Henry's gaze was icy as he looked at Melanie.
"I've told you before that I'm only getting back with Selena. She's the one I've always loved, and that's never changed."
Melanie's composure shattered, and she burst into tears.

"How can you say you don't love me when you divorced her three times because of me? You filled me with hope over and over, only to cruelly smash it now. Henry, you're the worst of them all!"
She pointed at me, her words laced with malice.
"What does she have that I don't? I've known you longer, and I'm a better fit to be your wife! It should be me and the child that you love the most!"
A look of revulsion flickered in Henry's eyes.
"Who's the real father of that child you're carrying? Did you think I was clueless? You tried to pin this kid on me and you've failed.
"I was willing to overlook this for your father's sake, but you crossed the line by messing with my wife! I'm taking back everything I've given you!"

Fear finally crept into Melanie's eyes.
"No, Henry, I realize my mistake. I shouldn't have harbored such foolish dreams. Please let me go. I'll go back to Itania and you'll never see me again!"
Henry's sneer was cold as ice.
"It's too late for regrets. You're going to pay for everything you've done."

As Melanie was led away, sobbing uncontrollably, Henry's grip on my hand was firm and reassuring.
"Selena, from now on, I won't let anyone hurt you. You want to continue studying in United Germland? I'm with you. Whatever makes you happy, that's all that matters to me."
I held onto Henry's hand, a wave of relief washing over me. We had faced tough times, but a brighter future was ours to hold.
