This weekend,my best friend Emma joined me for shopping, and I invited her to have dinner at my place by the way.
“Amy, it’s been ages since I’ve tasted your cooking! You have to show off your skills today,”said Emma, looping her arm around mine with a big smile.

With my best friend by my side, I couldn't help but feel happy.
As soon as we entered the community gate, we noticed a group of uncles,aunts,and grandparents gathered together noisily. Surpringly, the middle of it all was Lily, who just wouldn't leave me alone.
Lily's eyes had already fixed on me.When our eyes met,the corners of her mouth curled up into a triumphant smile.
Her expression clearly declared war on me.
She quickly turned to the people around her and said meaningfully,“Oh,Aunt Wang,you underestimate those shameless people.Some people still dare to swagger around and show off in public!”
The moment Lily spoke, everyone turned to me in unison, pointing and whispering.

“It's her.It's her.”
“The bitch who stole someone else's boyfriend.”
“Just look at way she dresses. She doesn't look like a good person.She's young but doesn't act her age. Tsk,tsk.”

As soon as Emma heard these words,she fumed. Before I could stop her, she marched straight over.
Pointing at Lily's nose,she said,“What are you talking nonsense about here?Do you have any idea what your boyfriend is like?He's a greasy,narcissistic,and lewd man.Only you treat him like a treasure!You keep saying that others are seducing your boyfriend!In fact,except for you,a girl with a love-obsession, no one else would take a fancy to him at all!”

Lily tried to argue back.
But Emma didn't give her a chance,“It's okay if you have bad eyesight,but please don't take others for blind people,okay?You're young but you're seriously ill.You'd better go to the hospital and have your eyes checked as soon as possible!”
I really wanted to clap for Emma.But I thought the thing that Lily needed to treat most was her brain.
I didn't know how much nonsense was in it.
Lily's face flushed with rage, her eyes blazing. It was clear she was furious, though she was trying to hold it in.
She retorted,“I'm not sure if I'm rambling, but some people know it in their hearts.They don't even dare to come out and refute me.Are they feeling guilty?”
Lily flashed a smug, mocking smile.
Her eyes never left me.
And the onlookers around clearly believed what Lily said more.
I wasn't fazed at all.Looking straight into Lily's provoking eyes, I calmly walked towards her.
Emma was so angry that she didn't know whether to laugh or cry,“Amy,you don't have to be afraid.I'll go and call the security guard right now.”
“No need,”I held Emma back.
Lily's smirk widened as she taunted,“What's the matter? Did I strike a nerve? Are you embarrassed? Is that all you’ve got? Go ahead, try to kick me out!’”
Lily looked like a winner.
I looked at her with a faint smile and said softly,“I know you're resourceful. You’ve sent me anonymous packages to intimidate me and spread rumors to slander me. You're impressive. But tell me, why couldn’t you stop the police from hauling your boyfriend away?”
The I mentioned the police, Lily's smug expression shattered. Watching her face fall, I couldn’t help but find it amusing.
Lily became hysterical,pointing at my nose,“It's all you,you bitch,who framed him!If you can't have him,you want to destroy him.You're so cruel!”
I couldn’t help but laughed out loud. She was really hopeless.
Sure enough,a girl with a love-brain had her own set of logic.
It was pointless to arguing with her.
I calmly explained the situation to the onlookers and showed them the police report and the receipt from the authorities.
After clarifying the truth,the crowd nodded and dispersed.
