'Is everything alright?"

Charlotte posed a question while removing her quilt.

'Pack your bags, Charlotte. My dream summer wedding, it's happening!"

Her face was dazzling with happiness like full of life, joy and spring. Charlotte was on cloud nine.

'You lucky girl! How it turned out like this?"

It was Ava's biggest fantasy to have a beach themed

Wedding Ceremony. Her wish list, scrapbook and even review book was filled with pics and arrangements of the Ceremony. Everything was planned from the venue to the dress, only groom was missing.

Ava was like a howling beast that keeps one awake at night, speaking loudly,

'Allen won the competition of hand to hand combat in Academy. As a reward, his trainer approved his leave application. Ceremony is on Saturday."

'What! This Saturday?"

Charlotte was stupefied with this urgency but it was reasonable.

'He is at home for a week then I will move with him. I have signed up for the warrior's training."

Well, it was something brand new for Star as criteria for females was quite strict. Ava must have worked hard for this spot.

'Double congratulations, Ava! It's the best case scenario. You both can stay together like this."

One hour detailed discussion ended with several promises. Charlotte ordered her dress too but the date on the calendar reminded her the most important day of her life, her birthday.

17th July was Ava's wedding and the next day was her 100th birthday, official first day as an adult; the one eligible to be mated and marked, registered in the record as a single lady.

Her enthusiasm vanished in thin air, she sat down, clutching her knees to her chest. Just now she was about to be settled in a healthy relationship and suddenly, everything turned into ashes.

An unknown fear creped up, a vivid picture of her beloved marking her churned her stomach. The one of her kind, probably a warrior like Ava's soulmate, waiting for her over a decade.

The picture that painted in her mind was full with colorful emotions of love and innocent expectations but emptiness of her heart was unable to liven up those imaginations.

'What she did to her fated mate?"

This question along with haunted memories of the previous intimate relationship startled her. She was supposed to wait for him, not to mention staying loyal to him.

Considering herself a non-worthy to wear her beloved's mark, Charlotte was contemplating over the possible disappointment in his eyes. That's when a strong determined voice emerged from the memory buried deep in the graveyard of her heart.

'You are mine! No one can mark you except me. Stop thinking about that rascal, I will kill him."

Charlotte burst out in a fit of laughter, tears streaming down her cheeks.

'I was such a fool to believe this nonsense."

Drowned in self pity, she fell asleep. She found herself in the deep forest, Crescent Moon was glittering in the sky. Woods were unfamiliar for her, so she hastened towards the flickering light as a proof that someone was staying there. Just then crunching hit her ears crashing through the rampant, thudding in her heart,

Someone was following her!

This unease slithered down her spine, fastening her pace. The more she ran away, the lesser was the distance between them. She felt hot breath on her neck with sharp teeth plunging in and screamed out.

'Star, wake up! It's just a night mare. Wake up!"

Charlotte blinked her eyes repeatedly to adjust with the brightness in her room. Angie was shaking her to regain consciousness. She touched her neck which was unharmed but the pain of that bite was still agonizing. Her heart sank with the realization but she jerked away all the feelings naming it a flash back of her distant memory.

'I was scared in my dream, Don't panic."

She comforted Angie whose heart was racing at 100 miles/ minute.

'Are you really ok? Oh Gosh! Your shriek was so agonizing and helpless. I shouldn't have left you alone."

Angie was attending three days volunteer service workshop for the orphanage where she grew up in. Charlotte smiled to convince her and started making her bed.

'It's not your fault, Angie. How was your trip? You were supposed to come back at Saturday."

'Everything is going great. Actually, accounts section needs my services, so I came back to take back my lappy."

'Cool! I am also going out for a week as my cousin is getting married."

Charlotte explained her the summary of her sudden visit. After she left, Charlotte packed her bags and went to her Mansion to manage the workload in her absence. She was taking this as a four days trip with two days for traveling, instructing them to continue with her monthly plan.

As Daniel was already leaving for New York, she didn't inform him about her trip as he will demand the pictures of that event. It will be difficult to hide things from his scanning eyes.

Everything was set. She boarded a commercial flight to England, her homeland. There was a cocktail of emotions making her intoxicate with the reminiscing of bitter sweet moments and her father, whom she didn't visit for the last nine years.

'Ten points for my filial pity. I am sorry dad, I hope you are watching your daughter's achievements from the Heaven."

In her owy city, Charlotte was still unknown, a common girl with out the title of Madam or Boss. It felt so liberating to feel the bounty of freedom.

She ordered a cab and the sun was rising in the East when she finally reached the Vampire Kingdom.

Security officials refused to recognize her as her old ID was rejected due to the visible difference in her appearance. Finger prints match finally convinced them and they opened the gates for her.

Unexpectedly, Uncle Tadd was waiting for her at the border.

'Welcome home, Princess!"

Despite of all the preparations for the Ceremony, he managed to receive her in person. Charlotte was touched by his sweet gesture of care. Her heart was brimming with the warmth of their pure honest affection…
