky too was enjoying this a lot as Noah does not play much with him. He remembered that he has never taken husky on a walks before. Mr. Martin and other house keepers take care of him. He felt bad for treating him badly. After all he is a human, no matter how arrogant and indifferent he appears in front of others it takes him an huge effort to break the hearts of people. In his free time he thinks about such things a lot. If he will started to become friendly with others and get rid of coldness in his attitude one day his company and name will vanish too that will starve thousands of people to death. It is a better choice to suffer alone than making people suffer.... and he is gladly paying the price. When you are on top, people envy you without knowing what you have been through and what you are going through.

Noah broke the chain of his thoughts and gave up. He let her do what she wants. If his hands are tied he does not want to tie her with his too. At least she should have the freedom to enjoy the life to the fullest. This way he won't have any regrets. He will gladly support her in everything unless it is not dangerous for her. He glanced at her went to his room and dressed up in a metallic silver skin fitted suit with a black matching shirt and tie.


No matter what he wears, he makes it looks exquisite, even if it is an ordinary and cheap tracksuit. He was ready for office.

Noah came down and saw her combing the fur of husk. He hates it the most when his air floats in the air. He has never allowed this before, "I am going. Are you coming or not?" they were already getting late from office. Noah did not wait for her and went to sit in the car. He was in a very good mood when he woke up but the incident from earlier made him sulky and his mood dropped.


Carissa ran to follow him and looked at him with gritted teeth. He ignored her to avoid any dispute.

"Noah what should I buy for your parents?" she asked. It is her first time going to his place and it is rude to go there empty handed.

He spoke while looking outside, enjoying the calamity of early morning, "They don't need anything. You don't have to buy presents". For him it is a bother and he don't want her to go through the hassle.

She rolled her eyes, this man has no sense of affection. Carissa wanted to beat him, "With their status I know they don't need anything but still I will feel bad." she wanted him know what she is feeling.

"Okay, I will buy them". He replied indifferently.

"No. Please tell me". She looked at him with puppy eyes. It will lose its worth if he will buy them. To his parents it will appear like she has bought them half heartedly. Carissa felt herself getting conscious of the opinion of his parents about her and surely she does not want to leave a bad impression on them.

Because she insisted, he told her many things randomly which she took a note carefully.

It was another hectic and busy day in office. With him in office she feels like a war is going outside. He is a perfectionist with a strong sense of responsibility which Carissa admires a lot. Changing your personality and your interests is not an easy deal. The day went well in the office.

Next day was a weekend, Carissa cleaned up her whole house, as it was a mess. Durning week days she becomes hell tired after coming back to home from office so, it is hard for her to manage everything on her own. She eats dinner, do some pending work and sleep.

When the apartment was clean and she was satisfied with her work, Carissa first went to a burger shop in a mall, to fill her empty stomach and replenish her energy. Couples shopping together with their kids was a sight which filled her heart. She has never experienced coming to shopping with her parents. It was a weekend so a lot of dfamilies were there to enjoy it and spending their time with each other making her realize about the emptiness she have in her perfect life.

Carrisa roamed in fhe mall before finding presents to her liking. Now, she is independent and does not get money from her father but in case of emergency she can use a card with a certain limit. Her budget is already tight, Carissa pushed away her pride and used her father's money.

When she came back it was already evening. After getting a long and relaxing warm shower she slipped in to a black formal dress. It was reaching till her knees and beside her legs no other part of her body was exposed. She wore a black block heels to match with her dress. Her short hair were falling on her shoulders. She gave herself a no makeup look which was making her look stunning.

At the moment, her door bell rang. She hurriedly carried her clutch and a large bag. Carissa literally ran to open the door. She lnew who is here. When she opened the door, his tall figure came in sight.

Coincidentally, he was also wearing a black suit. They looked like a happily married couple wearing matching clothes. He glanced over her body from head to toe and took a deep breath. 'It is going to be hard to have a self control tonight.' He thought takinga deep note of her beauty. He was already on the verge of losing every bit of his self control now.

"Let's go." She popped out the bubble of his thoughts. He pushed away his thoughts and extended his arm to carry the bags she was holding and Carissa let him help. She was starting to rely on him without her knowledge.

The journey to White's residence was covered in complete silence.

When they reached there, Carissa looked at the palace like building with her jaw dropping. "Close your mouth". He reminded her to close her dropping mouth.

"I never knew your parents had such a beautiful house". The house was designed in a manor style. It was so big that if a horse run there it will become tired.

Noah's Mom, Esme was already waiting for them. When she saw Carissa she was so excited and squeezed her in a bear hug. Even though it is Carissa second time meeting her and when she first met her it was only for few minutes but still she feels very close to her.

Carissa also warmly hugged her back. Esme totally ignored her son. Noah loomed at her mom speechlessly, she abandoned her own son.

When Carissa entered in the house it was more beautiful, furnished with white and gold interior. The living had a big round sofa. She sat there with them. Esme was on cloud nine. Because it is the first time he ever brought someone home and this time he did not deny anything this means he is interested in getting marry and this is her only wish to see her son get marry.

At that time a very beautiful girl with blue hair and her brown hair that were reaching to her waist were opened and falling like a waterfall. She was extremely beautiful. With her there was a pair of kids. The baby girl had a blue eyes and the baby boy had brown hair just like the lady whom Carissa guessed as their mother.

The baby girl ran towards Noah and opened her arms to hug him. Noah smiled so beautifully that she forgot to breath. Noah carried her and made her sit in his lap. She kissed his cheek and he pulled the tip of her nose.

While the boy ran towards Esme to meet her. She kissed him and made him sir beside herself.

"Hello". The beautiful girl said while smiling. "Hi". Carissa awkwardly replied to her.

At that moment Esme stepped in, "Let me introduce, she is Hani, my elder daughter in law and they are my grandchildren, Emma and Elian".

"They are so cute. Nice to meet you," Carissa extended her hand towards Hani which she took in her hand for a handshake.

"Emma you have forgotten to meet me today". Esme complained to her four years old daughter.

"Today I will play with Noah". She announced her decision.
