Zain looked at her speechlessly. He really did not expect such a difficult question. "I don't know about him. If you asked me this question 10 years ago maybe I could have given you an answer but right now it is like an impossible puzzle that I cannot solve".

Carissa sighed deeply. "Then what should I do? This time he is really angry". She was troubled.


Zain crossed his arm on his chest, "About this, you should think on your own because he does not need anything. Even if you will buy something he would have it already and maybe in the latest model. Poor people like us cannot afford him".

Carissa laughed at him, "You are not poor".

Zain made a sad face, "Of course I am. I am a salary person."


Zain does not get any support from his family. Even though he has a huge property and amount fixed under his name but it is not earned by him. So, how can he use the hard earned money of others? His pride does not allow him.

Same was the case with Carissa. Her father doesn't provide her any financial support due to her craziness if she will have enough money they don't know when and where she will fly to satisfy her adventurous interest. These days things are mostly under control and she cannot do anything because she doesn't have enough money. All Carissa has is a salary from the job. She lived the life of a princess and even though she has tried to control many useless expenses it is difficult for her to meet ends.


"I am sorry then…" Zain could only apologize to her and it was better to let them solve their issues. If he gave her some advice and later Noah did not like it then his younger brother will surely kill him.

"Don't be. It's okay." Carissa took a deep breath and saw the door opening, his tall and dark figure entered the room. He was wearing a black suit looking more exquisite and dominating. He glanced at her and turned towards Zain. He did not ask anything but Zain could read his thoughts. "She is fine now. There is nothing to be worried about." Zain paused and whispered near her, "Don't give her a hard time". He tapped his shoulder and went outside leaving both of them together.

'Now she is using my own brother, well played Carissa'. Noah thought and clenched his teeth.

She nervously looked at him. "Did you eat?" he asked and she obediently nodded. "Good." He settled on the sofa and turned on the TV and started watching news.

She glanced at him from the corner of her eye, "Hey Panther". she called him but he ignored her. Now, she was getting emotional. The feeling of being ignored by the one you love most was hurting her badly. Her eyes were getting teary. "Can't you forgive me for the last time?" a tear left her eye, "I will not do such a thing again. I promise". She tried to gain his trust again.

His heart ached at her tear soaking voice. But he has to be strong willed to avoid the chances of occurrence of such an incidence. His face remained the same, with no emotions. Carissa stood up from the bed and went near him. "Please". She literally begged this time.

"This time no". He was stern.

"I did not want to hurt Harrison. I just could not think of anything at that moment and that was the only way."

He frowned at her, "Listen Carissa, there is no one way in the world. It is just our inability to make decisions and you badly failed to make a proper decision at that moment". He criticized her harshly. "And another thing, you cannot hurt him even if it means risking your own life? You can die but you cannot hurt another person?"

"I admit my fault. I did wrong". She appeared to be apologetic.

"Its good if you know. Move, I have to watch the news". He coldly ignored her again.

She sobbed and quietly went back to the bed. Her eyes were getting red and swollen due to the continuous crying. If she knew the consequences of acting rashly she would have never done such a thing.

Meanwhile, Noah was getting irritated by her sobs. He threw the remote on the TV screen. "Why the hell are you crying now?" he shouted. More tears fell from her eyes because of his yelling, "What do you want me to do?" She asked him with her tear soaking face.

He took a deep breath, but his voice was piercing, "Nothing much. Just tell me before doing anything and promise not to do such a daring thing again and if you did….." he glared at her with his dark eyes, "I don't know what will I do". He threatened her to make her stop from crying and from acting rashly again.

She melted the Panther with her tears. Noah went towards her and gave her a hug. He was feeling bad for shouting at her and being harsh. "I am sorry for shouting. But you cannot imagine how worried I was. The thought of losing you was killing me. I am telling you to just stay by my side, quietly, without causing any trouble. About the rest.....I will deal with them. You don't have to think about anything". He spoke in a single breath. She is fine now, in front of his eyes but he was still anxious and worried. "How can you be so dumb and think of killing your own self for others?" He was still a little angry at her.

Carissa looked up at him, she did not like him calling her dumb. "I never tried jumping in the river before so I wanted to give it a try….." She spoke honestly making him turn dark again, what was he going to do with her?

"Okay continue your adventures, later don't come complaining. This is the last time I am saving you…"

She did not let him finish, "Why? Next time you will leave me to die?" She was enjoying the whole situation now, teasing him was the only joy now. Because he was never going to leave her, she was sure and from where did this confidence come from, she doesn't know.

Noah took a deep breath and smirked, "Of course I will not leave you, but what I will do later..... will make you unable to leave your room".

Her face changed. What the hell was he talking about? He quietly went back to the sofa, leaving her astonished figure. She was still looking at him trying to figure out his meaning. Noah winked at her, helping her in finding an answer. She coughed violently realizing his meaning, meanwhile he laughed in his melodious voice.
