Charlotte and Liam looked at each other and sprinted towards the Pack entrance, urgency to see the live action overpowered their minds.
The sun was rising in the East and several wolves were gathered in the town square. They stopped there and inquired an omega.
'What's the matter?"
'It's Beta Noah."
He pointed at the direction where he left a moment ago. Following his lead, they found a messed up man kneeling on the floor.
'Mate!"
Noah's swollen eyes and worn out condition was quite concerning for her, but none of the Pack members was showing any sympathy towards him.
Charlotte stepped forward to ask about the situation but Liam grabbed her arm.
'Look!"
Luna Lily came out of the Pack house, her soft caring face was ashen with acrimony.
'Why are you here, Beta Noah? Go to work."
Her stern command caught him off guard, he clasped his hands and begged.
'Let me see my mate. I, I can't breathe."
'Angie!"
Charlotte's heart sank as a realization hit her hard.
'Noah's condition and his crying for Angie, that means."
Charlotte flashed across the crowd and climbed the stairs to meet Angie in the guest room.
'No!"
Charlotte placed her hand on Angie's chest to check her heart beat. Connected to multiple monitors, Angie's heartbeat was crashing.
'Charlotte! Save her."
Finding herself in the same condition, Charlotte donated her venom and prayed for a miracle.
'I don't want another sired friend. Please Goddess, save her."
Placing her hopes on the healing abilities of her blood, Charlotte glued her eyes on the beeping monitors.

Over the course of three minutes, Angie's heart beat was back on 70. Doctor Mike sighed in relief.
'This human girl is very strong. She endured her mate's cheating bravely. No wonder, she was chosen by the Moon Goddess."
'Cheating?"
Liam turned and dragged Noah inside, ignoring Luna Lily's reservations.
'See, what you have done, idiot? Are you happy that your soulmate is dying?"
Grabbing his collar, Liam roared in fury. Despite being a Beta and a strong wolf, Noah was helpless before Liam's inhumane strength.
'You don't deserve to live, Noah."
He punched on Noah's face, a fountain of blood splattered on his shirt. Unfazed by this tempting liquid, Liam kicked Noah in his ribs, breaking them for sure.
'Noah!"
Angie shrieked and woke up instantly. She reached out her arms for Noah, Liam spat on the floor and let him go.
'Mate!"
He wrapped his arms around her shoulders. Angie's hanging arms held him, her puffy eyes moistened at the pain in his voice.
'I didn't want to hurt you, mate. I am sorry."
Tears, cries and entangled emotions were flowing through their eternal bond, having their own language of silence.
Lost in the harmony of affection, they stayed in each other's embrace, inhaling their scents to calm down their yearning souls.
'It's not your fault, Noah. I deserved it."
Considering it as her mistake, Angie tried to cheer him up. Noah looked at her in bewilderment.
'I was an orphan, an outcast in the college, trying desperately to blend in. I used every method to please everyone, falling into the pit of endless darkness.
My past can just bring shame to your name. I am sorry. You wasted your love and time on me."
Putting his hands around her face, Noah hushed her.
'No, Angie. I was wrong to judge you. You could simply lie to me about it, but still, you chose to keep no secrets in our relationship.
I was the one to ask you about your life and couldn't accept the reality. You are good as you are."
Charlotte, Luna and Liam left that room to provide them some privacy but Noah came out right after them.
'We are going home!"
Picking her up in bridal style, Noah's face was glimmering with happiness.
'Take care, Angie. I will visit you, soon."
Luna Lily blessed them, agitated audience witnessed their patch-up and celebrated their reunion.
…
The day was officially started with a good note, delighted Gamma Mathew regulated the Pack warriors and changed their duties during breakfast.
Gloominess over the whole Pack was washed over by the love and compassion, he got up with a blessed heart and stepped out of the Pack house leisurely.
'That's how Noah asked for forgiveness from Angie."
He got alerted at this murmur, as Luna Lily strictly forbidden them from gossiping about the matter. Following the whispers, he caught omega Orion and Jason red-handed, his head blew out.
'Why are you not at work, Orion? Go to the kitchen, your punishment is waiting for you."
Orion's pitiful gaze fell at Jason, he mouthed 'sorry" and ran away, leaving him on Mathew's mercy.
'I…"
Jason's words got struck in his throat as Mathew threw him over his shoulder and bolted towards the basement of the Pack house. After securing him in the darkness of a window-less room, Mathew burst out.
'Who do you think you are? The sun had risen and you were standing there carelessly. What's your problem? Why are you so persistent to die?"
Jason placed his hand on his racing heart and looked at Mathew, whose face was dark with fury.
'I can survive under the shades during daytime. It's normal. You are fretting over nothing."
Jason brushed off his concern casually. Mathew reached out his right arm and grabbed Jason's wrist, twisting it at his back.
'I was embarrassed before Luna just because of you. Then you were risking your life for this useless talk.
Why do you want to prove that I am not good for the post of Gamma?"
Jason wriggled to break free, but Mathew kept him in place.
'I was just talking to my friend, why are you taking it personally?"
Jason screamed as a 'crack" was followed by the crushing of his wrist.
'What kind of friend he is?"
Mathew's gruff voice was the symphony of malevolence, he pressed Jason's broken arm and jerked him.
Accustomed to every kind of torture in his sired life, Jason was wandering that why a mere bone breaking was hurting like Hell?
A shriek escaped from his mouth as he felt Mathew's extended canines grazing over his bare neck.
'I love to gossip, please don't kill me for that. Orion is the only person who informs me about the Pack's latest news. I didn't feed on him."
Jason's heart thumped at the thought that Gamma Mathew was going to convict him for attacking a Pack member.
'Werewolf blood is bitter for sired ones, have some mercy."
His crying and wailing finally knocked some sense in Mathew's dense brain, he kicked Jason on the ground.
'If I catch you doing anything other than work, there won't be any next time."
Mathew roared and left after ordering him. Lying flat on the floor, Jason took a deep breath on dodging the bullet and checked his arm.
'Why am I not healing?"
…
Charlotte's curious eyes followed Gamma Mathew to the basement, heard their conversation and right now, she was waiting for him in the Gamma's office with a sly grin.
Her mind was racing at the speed of thousand miles per hour, lessons of calming down in her elementary school were on repeat.
'Take deep breaths, it helps."
She was noticing harmless bullying of Mathew for quite some time but torture on her sire was unacceptable.
There was an inhumane glint in her blood-red eyes, her pointed nails ready to dig in Gamma's neck.
Charlotte was getting impatient with vengeance and at last, he came in.
'Luna, you are here? You could have called me for my services."
Sitting on the revolving chair of the office, Charlotte heard his submissive voice from behind.
'To hell with your courtesy."
She muttered under her breath and inhaled deeply, filling her lungs with the scent of her next kill…
