Resting whole day in the comfortable bed replenished her energy, Charlotte felt lightened like a leaf after a warm bath.

Sun was setting in the west when she finally left her safe spot. Pack house was bustling with hungry wolves waiting for the dinner, she smiled at their happy chatters.

Relationship between Pack members was like bonds of families, the thing which captivated Charlotte from the start.

'Alpha is calling you in the office."

Ignoring Amy's humble request, she sauntered towards the basement. It was almost time, she had to check Liam's preparations for her sired vampires.

To her surprise, basement was empty, only chained Jason was crying in the corner.

'What's going on here?"

Her ever sweet voice turned into an erupted volcano. Jason tried to get up but chains glued him to his place.

'Master!"

He knelt down with great difficulty.

'I was so excited to start a new life but Gamma Markian didn't let me go. Sir Liam interceded for me but he is too strong, he even punched him on his face."

That was unacceptable for Charlotte, as the attack on sire was considered a threat to the Master in the Vampire community.

She freed Jason and took him to the main hall. Breathless with anger, she summoned that offender.

'Where is that Gamma who dared to challenge me? I am here, come out and face me."

Her icy tone quientened down the lively crowd, even Markian's spoon picking hand was stilled with the impact of ferocity.

'Markian is not a fool to provoke his Luna."

He bared his neck in submission.

'Then why my sire was kept against his wishes?"

Markian: 'He tried to bit me."

Jason: 'He called me a leech."

Markian: 'He called me a dog."

Jason: 'He bullied me."

Markian: 'He wasn't working."

Jason: 'He deliberately gave me hard work."

'Enough!"

Eric's roar resonated in the whole dining hall.

'Why this sired one is here, Mathew? Didn't I instruct you clearly?"

Eric Alpha's tone forced the amused audience in submission, they all bowed, baring their necks.

'Construction at the East of Pack needs extra hands for kid's school. Half of the warriors went to the annual training in Capital leaving all the work to the omegas.

Sir Liam volunteered for this cause and I stopped Jason for his help."

'Good!"

Eric approved Gamma Mathew's suggestion.

'Liam will be back in an hour, you can decide rest of the things."

Mathew's victorious grin infuriated Jason, but he only huffed in annoyance. Living as a sired vampire hadn't tamed him to perfection but he was aware of the fact that a fish couldn't stay on bad terms with crocodiles and alligators.

With a speck of hope, Jason glanced at Charlotte. Before she could say anything, Eric picked her up and in a flash, they were in his room.

'Didn't you get my message, little one?"

His exasperated gaze was fixed on her.

'I heard and chose to ignore it."

Charlotte casually dismissed his complain.

'Two days, your this attitude will last till two days. Then I will deal with you in person."

Eric's meaningful tone alerted her, Charlotte inquired for further elaborations. Eric brought out an envelope from the cupboard for her.

'This, This is barbaric. I don't agree with this."

After reading the announcement of fight, Charlotte was really affronted.

'This is my life, not a piece of land where you people can decide things over physical strength."

Blazing fury took over her mind, she hissed at Eric who was now sipping his drink relaxly.

'It's not even a dispute, little one. I just had to snap that rascal's neck. He is the only hindrance in our blessed union….."

'Oh, now you think of me as a blessing!"

Charlotte scoffed, glaring at his peaceful countenance.

'May be this whole mate-bond thing has changed your mind but not mine.

From the moment I saw your real face, your arrogance, conceit, your selfish disdain made me realize that you were the last man in this world I could ever be prevailed upon to marry."

'Little one!"

Eric's clear disbelief was evident in his voice as he beheld the sight before him. He was the one washed away by the rain of Charlotte's emotions of rejection and hatred.

Rick was whining in his mind, he felt like he was stabbed forcefully with a blunt knife.

'Don't hate me, Charlotte. It hurts."

Eric grabbed her shoulder firmly.

'You can't just hate me without listening to my side of story. Just an eavesdrop can not destroy the love between us."

'I don't need your lies. Sod off, Alpha Eric Dietor. Your game is over!"

Charlotte jerked off his hold, pushing him away.

'This stupid mate-bond forced me to stay here. When I am certain about my decision then why should I consider Alpha King's opinion?"

Although Charlotte's strength was nothing as compared to Alpha Eric but still, he couldn't keep his balance.

He came to the ground with a thud, his struggle to get up was visible enough but Charlotte chose to ignore it.

She cleared her throat, preparing herself for the consequences of her decision.

'I, Charlotte William, only daughter of Carl William, rejects you…."

'No!"

Eric's shriek coerced her to notice his agony, which was definitely not a result of incomplete rejection.

'Eric!"

Charlotte crouched beside him and placed her hand over his heart.

'What's happening to you, tell me?"

But Eric's senses were crammed by the unbearable agony. The lingering ached gnawed at him, causing him to scream again.

Using all her strength, Charlotte picked him up and ran towards the Pack hospital. Procession of questioning werewolves was following him but her mind was fixed on Eric's worsening condition.

She found the head doctor at the front door, waiting with a care bed.

'Eric! He was fine a moment ago. Please help him."

She hardly formed a sentence in panic as doctor was pressing her for details.

'Alpha's lips and nails are blue, he is poisoned."

.

'But Eric didn't have lunch or breakfast today."

Luna also joined the distraught crowd, tears streaming down her eyes. Then it flashed in Charlotte's mind.

'The bottle of whiskey in his room! Alpha was drinking before this."

Listening it, Gamma Mathew took a quick action.

'Seal the Pack house. Collect the bottle and glass from Alpha's room and investigate all omegas. No one should be missed."

He dashed out to the Pack border, alerting all the warriors and patrol teams as this could be the start of an announced battle.

Away from all the hustle, Rory found a secluded place and called someone from her mobile phone.

'Mission accomplished, Master!"

'Good!"

A menacing cold laughter praised her efforts.

'Drink the potion that I gave you, you will become a day walker."

'Thank you, Master. I was tired of that sicko Liam."

She disconnected the call and drank that small green vial, cackling at her stealth actions.
