These past days,mourning for Lily,I hadn't eaten or slept well,already weak.Getting up from the ground took effort.
But I managed to get myself up from the ground.
I stared coldly at Daniel.

He didn't ask a thing,just assumed I'd hit Emma.
I raised my hand and slapped him hard across the face.
Daniel was stunned,then furious.
"Rachel,what's wrong with you?"
Perhaps feeling embarrassed in front of Claire,he pointed at my face."You want a divorce?Fine,I'll give it to you.Let's go to the courthouse now!"
He dragged me to the car and drove to the courthouse.

The divorce was finalized quickly.I took the papers and left without looking back.
Behind me,Claire said to Daniel,"It's all my fault.If not for me and Emma,you and Rachel wouldn't have divorced."
Daniel' said with disgust."It's not about you.I've been fed up with her for ages.Divorce is for the best."
I just sneered.

Wandering aimlessly,I realized that without Lily,I had no home.
At an intersection,a truck sped toward me.
I didn’t have the time dodge.My body was flung into the air.
In a daze,I saw myself lying in a pool of blood,covered with a white sheet.
Then I was taken to the hospital.
I overheard nurses whispering.
"She lost her daughter just days ago.So tragic,mother and daughter gone one after the other."
"I heard her husband's a doctor here.Where is he?"
"I've never seen him.Ignoring his wife and daughter's deaths—what a heartless man..."
I looked at my corpse,the force of the truck was so hard that it didn’t look anything like a person,and lowered my eyes.
So,I was dead.
A nurse picked up my phone,found"Husband"in my contacts,and dialed.
She tried several times,but no one answered.
I wasn't surprised.Daniel often ignored my calls.
As she was about to to try again,my phone rang.
I leaned closer.It was my best friend,Jessica Lane.
She'd been on a business trip out of town.Hearing about Lily's death,she cut her trip short and rushed back.
The nurse answered and told her about my accident.
Soon,Jessica arrived.
She stared at my body in disbelief,then broke down in tears.
She couldn't accept that,after losing Lily,I'd met this fate.
I watched Jessica sob,heartbroken,wanting to comfort her,but my hand passed through her.I was just a soul now.
I withdrew my hand,unable to bear the sight of her crying anymore,and turned to see Lily floating toward me.
She called out excitedly,"Mommy!"
Seeing her,I hugged her tightly.
"Lily!"
"Mommy,I missed you so much."
"I missed you too."
I was overjoyed,but also puzzled.
Why couldn't Lily and I move on to the afterlife,or Heaven?
Jessica handled everything.
On the say of the funeral,she called Daniel,asking him to attend.
He didn't answer,probably with Claire and Emma.
Lily and I disliked lingering in the hospital,so I took her home.
As we entered,I saw Emma at the dining table,eating fried chicken.She was wearing Lily's dress,her hairclip,even drinking from Lily's cup.
Claire emerged from the kitchen with a dish,wearing my pajamas!
