"Is there something that you want to do?" He asked while sitting on the driving seat.

"Shall we go and meet your parents?" Carissa suggested. Actually deep down in her heart she was worried about them. Of course their most capable and most in demand son got married without parents.


"Okay". He agreed.

After sometime, he was parking the car in the parking lot of White's residence. Carissa was nervous. It was not a weekend but he already informed his parents and they were waiting for them.

"I am nervous". She told him. "They will not eat you alive. There is nothing to be nervous about." He tried to console her but heart was not calming down.


Esme was already waiting for the couple. As soon as she saw them, she was so happy. Finally, her youngest son also got married. It was like her last wish was fulfilled. She hugged Carissa warmly and then Noah too. Adam whites also congratulated his son and daughter in law.

"Now I think I can die in peace." Esme said. Noah glared at her Mom, can she stop talking about dying on his biggest day. His glare was enough for her to know what he is saying, "Okay… okay I will stop talking about it."


 Adam whites spoke, "Is it okay for you to get married like this? What about Zak? You should have asked him for permission first".

"We have our reasons, Carissa has to deal with some things when we will take care of them, we will have a wedding". He spoke for his wife. His parents cannot question his decisions if he is delaying the wedding then there must be a solid reason behind it for him to take such a step.

"Whatever it is…. I am happy for you". Esme smiled at her son, it was like she was seeing her son again. In the past 10 years she no longer felt he was their son. If he is happy then it is all that matters.

"Carissa come with me". Carissa first looked at her mother in law then at her husband, he gave her an affirmative look and she followed her.

Esme took her to her room and made her sit on the bedroom benching, she went to the dressing room and came back with a gold color very beautiful box. Carissa looked at her in confusion, Esme handed her a box, "This is your wedding gift". She opened the box and there was a very beautiful bracelet inside it, filled with various beautiful and expansive stones which Carissa didn't know. But whatever they were she knew it was very expensive.

"I don't know whether I should accept it or not…" Carissa looked vexed.

Esme patted her shoulder, "Of course you should accept it, you are a part of our family.. my cold hearted son chose you then it is obvious that you are important."

"but it looks very expensive…."

"It is not expensive at all. Take it". Because she was insisting so much Carissa accepted the gift happily, "Thank you….." She did not know what to call her.

"I am your Mom too. You can call me Mom okay?" Esme solved her trouble.

But it was hard for her to call the word Mother. She lost her mother at the age of 4 now she felt awkward with this word. She hesitated for a bit and finally spoke, "Thank you Mom". She awkwardly replied.

"That's like a good girl". Esme was happy, "But I have something to say, I never advise Hani like this but you know Noah is always an exception. He appeared to be cold hearted, he cannot show his emotions to others, you are already well aware that there is a huge responsibility on his shoulders but please don't give up on him. Sometimes he is harsh and doesn't care about others but you can change him. He cannot show his heart in front of others but I hope you can make him feel like home. About him, I can guarantee he will keep you happy". Carissa also does not have any doubts about this. He has already done a lot for her when there was no relationship between them but now she is his wife, he has given her his name, it is obvious that he will do his best and he is such a perfectionist there is no way that will make any mistakes. At that moment Carissa felt bad, because she was really keeping him on his toes and had already created a lot of trouble for him.

"I will try my best to make him happy". This is all she could say. Esme kissed her forehead, "I wish you guys a happy life ahead."

They ate lunch with his family. In the evening, Noah brought her to his house. All the servants already like her now they got to know she is the wife of Noah. They were more happy for the couple and gave them their sincerest congratulations.

Aaron was waiting for Noah in the study. He did not go to the office for a day and there was a huge pile of pending work. Noah turned towards Carissa, "You can look around. I have to deal with some urgent matters". She was understanding of his work and also she cannot stick with him all the time, "Don't worry about me you should go".

Carissa gave him her most beautiful smile. He hurriedly went towards the study room. Carissa roamed around the whole house, she felt tired walking in such a huge house, she played with husky, it was already night but he was still working.

Carissa went to his bedroom and saw the dressing room organized with the clothes of all the luxurious brands. She randomly picked out a pair of trousers and a T-Shirt and had a shower but he was still not back.

She waited for him, for quite a long time and finally he came outside massaging his temples. "Are you done? I was waiting for you to have dinner together".

His face instantly lit up looking at her, all the fatigue vanished. Aaron smiled at Carissa and left them alone.

"You don't have to wait for me". He does not want her to starve herself because of him. "You are working so hard, how can I eat alone?" She said.

He smiled, now there is someone to care for you. It felt different and foreign to him, "So you are turning into a caring wife?"

Carissa rolled her eyes at him, "Why do you always take things in a different way?"

"You know a strong denial means yes", he was having fun.

"Think whatever you like". She surrendered herself.

Noah smiled handsomely, "Okay stop being angry, my little angry bird and eat up".
