Carissa looked at him with fear visible in her eyes, Noah hugged her, "Sorry, for scaring you".

The warmth of his body calms her rapidly beating heart. Carissa tightly held the hem of his coat. Her eyes were getting moist due to the salty water. "Thank you….. Thank you for speaking up for me. In my whole life you are the only person who protected me and made them apologize. I know it was a forced one, but still…" She raised her head and captured his handsome face with her grey eyes, "I am happy".


A handsome smile was playing on his face, if she is happy then everything is worth it. He can do anything for her. Noah kissed the tip of her nose, "I am happy too".

"Why?"

"No reason". He smiled. "Let's go home".


"But it is still early".

"You promised me that you will be back early for a few days".


She sighed, "Okay. You should go first. I am coming".

"Hurry up". He went to the parking lot and started to wait for her.

Carissa immediately wrapped her things up and followed him. It was a long day for her.

Meanwhile, Jia came back to her office. She could not take it out on Carissa, so in a fit of rage the map of the room was turned upside down. Porcelain vases worth millions of dollars were broken into pieces and scattered all over the place. She held a paper cutter and ruined a very beautiful painting.

"Madam, you should calm down". Her secretary with a fear in her voice tried to make her stop, but it was a backfire. Jia threw a pile of documents on her face, then a glass bottle. She dodged it to protect herself which made the things messier. "YOU ARE FIRED. GET THE FU*K OUT OF HERE". She shouted at the top of her lungs, making a pitiful unemployed in a second. It was better to be unemployed than to tolerate her tantrums on the daily basis.

The secretary threw the documents she was holding and spoke with a voice that was not low at all. It was enough to catch Jia off guard, "I am glad you fire me. Now I will fu*k off. Thanks for showing me all of your tantrums." She was getting fired better to take everything out on her. Secretary immediately left before Jia could react.

"WHAT? NOW I HAVE TO LISTEN TO A SECRETARY TOO? GO TO HELL EVERYONE".  She cursed.

It was a bad day, simply a day of humiliation. 'Don't you think you will get away now you have Noah, Carissa. You have hurt my pride. I will get back for it'. She thought in her mind.

After returning to home, Jia told her mother everything. She was astonished. It is true that they cannot go against Noah, but now it is also proved that he loves her more than anything  in the world. She is his weakness, and through using this weakness they can make him on his knees.

"Don't worry, darling. Your mother is alive. I will not let your apology go in vain. In the near future he will be the one to apologize in the same way".

"Mom, cut the wings of that damn witch. She is flying very high. I want to see her fall".

"Just wait and enjoy the play. Don't get stressed over what happened today."

"I love you Mom". She hugged her mother, as she is the only one who supports her whether her decisions are right or wrong. She believes in the evilness of her mother. She got rid of a legal wife, this damn girl has no value at all.
