With the matters regarding the dead warriors attended by Lily, daily life in the Silver Moon Pack came back to normal after the three days of mourning.

The horrible effects of the combat left deep traces on the Pack members' hearts, but the weight of responsibilities put the routine back on the track.

'I have compensated the dead warriors' families. Go to visit soldiers in Pack's hospital. They will feel happy to see their Alpha among them."

Eric listened to his mother's command intently and went to see Charlotte first, she was recovering fast in the healthy atmosphere of her home.

'I want to go with you."

Charlotte tried to convince him, but he didn't want to lose the progress of the previous days.

'Just a few days more, little one. Then you will take over all the responsibilities of my Luna."

The head warrior Julian came to her room shortly after Alpha left. His distraught face was the same as all other warriors.

'This is the letter Sir Liam left for you."

He presented her with a white envelope after bowing his head in submission, his golden eyes had a flicker of inhumanity glimmering in them.

'How is everyone at your home, Julian?"

To have a better relationship with her Pack fellows, Charlotte initiated the conversation with the most murderous looking warrior of the Pack. It was famous that Julian had a heart of rock like Alpha Eric, people considered him the true descendant of the Silver Moon Pack.

'I have no family."

A detached smile appeared on his face, as unwelcoming as a winter storm. His indifferent demeanor exudes the aura of extreme frostiness, making the room feel colder. Maybe it was just Charlotte's thinking or something else that she saw a visible change in Ramla's expressions, her rosy face lost all the colors at Julian's reply.

She realized her mistake, as Alpha had told her that Julian was an orphan fostered by Madam Lily. Eric saved him from an inhumane slave dungeon, this was also the reason behind the ban of vampire's pet market. Charlotte raced her mind and apologized quickly.

'I am sorry, Julian. But the Silver Moon Pack is your home, and all the Pack members are your family. You belong to us. So, tell me, how is everyone at home?"

His Luna's affectionate voice made him feel at home, his heartfelt glee was displayed by his genuine emotions.

'Alpha has ordered the healing soldiers to discharge them, my brothers are fine now. For children, Beta Noah has arranged a carnival, so that the fright of the bloodbath can be removed from their tiny, innocent minds.

Gamma Mathew and Jason are staying at Sir Liam's cabin, Amy has tried to commit suicide more than once."

His detailed news bulletin reminded her of Liam, who was always impatient to know and tell her the latest news of the Pack.

'What about the little boy Orion? How is he?"

Charlotte nodded her head with satisfaction and tore the seal, that envelope was glued like it was the topmost secret.

'Orion is the new head of omegas. He was fussing about his duty in the beginning, but now he is fine. Madam Lily has increased his monthly salary."

Charlotte noticed Julian's relaxed face and strands of humanity in his green eyes, she decided to cherish this rare event.

'On your way back, buy a bouquet of white lilies and place it on Liam's grave on my behalf. I will visit him soon."

Julian's chest puffed with pride as he was the first one to receive an order from his Luna.

'As you command, Luna."

He bared his neck, pledging his loyalty and then left, Charlotte paid full attention to understand the handwriting of the flying dragons.

'This is Liam, Sire. I was busy at war today, so I didn't get a chance to call you about the daily routine.

Well, anything new in addition to the attack didn't happen today. So, it shouldn't be a problem. Seriously, this battle is lit. I killed two growling wolves with my bare hands today. Can you believe it? Oh gosh, I am still not believing it."

Then on the next page, the date of his unfortunate death was mentioned in the start.

'Finally, this bloodbath ended yesterday. Eric has told me about the marking and oh my goodness, I am so happy for you. Despite the losses in the war, Eric is over the moon, all warriors are gossiping that Alpha has gone crazy.

As we are both happily married now, we have roughly planned double dates and joined vacation. It's going to be so much fun. Recover quickly and came back soon. I am waiting for you."

A gush of tears broke the bound of her eyes and streamed down her cheeks, wetting the paper with it. Charlotte's painful sobs made the air heavy with grief, she kissed that letter softly.

'I am here, Liam. But you left without telling me. Bad, sire. You should be punished for disobedience."

It killed her to think that Liam didn't live to get the reply to this letter, it was the last conversation they could ever have with each other.

Sensing her heartache from afar, Eric rushed back to the Pack house. Ramla went to her room to give them some privacy.

'This, this was written by Liam, Eric. He said he was waiting for me."

Charlotte wrapped her arms around him and placed her head on his chest, desperate to find some relief from this pain.

'I was in the Pack, little one. We met in the morning before listing. He didn't even say goodbye to me. What kind of friend am I? Why did I send him to check the battleground, this is my fault."

The pang of guilt was keeping him awake for days, that mighty Alpha was defeated in front of Heaven's will.

….

Back in her room, Ramla closed all the doors and windows, and rearranged the furniture, clearing the space to draw a circle with salt on the floor. The hurry in her actions suggested desperation, like she was dying to perform that spell. She took twelve candles, lit eleven of them, arranged them around the circle and sat inside it.

'I have been performing the magic for over a century. It cannot go wrong."

Although Ramla had seen one hundred and fifty summers in her life, her magic kept her young. She looked like a girl in her early twenties from her appearance.

She summoned her grimoire to avoid any mistake. Pricking her finger with a small blade, Ramla closed her eyes for a moment to chant the spell, then placed her finger over the twelfth candle. It caught fire immediately.

'It's a success, it's a success, mother. Your blessings have finally shown me this day."
