"Evidence?" James appeared to be reluctant.
"You do have something". Noah read his mind.
"How can I trust you? I don't even know who you are". Giving evidence which he kept for 22 years to a complete stranger is quite a deal.
"If you are thinking about the legal consequences about them you don't have to worry, the legal time period for a case has already expired. We just need the truth, if you will help us we will do anything which you will ask for". Aaron replied.
James remained still. He was hesitating .
Noah pulled out a wallet from his pocket and passed a black card on which the words were carved with gold.
"It will be enough for you to know who I am."
James read every single word and each word was making him go speechless. The man with whom the world is going crazy to meet, the man who doesn't even show his face in public is here.
"What is your decision now?" Noah asked this time.
James went inside the room and brought a laptop, "The videos are 22 years old, the quality is very bad".
"We will recover them." Aaron spoke.
"During the time of incident, I knew something is wrong, but I had no idea that there will be a murder case. Madam Sia asked me to remove the black box footage from the cars present on the site. I have a copy of them. Despite the severe consequences I kept them. Mr. Zak doesn't know about anything. He still thinks of it as an accident".
The video started playing on the laptop, it was not clear but a woman was brutally killed to death, a child was crying, trembling and in the end she fainted. Noah clenched his jaws and closed his eyes, the veins from his temples were popping out, showing the fury that is building inside him.
Aaron glanced at the man, who looked vulnerable. Who was not himself at all. Who was breaking down.
His love for her was not weak, that was breaking him, we always think that we are the one who are suffering most in the world. But the people are going through an indescribable pain, which they want to share with others to lift the burden that is weighing down their hearts, but they can't. The reality is so cruel and harsh, which makes them afraid.
"I hope you will be successful in getting justice for Madam Mira and Young madam Carissa." This sentence of James exploded the lava that was building inside him.
Noah held him by the collar, "Justice? Do you even know what it means? Shouldn't you have taken action for them in the past?" Noah punched his face so hard that the metallic red liquid started to ooze out from the corner of his mouth.
"THEY BLACKMAILED ME.THEY MADE A USE OF MY WEAKNESSES". James shouted at him. "I am living in guilt. I cut off from the world, people like me do not deserve to live in the world".
"Then, why did you commit crimes?" Noah questioned him.
"I became an acquaintance with a gang. I just do work like delivering the goods. I do not harm anyone."
Aaron held Noah to support and stop him from killing the man.
"Whatever you said right now, say the same thing with evidence in front of Mr. Zak. I have a recording of your testimony and your deeds." Noah pointed at him with his index finger, "Don't even think about running away. I will be keeping a close watch on you".
He left. Aaron gathered all the necessary things from James and made their way back. Noah's men started to keep a close watch at James Wilson. Every corner of his house was surrounded by them.
Noah ran his fingers in his hair due to the frustration.
It was already becoming dark. They were in the mountains so the area started to look more remote. His phone started to beep, showing her name.
Her beautiful and cheerful voice came through the transmitter, "How are you doing?" She asked.
"Fine. What about you?" His voice was filled with worry and concern.
"Me too. Are you coming back? Will you come to pick me up?"
"I am sorry Carissa, I will be late. Come outside, driver is waiting for you".
"Okay". She was disappointed. "Have a safe journey".
The call ended, and her voice was still echoing in the air. His eyes were turning red, pushing back the tears that were making them wet.
Carissa came back home, but he did not come back for the whole night. Noah was behaving weird since morning and it was making her anxious now. His phone was constantly off after she talked to him. In the end, Carissa stopped dialing his number and called someone else.
"Hello madam". Aaron said in a concerned tone, but he was trying his best to hide the worry.
"I am sorry to call you this late. Actually, I am worried about Noah…. Are you guys back from the site inspection?"
Aaron was flustered, there was no site inspection. But he is quick to understand the situation. What is happening with them and what has happened to them…. There is nothing that is a secret from Aaron.
"Sir, is in a meeting. I am afraid that we won't be back till morning".
"Really? Then continue your work. I will not disturb you anymore".
Carissa did not have any appetite. But the maids forced her to eat as Noah instructed them. She disappointedly went to bed, but there were no signs of sleepiness. Her grey eyes were wide awake. She started to work in annoyance. "Noah Whites you are cruel… I cannot sleep at all because of use". She shouted in the room to release the pent up feelings inside her.
Meanwhile, in a high class bar, a handsome man in a private room was gulping down drinks nonstop. A strong and a burning liquid was piercing his throat, his esophagus and stomach. But this pain cannot be compared to the hurt he was feeling.
He was not getting drunk. His alcohol tolerance was very high and since he became an adult and started drinking he got training for high tolerance. He wanted to get drunk, but helplessness was making him vulnerable. He was getting frustrated because he could not do anything for her, to ease her pain, to heal her wounds. He was always proud and arrogant, he always thought that the world revolves on his fingers, but this one woman…. One woman was making him experience a new feeling. What is it like to love someone, that you want to give her everything in the world, he was feeling it now.
Meanwhile, Aaron was troubled by him. He was drinking like it was water. "How should I make him stop drinking?" he murmured to himself.
He mustered up his courage and started to walk towards a Panther. At night, in the colorful lights of the club he was looking more scary. "Sir….we should…get….going…now". Aaron said to him.
Noah glanced at him with his bloodshot eyes and nodded. He stood up and stumbled and was about to fall on the cold marble floor but thanks to quick reflexes of Aaron, he held him. Aaron supported his weight and helped him walk off. With a lot of care he made him sit in the car. Noah rested his head on the headrest of the leather seat and closed his eyes.
Aaron glanced at him from the rear view mirror and asked him, "Sir, where do you want to go?"
"Office". Noah said with his closed eye. Noah was thinking about a lot of things. 'If it is hurting me so much then how hurt she will be?' He massaged his temple.
They were already in the company. Aaron helped him in getting to the office. "You can go now". He ordered and was left alone.
