~Zayne~

I battled through to the front of the castle as a swarm of crowd ran against me.

Clad in dark armour, they charged toward the heart of the kingdom, weapons glinting under the sun.

I stood at the forefront, my powerful frame emanating authority and strength. My eyes narrowed as I called upon my warriors, the air filled with a deep tension as the Lycans transformed, their muscles rippling and fur bristling.

'Warriors on my mark"

We stood across the rebels in a fierce stallmate.

Either of us is waiting for the other to make the first move.

'Attack!!"

With a fierce battle cry, we surged forward, engaging the intruders with primal ferocity.

The clash of steel and the growls of Lycan warriors echoed through the night as they fought to protect the kingdom. I moved with agility and power.

'Ahhh… '

A rebel Lycan groaned in agony, my sword piercing into his flesh.

I swing my blade almost effortlessly, chopping off their heads.

'Ahh"

A bite of one of the rebels pierced into my flesh.

The pain soon spread out to my whole body, I fell down to a knee, I couldn't walk.

'There are too many rebels!!"

'We're outmatched!"

I heard the tense voices of my Lycan warriors.

'NO!"

A deep rage stirred up in me, I couldn't let them invade my kingdom.

As I knelt on the floor, my body began to swell, my clothes got ripped apart. A black fur soon covered my body.

My teeths grew sharper and longer, claws deep and incisive.

In a heartbeat I charged at the rebel wolf's, their size was relatively small compared to mine.

I tore into their bodies, ripping flesh and bones from their body and tearing their throats out.

They were no match for me as I tore them pieces.

'Ahhh…. '

I heard a female voice screaming at a distance.

It's from the castle!!!

I rushed back to the castle at once leaving my warriors to handle the rebels.

My eyes widened in shock, as I let out a huge gasp.

They were terrorising the whole castle.

During the chaos, a small group of rebel Lycan managed to escape to the castle. They executed a well-coordinated manoeuvre, slipping past the main fight and going unnoticed.

'Men!!!Come here!!"

I yelled out my voice at its peak.

In a flash, a few of my warriors raced to the castle courtyard.

'Spilt up, two take the up with me, the rest take care of them down"

I ordered as they all nodded in approval.

I quickly reached the upstairs of the castle, two of my warriors by my side.

What!!

Something is wrong here!

"My lord, no sign of any rebels here!"

One of my warrior's words reached my ears from downstairs.

We checked all the rooms upstairs, not a single one of them, we only saw families as they stayed together in fear.

'Oh No!"

I gasped when I saw my room door open.

My heart raced

'Emily!!" I screamed her name but there was no answer. I began to fear the worst.

I ran towards the room.

'Oh… Fuck!"

There was a Lycan size hole in my wall. But important of all, Emily was gone.

'No!"

'There she is"

I spotted Emily from a distance through the hole in my wall.

She was held by two rebels as they took her out of the castle.

In the blink of an eye I leaped through the hole not even bothering to think it through.

I raced after them, my steps quickening.

'Emily hold on!" I saw her terrified face, being ragdolled by the rebels.

I leaped toward them, my body in full extension. But just before I could reach her, they yanked her away, dragging her with them as they faded into shadows.

'NO!" I collapsed to the ground.

My heart dropped as he caught sight of Emily being pulled into the darkness.

My sadness and despair was soon replaced with anger. Rage ignited within me, fueling my strength.

I turned towards the remains of the rebel Lycans.

With a small growl, I raced for them.

My sharp claws with every swing, I scratch at them causing them instant death.

My canines pierced into their necks as I pulled out their throats.

And in a few moments I single handedly devoured each and every of them, sparing not a single one.

'Thorn!"

Thorn walked up to me with his familiar ugly look. He had a sick frown on his face.

I hated Thorn with an immense passion and up to me, he would have been sent away from the castle a while ago.

'Gather the men, we are going to find Emily"

'Sir are you going to risk our men just for a petty maid" Thorn said almost in disgust. 'She may already be dead by now"

His words ignited another fire in me.

'What did you just say!!"

I jacked him up by his collar, his feet leaving the base of the ground.

'I said, what did you just say!!" My grip on him strengthened.

'Nothing my Lord!"

'Good" I dropped him to the ground as he gathered his bearings.

'If you're not going with me, fine!" 'This is my battle anyways"

I turned away from him as I walked straight to the exit of the castle. Thorn couldn't care any less that I was going to fight the rebels by myself.

If anything he would be grinning from ear to ear. If I die, then the man he serves to, Luther would rule as king and he would be his head in command.

I walked up to the entrance of the forest.

Doubts began to creep into my mind.

You're going to die!

You can't defeat the whole rebel wolves and save Emily.

What if she's dead and you're just wasting your time and risking your life for nothing.

No!

I must go, Emily needs me.

And with a fierce determination, I stepped into the underbrush, my legs crushed into the dry leaves and twigs beneath my booth disturbing the silence of the forest.

I carried on as I made haste into the forest.

The forest seemed like a big maze and it was as though I was walking round in circles.

I looked up at the sky, the sun was beginning to rest as it gave way to the cold night.

A sudden cold came up in the forest. I was literally shivering to my feet.

Shadows loomed in the forest, my heart racing in fear. I was fueled by the thought of Emily. I can't lose her.

I still carried on, there was no turning back now.

As I ventured deeper and deeper into the forest, I spotted flickering fire ahead.

That must be them!

I gently walked closer to the fire.

I began hearing voices.

Laughters and boasting. I peeped at them from behind a fat tree.

What!

My eyes widened in shock, their number was frightening, sending chills down my spine.

There were more than a thousand rebel wolves.

I stood no chance if I went up against them.

Where's Emily?

I peeped again, my eyes went searching for Emily.

There she is.

She was tied up at a corner to a tree a bit distant from their gathering.

I have to sneak her out, there's no other way.

If I got spotted I would be dead in an instant, their number was too great.

'Phew!"

I took in a long deep breath before I made my move.

I will have to take the long route round them and hope they don't spot me.

I tiptoed away from the tree I hid in, as I walked round. My feet were gliding across the ground.

TWIG

'Fuck. ' I placed my feet on a twig, breaking it in two as it made a mild yet obvious noise.

My mind went blank, my body frozen to the spot.

All the rebels turned towards me, their piercing eyes staring into my soul.

'Get him!"

~Emily~

Luca warned me not to go out no matter what.

My mind was still disturbed, my body tensed as I paced around Luca's room.

I was restless.

I can't just stay put, what if Luca is in trouble.

A sudden urge built in me.

I placed my palms on the door knob ready to open it.

'NO!"

I can't, Luca says I should stay put, I have to trust him.

'Phew"

I took a deep breath as I sat on the cosy bed, my spine straightened up.

BAM!

'Ahhh!"

I yelled out in fear. A couple of large Lycans barged into Luca's room.

'Get her!"

One ordered as the other charged for me in a hurry.

He grabbed my arm, his large palms tightened against my wrist.

'You're hurting me!" I cried out in genuine pain.

He dragged me across the room to the door.

'Someone's coming!!" the other Lycan who stood at the door said in distress.

'What do we do?" they began to panic.

My cavalry has arrived!

'We jump through the window"

What! Do they want to die? These Lycans must be stupid or something.

'On my count, one, two…… three"

The two of them charged straight for the wall.

Their body at full force crashed against the wall causing a crack in the hell and eventually a large hole.

They fell off from the top of the castle. Lucky for me, they landed on their feet and broke my fall as I was still stuck in their hold.

'Move now!"

Battered and bruised they managed to run out of the courtyard as they headed for the exit.

Luca!

A figure raced for the two Lycans who were trying to kidnap me.

Luca's speed was unmatched as he glided across the ground, his movement seems effortless.

Surely he was going to catch up.

Luca leaped off the ground, his outstretched hand reaching for me, but just as I thought he would reach me. A sudden pull swayed me forward into thick darkness.

What!

I suddenly found myself surrounded by trees.

How am I here?

'Tie her up, she's the one we need" a terrifying voice behind me reached my ears.

I was amazed as I turned to see thousands of rebel Lycans.

Their gathering seemed more than even that of a kingdom.

A Lycan grabbed my arm, his grip tight.

He took me to a lean tree by the corner of their gathering and tied me to it.

I was a sitting duck. I have to find a way to escape.

It was an uneasy wait for me, what seemed like a sunny day had soon turned to the darkness of night.

I must escape this.

Yes! I have an idea. I spotted a small and sharp branch on the tree, I was sure if I wiggled the rope around it, it was sure to cut me free.

I vigorously shook the rope by the branch as the rope became weaker.

'Get him!" I heard the thunderous voice of the Lycans making my heart skip a bit.

Luca!

I looked in the direction of the figure, it was Luca.

He came for me! But he's alone, oh no.

My warmth feeling was soon replaced with worry.

They two Luca by either side of his arm. Luca fought the pack, I watched as he shifted in a Lycan and bit the head of the two Lycans who held him.

He fought them back, definitely, but their number was too great.

This was my chance, I shook the rope, as it got and u till it broke.

'Yes"

I said my tone was very mellow and light.

What should I do?

They swarmed all over Luca. They pinned his body to the ground.

'Today we kill the Lycan king!"

One of the rebels said in satisfaction.

'Argghh" Luca moaned in pain, some of the rebels bit at him, some swung their claws to his chest.

Luca is going to die.

No!
