Hani and Carissa chatted excitedly. When there are more than one woman, that place is never quiet. As Hani's father died when she was young due to a sudden heart failure when his company went under. Her mother struggled each day to support her, to support her dreams but life is short and does not go as we plan. 5 years ago she was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Hani felt lost but there is always an opportunity that lies in the problem. She met Zain unexpectedly. Zain is the elder brother of Noah. His gentle nature was heartwarming. That's when her mother became interested in saving Hani. Zain is gentle but his personality is quite similar to Noah. After a year of marriage Hani was pregnant with twins but due to the misunderstanding caused by others she had to leave him. Zain was a military doctor. He left his family to pursue his dreams. But his colleague Isla who claimed to love him created misunderstandings in his marriage life and blamed Hani for having a bad character. Zain, unaware of the truth and pregnancy of his wife resented her for three years. In the end, the truth always wins. Justice prevails. Even though she did not want to reconcile with him but because of twins and the promise she made with her mother, Hani had to take this bitter gulp. It was hard for her to accept him again. A man who trusts others beside his wife, then what's the purpose of living with him? Carissa also lived alone all her life so finding someone who is ready to listen and makes you feel like a family is rare. So, they clicked well together.

"Do you like Noah?" Hani suddenly asked Carissa to panic. Noah was sitting at some distance from them....talking with his father. But he could listen to all of the conversations of the ladies. His ears stood straight. He also wanted to know about her feelings.


He knows it is a bad manner to eavesdrop but he has no control over his feelings right now. It was a matter of life and death for him, "About liking him I am trying to find an answer". Carissa chose to be honest with Hani.

Hani was not satisfied with her vague answer, and she wanted to ease the worries of Carissa because she can totally relate with her and providing an honest opinion was the best she can do to help her, "I don't know much about Noah but one thing is for sure he is not someone who can't be tamed." When Hani got married and everyone in whites family accepted her but he remained indifferent with her. Accepting someone as a part of your family out of nowhere is not easy. Still he did not hold himself and told her to get lost. She was heartbroken but did not say anything to Zain as it can complicate things between brothers and that was a wise move of her.

At the moment Noah felt bad for treating Hani badly. What can he do now? The arrow has already left the bow.


"Yeah, I totally agree. He is way too overbearing". Suddenly both of them started to bad mouth him.

Noah clenched his fist tightly. These ladies and their gossiping instincts…. Damn.


"But there is one thing for sure he is very caring. If it weren't for him maybe I would have been dead long agi." Her words suddenly startled Carissa but Hani continued, "If you will marry him I am sure he will take good care of you". Hani finally said something good about him.

He really wanted to thank her right now. But remained oblivious.

"I know about this too, and this makes me insecure. I feel like I am not worthy of his status and I am not good at taking care of someone". Carissa opened her heart in front of Hani.

"We are not perfect at all. We are people with flaws and this is love. If the other party is embracing you we should not push them away. Don't motivate yourself, you have a good family background, you know a lot of things, you are highly educated, so don't feel inferior and on the top of everything you are beautiful. Especially your eyes. I am a girl and I love them. I am sure he must go crazy over them". Hani winked at her and Carissa blushed. Hani was right; he is damn crazy for her grey pupil.

"You can still learn to take care of him and about these insecurities, if he loves and supports you no one will be able to snatch him away."

It was like Hani blew the fog in her mind. Carissa started to become more aware of her feelings.

At that moment Zain came, he is the elder brother of Noah, a doctor. When Noah was sick he was the one who came for a check up but she did not expect him to be his brother.

Carissa was stunned to see the man and know the fact that he is Noah's brother. She was embarrassed to face him, because in his house she was giving orders and moving freely. She could not meet his eyes again nor he asked her or Noah anything regarding the matter. It is their life and he respects their decisions. Noah is no more a kid he can take a better care of things as compared to them. Zain also understood the whole situation now. He was glad to see his brother settling down in his love life too.

At the dining table,

Hani was talking about how she got married when she suddenly thought of something. Hani turned towards Carissa, "Guess what Noah said to me when we met for the first time?"

Carissa looked confusingly at Hani then at Noah who glanced at Hani coldly. There was a threat in this coldness which she ignored completely.

"what did he say?" Carissa was curious to know more about him .

"Scram". Hani mimicked his way of talking with a stern face.

Noah cursed in his heart.

Carissa glanced at him in astonishment. How can he say such a thing to his sister in law? He is so unpredictable.

Meanwhile, Zain's face turned dark. This is the first time he got to know such a thing happened to his precious and innocent wife. He glared at Noah but his eyes were sharper than him. Carissa thought of him as a very gentle person but the vibes and aura he was radiating was more chilling than Noah. She was afraid. He was actually trying to take him down with his eyes only.

Noah did not look at Zain but he was aware of his gaze. Without looking at Zain, he said "Stop glaring". He had no excuse to make and he felt guilty.

"I will talk to you later". Zain spoke gritting his teeth.

"Zain left it. I said it for fun". Hani did not expect such a reaction from him.

Esme chimed in, "Why leave him? If he is an adult it doesn't mean he can bully anyone. Zain be strict with him".

Noah sighed and looked at Hani, "I apologize". His eyes were sincere.

She smiled, "It's okay. I have already forgiven you long ago".

"You". Zain pointed a fork at Noah, "better behave in future".

"Yes". No matter how much power he has in home he is still a young boy. Carissa got to know a new side of him and she was happy to know more of him.

The dinner was eaten in a very cheerful mood. Carissa suddenly remembered about the gifts. She whispered to Noah, "I bought gifts only for your parents". She was unaware that Zain and Hani are also here.

"I have bought for them". He replied while chewing on a piece of meat.

Carissa felt so touched. He did not let her down.

She gave Esme a Channel perfume. Esme is a CEO of a perfume and cosmetics brand so Carissa put in a lot of effort to buy it for her. It was not released yet but she brought it for her and gave a neck tie to his father. Noah already sent a game counselor and a huge bag of chocolates from different brands for Emma to their home.

All of them in the family liked her as their daughter in law.

One the way back to home Carissa was happy. She feels like she has gotten a new family. "So, you think I am very overbearing?" Noah suddenly spoke, grabbing her attention.

Carissa coughed violently and scratched her head nervously. She knew he must have listened to all of my blabbering. She made sure he won't be able to listen to anything. 'Does this man have snake ears?' Carissa thought as she bit her lower lip.

He held her chin and with his thumb he made her stop tormenting her lip and whispered, "This is my work why are you doing it?". Her face turned red at his words.
