THE PLAN
I know how that big empty head of that whole thing works, you know. And I will use her to my advantage. I will use her stupidity to win this battle. And I am also sure that her monstrous mother will never forgive her if they lose because of her. I will attain victory and also manage to pin them against each other. I will do to them what they always wanted to do with me and my father. I will pin them against each other, and I will enjoy the show as they tear each other apart while I hoist the flag of victory high!
"She has been drooling for you ever since she saw you. Didn't you see her earlier? She was over the clouds when I mentioned that you shared an office with her. She is a loose woman and a shameless b*tch. She would do anything to satisfy her lust without giving it a second thought. She would do everything she could to hurt me or take my place. And for that reason alone, she will come crawling to you on her knees the moment she gets a chance." I fume, and I all of a sudden don't know where this rage boiling in me is coming from.
And these tears? Shit! Why in hell am I crying?
"You are not thinking straight, Ellie!" Damian whispers. "Come on! There is a better way to go about this. You don't have to push that woman to me just to get."
"Why? Are you scared that you won't be able to contain yourself before her? Didn't you say you and Leo are not the same?" I fume.
He stares at me for minutes before speaking.
"So, is this all about that? I thought you had moved on." He mumbles, standing at a distance from me.
"I did, but it still hurts that my very own sister did that to me, and she wasn't even regretful. She still isn't even today, and she would never think twice about hurting me in the same way over and over again and again whenever she gets a chance." I say, drying away the tears.
"And you are using me to get revenge? Your husband?" Damian whimpers.
"I want to get even, and I'm sorry, but you are the only way I can attain my vengeance through, and she has proven how low she is willing to stoop just so she can have her way. Help, Damian!"
If I thought I sounded like a lunatic earlier, now I don't know what I sound like. He presumably thinks I have lost it all, and I really have. Nelly is driving me nuts, and it's high time I settle scores with her before the results of our DNA come out. Whatever happens after, I will have gotten my revenge. You think I'm insane, but no, I'm not. It's the power of vengeance.
"Do you love me, Ellie?"
What sort of question is that? "With all of my heart, Damian. If there has to be only one truth in my life, then my love for you would be that one single truth." I reply with all honesty.
"Yet you are doing this? It's like you are putting me to the test. Is that it?" He asks, and I cup his face.
"No, Damian. Far from it. I don't just love you with all of my heart; I also trust you with the whole of my heart. I know you have principles, and dignity is something you don't gamble on, and your love for me tops the endless list. For that, I lay all my love and trust in you."
"You trust me that much?" He queries with a deep, husky voice, scanning the deepest depths of my eyes for the sincerity of the answer I am about to give.
"I do, love. I trust you that much. And you are the only one I can entrust with this. Because, in the end, I don't want anything bad to happen to that bitch! I may be overcrowded with my thirst for vengeance, but I am still human, and I wouldn't want this to get out of control."
"Then I won't fail you. I will even do more than you expect." Damian says.
What?
"What do you mean?" I ask, curiosity choking me.
"You'll know. For now, can you give me some motivation? I need some courage to embark on this insane plan of yours."
"Yeah? What kind of motivation?" I ask.
"A kiss will do. Or do you have a better idea?" He pulls me to him, caging me in his arms.
Someone has calmed down, huh?
"Mmh. I'll reward you handsomely after you have succeeded in your task, hubby. Don't worry, I'll be so, so generous." I whisper on his lips, kissing them gently, and pull away.
"I'm not getting even a downpayment? I didn't know my wife was this mean."
"I am not mean, hubby. You see, we have lots of work waiting for us. So, Mr. Riccaforte Jr., you need to go to your office and start on your projects. Project Nelly should be your first priority today, but remember the limits, okay?" I tease.
"Limits. You don't have to worry, wifey, because this beast can only be lusted by one woman—you. But what if that project doesn't come? Have a plan B?"
"We don't need it. I know she will come."
"Okay, boss! I'll go prepare myself for your tasks. Have a good day, and prepare a sweet reward at the end of the day." He winks and pulls away from my hold.
"Sure, baby!" I say, and he strides out of my office.
I hope day one ends well according to my plan. Gracia should be next, and getting that woman to confess her sins won't be an easy task at all. And there are my missing friends, on the other hand. Where could they be? Where are you hiding them, Gracia?
"I can help you with whatever seems to be eating your mind!"
