It was 1:00 pm in the afternoon when Casper reached the Silver Moon Pack's Border with security protocol. King Bahman tried his best to stop him and when all his efforts got failed, he followed him to the Pack.
His mind was still stuck in the morning meeting with Alpha King Alexander Maximus.
'Alpha Eric Dietor has so many enemies in his own community. Why am I the only being interrogated?"
King Bahman's vexation was evident on his pale face, his protruding eyes were fixed on sixty five inches screen.
In the grand Conference room, he was talking to Alpha King on video call.
"A spy was caught in the Silver Moon Pack. And surprisingly, it was a sired vampire. Do you need any other reason?"
King Alexander's Alpha tone shocked him, sending a sire to spy was a something he would never do.
'Sired vampires can be bribed to slander Royals. Their rebel has caused inconvenience in the past."
King Bahman instantly came up with an excuse, although his reasoning didn't satisfying Alpha Alexander. He was scrolling through the CCTV footage of the Royal Palace, checking King Bahman's daily activities.
Then he received an email regarding phone call details.
'You are quite intelligent to record every moment in your Castle. I am impressed."
Alpha King's professional smile had a slight hint of disappointment, he was angry at losing such a good chance to execute the Vampire King.
'It's the time of chaos, Alpha Alexander. You can't even trust on your shadow."
He adjusted his robes and wiped out the beads of sweat from his forehead.
'I have sent a request about fight cancelation. What do you think about it?"
'Your document was incomplete, Bahman. Your son's rejection letter was missing."
'Is there any other way?"
Alpha Alexander's heart softened at King Bahman's worry.
'Young generation is quite feral, Bahman. Your conservative approach will cause more damage than good.
Casper is a grown man, let him face his destiny."
.
Sitting in a separate Mercedes Benz, he was waiting for the green signal from the Border guards.
'Living with caution" was the motto of King Bahman's life and reason of his survival too but Casper's stubbornness was out of his hands.
As a father and a King, he was in tight spot, torn between the responsibilities of family and the Kingdom.
His trail of thoughts was broken by 'the Signal": Elijah Morgan gracefully stepped out of the main gate.
'There!"
Royal vampires chased the scent of that supersonic Lycan to the clearing between two Kingdoms' borders. By cutting some trees, a huge ground was prepared for the battle between Alpha Eric Dietor and the Crown Prince Casper Adino.
Weather was sunny from the morning but all of a sudden, clouds covered the whole sky, pleasant breeze refreshed the surroundings. This cloud cover provided a chance to the sired ones to witness this moment. Jason and Ben were standing together, exchanging pleasantries.
'You have no connection with this leech. Go back!"
Mathew growled at Jason who rolled his eyes at him.
'I am here to support my sire. It's her special day. Even Goddess has made it possible for me to stay here, why are you bothering me?
Didn't this whole tree cutting labor satisfy you? Leave me alone."
Jason's rant was going on when Charlotte interfered.
'Don't bully him, Mathew. Let him take some rest."
Her soft supportive tone backed up Jason, he made face at Mathew to announce his victory.
As Casper was busy in all the official signing things, Ben brought out horrified Rick out of the security car's trunk.
'This is a gift of my sire. He wishes that both of you could enjoy him together."
Charlotte looked at pitiful Rick whose body was thin as stick. His red healthy face was dull and pale as if he was suffering from deadly disease. His condition was drastically changed with in a few days.
'Can you do me a favor, Liam?"
Over attentive Liam came in front of his sire, bowing his head in respect.
'Order me, Sire."
'Please send him back to his home in person. Rick is just a spoilt brat, who has lost his way in bad company. This world is not good for him."
Rick literally cried out at her sympathy.
'You are so generous, Star. I am really sorry. I was so wrong to hurt you."
Charlotte smiled and placed her hand on his eyes.
'Rick Lawrence, you are a nice man who will spend his entire life advocating for good and equality. You were kidnapped by the human traffickers but you survived as police raided at criminal's hide out.
You have never seen any vampire in your life nor you went to supernatural world ever. You are free to go."
Eric and Casper both witnessed her compassion and kindness. Rick growled at the captive,
'I don't like that rascal. He has my name, kill him."
Despite of all the tension, Eric was amused at his wolf's anxiety about sharing the same name with a bully.
'You are better than that college boy, Rick. Grow up."
Rick scowled and turned his face away from him. His mood only got better when Charlotte's scent was in close proximity with him.
'As all of you are here, I will state the rules. It will be a hand to hand combat. Use of any kind of weapon and magic is strictly prohibited.
Fighting time is five minutes, winner will be announced shortly after that."
Elijah Morgan stated the procedure with stern face, eyeing them to start.
Charlotte, Luna, Vampire King and other officials stood together outside the ring, several guards were appointed for their security. At some distance, only invited commoners were ready to witness the live action.
Eric and Casper circled each other, Casper grinning at Eric's pale countenance. Suddenly, he leapt forward, charging at his opponent. Fully prepared, Eric dodged the punch aimed at his jaw but a kick in his stomach forced him to wince.
In retaliation, his wolf responded immediately and scratched Casper's torso.
'Weak!"
He struck Eric's shoulder with a hard fist and ducked his claw using his supernatural speed. Casper's other punch glanced Eric's chin.
Alpha was seconds late to notice that it was a feint, though, the second punch doubled him over and expelled a mouthful of blood from his toned stomach.
Eric stumbled back with wide eyes, then smiled.
'It was heck of a shot. I love it."
He cleaned the corner of his mouth with determination. Fortunately, Alpha was used to all of it. As a veteran of one-on-one fights in countless Packs, even being out of air was something he knew how to deal with.
He stood straight, eyes bulging with concealed rage were fixed on Casper. His rival's red eyes were adorned with mockery, he was standing tall with his over confidence.
Eric had him where he always wanted him. But his next strategy was halted by an uninvited rainstorm. Water was pouring down like fire brigades had fixed their pipes there.
'Carry on! Only three minutes are left now."
Elijah shouted in the noise of storm and thunder. They both gazed at Charlotte, the prize, and charged at each other with renewed enthusiasm.
Their blows and speed were synchronized with the intensity of down pour, it was hard to figure out who was at winning side.
Soon enough, a hard muscular body landed on the ground with a loud thud, painting the rain water red with his blood.
'Eric!"
A panicked whisper left from Charlotte's mouth involuntarily...
