King Casper's seemingly harmless demand destroyed Alpha Eric's mood, he glared at his calm countenance.

'Why?"


'Why not? It's a good thing to catch up with the friends."

Charlotte stretched out her hand, which Casper grabbed gently with his white fangs on display.

'Obviously, it will be rude to leave without a cup of tea."


'Tea? Really?"

Charlotte punched his shoulder playfully; he giggled like a child.


'What can I expect in a Werewolf Pack? I don't fancy animal's blood."

He sneered; his hidden mockery added fuel to the fire.

'Oh, yes! Your taste buds are Royal, just like you."

They chatted for a length of time; Alpha Sophia went to say hello to the Luna Lily. Eric sat outside to keep a check on them.

'Alpha King is not satisfied with the King Casper's sudden interest in the peace talk, observe his every move closely."

'He only wants to stay in touch with our Luna. He means no good."

After reading Alpha King's secret message, Rick sneered at Casper, who was deliberately cracking jokes to amuse Charlotte.

'Time out!"

Eric's patience ran out after fifteen minutes, he knocked at the door and showed him the way out.

'You should pay attention to your rising body temperature, Star. It's alarming."

Charlotte rubbed her temple; she wasn't expecting that Casper would raise this matter before Alpha.

'Don't be so nosy, Your Majesty."

He smiled and leaned in.

'Someone has told me that I am quite meddlesome, but this is beyond my control. It's my duty to ensure my subject's well-being. See you soon."

He left after the long list of precautions for a healthy lifestyle as a vampire, as he was certain that Charlotte was forgetting her vampirism.

As soon as they left, Eric grasped Charlotte's arm and took her to their room.

'What was that, little one?"

He clenched his jaw as his fury sprang to life, his handsome face was as black as thunder.

'Why were you so frank with that bastard?"

Charlotte loosened her hair and removed that shawl like scarf from her neck.

'Are you out of your mind? It's thirty-three degrees outside. I almost suffocated in this outfit, and you are still angry. Good! I feel sorry for you."

As an instant regret washed over him, he changed his query.

'What is the rise in temperature? Why was that bastard highlighting it?"

He placed his hand at Charlotte's face to check her body temperature.

'It's same as before."

She shook her head at Eric's quick, expert examination.

'Ignorance is bliss, Alpha. Don't bother it. Tell me, why Alpha Sophia is still wandering in the Pack?"

'Good point!"

Eric's attention was then easily diverted towards that heavenly beauty, who was as breathtaking as before.

'My Dad killed my husband last year."

Eric overheard Sophia and his mother's conversation about the past years.

'Life of a widow is very hard; how do you manage it, dear?"

Lily remembered her time, pity flooded in her heart.

'My life ended the day Alpha died before my eyes. I am just alive just for my son. He is too young for this brutality."

Eric fumed at her successful attempt to gain favor from his mother, as she offered her.

'Stay here for some days. Your son will be happy here."

'We should not stop her, Mom. She must have work in her Pack."

Eric's feeble try went straight to failure, as Sophia pressed Lily's arm.

'I feel understood after such a long time. I would love to spend some time with you, Luna."

Just like that, a room was prepared for her on an urgent basis. Moreover, Lily ordered Eric to take Sophia's kid, Johnny, a five year old boy for shopping.

'By some toys for Johnny, Eric."

Eric couldn't say 'No" to that little package of cuteness and left without informing Charlotte, who was waiting for some news.

'I am a fool to think that Alpha is getting back on the track."

She made a messy bun of her hair and came out of the room in the same dress, her stomach was yearning for some solid food.

The coffee diet was not an ideal diet for a young vampire, she felt dizzy due to her fasting.

'Prepare some snacks for my son and don't forget to serve ketchup with them."

Charlotte's hand got stilled at Sophia's firm tone. She closed the fridge and turned slowly.

'Yes?"

Sophia acted like she was mistaken.

'Oh, it's you, Charlotte. I thought there was some maid in the kitchen. Johnny loves fries, so I was searching for a cook to prepare it for him. He will be happy to see his favorite snacks after shopping with Alpha."

She opened a blood bag and took one sip, Sophia covered her nose at the stench of blood. Charlotte's lips curled up in a smirk.

'Call Eric, he will take Johnny to McDonald too. He has soft spots for orphans, like he just allowed an orphan human girl in the Pack today."

She emptied that bag and threw it in the trash can.

'Feel free to stay here. Guests are entertained well in my Pack, Alpha Sophia."

Charlotte grabbed an apple from the basket and sauntered towards her room. Sophia balled her fists, her face reddened because of this insult.

'You are flashing your mate-bond, bitch. I will show you who is the real Alpha soon."

She huffed and gave the last touches to her agenda.

As Liam was eating her brain nonstop, Charlotte finally asked him.

'Are you sure that you don't have work?"

'Yes, I am free."

Liam leaned against the couch and relaxed.

'This is not fair, Charlotte. You have locked yourself in the room, whereas Sophia is instructing everyone like Luna."

'What about you and Amy, Liam?"

In response to his complaint, she bombarded him with this question out of blue.

'Just friends."

He got serious at once, but a reminder of his mission tuned his mind back to the blame game.

'You have time to listen the rumors, not me. You are unreasonable here, Sire."

She nodded and replied without removing her eyes from the laptop screen.

'I have learned that ruining your inner peace just because of a temporary disturbance is not a wise action. Sophia is a guest, she will leave in a day or two. Why should I waste my energy on her?"

'This is wrong, it's your Pack..."

Liam had a long list of reasons to support his notion, Charlotte raised her hand.

'Go and spy on Alpha and Sophia's meeting. You will tail Sophia until her exit from the Pack."

Her stern master command alerted him, he rushed outside.

'You are so cruel, Sire."

He didn't forget to register his complaint before leaving.

Liam's ears perked up at this, he brought out his cellphone to record the video. But to his dismay, Eric got up and closed the door on his face.

He bit his tongue to stop the forbidden curse words, and used the alternative method of spying. He climbed the water pipe and grasped the grills of the window.

'Your request of alliance is not acceptable to me, Alpha Sophia. I am astonished that why everyone is so worried about my kids. In fact, I am looking forward to a hybrid child.

Additional gift of vampire powers would be great for my Alpha genes."

Liam immediately texted his Sire with one hand.

'Sophia is asking for Luna position again."

His extraordinary eyesight sighted the main clause of the contract, that was lying on the table as,

'Alpha Sophia will give up her Pack for Alpha Eric's Luna position."

'Be quick, Sire. Your house is being robbed by Sophia again."

'Come back. I will deal with it in person."

Charlotte's written order ended the haze of master's command. Liam stayed there out of curiosity.

'I was not expecting that you would reject my proposal, Alpha. It's OK. Let's have a drink for our failed alliance."

She poured whiskey in two glasses and slipped a tablet to Alpha's glass when he was not looking. Her poisonous smile raised a suspicion in Liam's heart.
