'I never get enough of him."
Swaying in the wild wind of emotions, Alpha Eric was on the moon. He never imagined that Charlotte would express her love in public, stating him as the best man in the world.
'Mate loves us."
...
The evening tea was the happy gathering, Ava cracked jokes about their union and weird pairing.
'We made a bet that Charlotte will be back in two days, as werewolves couldn't digest our presence. But fate had other plans for her."
Aunt gave Eric congratulatory money and blessed him repeatedly,
'The Goddess Sanguis didn't bless us with a son, but now, we have two sons. I am happy that our younger son is the same as we imagined."
Then Charlotte took him to the cemetery, Eric asked her.
'You said that your parents are in one grave, then why it just says Carl Williams?"
Charlotte placed the bouquet and held his hand.
'My Mom was the Royal, that's why their couple was not accepted. She was burnt to death in front of my dad. In fact, her ashes are buried here."
Eric pulled her closer and clenched his mate to his chest.
'Who did this? I will uphold justice for your mom."
'Relax!"
She patted his shoulder, as her face was getting blue due to lack of oxygen.
'All of them are dead. In fact, you killed one of them."
'Adino brothers?"
Eric spat on the ground in disgust, his rage was touching its limits.
Charlotte cleaned her teary face and spoke firmly,
'I didn't care about the previous rivalry and chose Eric as my life partner. I hope that you are witnessing that I am happy with him, dad."
They stayed in the graveyard for a while and talked about her parent's unfortunate love, Eric regretted that why did he refused to come with her in the very first place.
'Because you are a dud."
Rick concluded the thought process with a single sentence. Charlotte grabbed his hand and took him to the registration office.
'My first sire is dead."
The very first thing that fascinated Eric was the effective system of citizenship, that how they kept records of every single being related to the Vampires.
'Sign these papers, Alpha."
The officer pushed a file towards Alpha Eric, Charlotte stopped him.
'We will be back after one minute."
'What?"
This question stayed in his mind, as she dragged him to the shop behind the registry.
'Do you fancy red Zircon?"
She showed a beautiful necklace to jaw dropped Eric, who was looking around frantically in a three-story necklace shop.
'This is the government approved shop for the soulmates, Alpha. The necklace bought from here can only be qualified as the traditional offering in a wedding ceremony."
The shopkeeper opened different boxes for selection, Charlotte leaned towards him.
'Sorry, you brought that gift with so much love that I couldn't bear to break your heart."
She was dreading his last out, but Eric nodded and actively participated in selection.
'It was my mistake. I should have asked you before."
The officer on the marriage counter observed them closely and gave them papers.
'What is this nonsense?"
Eric pointed out the loyalty cause in the females section.
'It's a standard procedure, Eric. That's why I am wearing white. A girl had to prove that she was a virgin before marriage."
'This is wrong."
Her one glare shushed him, they signed the official marriage certificate according to the Vampire laws.
'Now, it's time to flex it."
Charlotte clanged to his arm like a fan girl, and they went to the Starbucks.
'Iced Americano."
They sang in unison and then laughed, as their choices rarely matched with each other.
'Is there any particular reason that the female on the corner table glaring at me, like I recently committed a crime here?"
Eric texted her to ensure the privacy.
'Daisy is the famous bully of my class. Her group was sure that I will die alone."
Eric finally realized that they came here to show off their couple. Rick surged out to make an appearance.
'I am better than the pencil beside that girl."
He excused himself to attend a call and deliberately collided with that boy on the way to the counter.
'Oh, sorry. I didn't see you."
Several cracks resonated in the Hall when he hit the ground, Daisy ran towards him.
'You!"
Eric's crimson orbs shut her mouth, Daisy supported her soulmate and stormed out of the shop.
'Are you alright, Sir?"
Charlotte was expecting that the manager would ask them to get out, but his obedient tone amused her.
'It was just a small collision. I am not habitual of making a big deal out of it."
He fixed his shirt and rolled over his sleeves, inaudible gasps could be heard in that pin-drop silence.
'I think we should leave."
Charlotte buttoned his sleeves and warned him.
'I said flex our bond, not your heavenly charm. It's mine."
She wrapped her arms around him in a possessive manner, her black orbs were swimming in the pools of blood.
'Where are you taking me?"
Eric cried out at the board of 'The Lyn's cinema".
'We are going to a movie. Our favorite, sense and sensibility."
'Actually, I want to tell you something, little one."
Eric grabbed her hand and glanced at her elated face.
'I lied about this movie thing. In fact, I hate the concept of cinema. Wasting two to three hours among the strangers is not for me."
Charlotte jerked his hand and stepped away.
'Why did you lie to me?"
'Listen!"
Her high-pitch scream was exactly the same as he anticipated. Eric disregarded the customers around the building and held her closer.
'I heard you singing a song while working, I googled it, and it was from this movie. So, I used this information for a small talk.
It was so hard to get the words out of your mouth, little one. You were used to disappear magically in my appearance."
'It was not like that!"
Charlotte huffed and averted her gaze, Eric was right about her fear in the start of their relationship.
'I think we should go back, everyone must be waiting for us in the home."
'Mate said home!"
Rick's commentary lifted the corners of his lips, Eric had a relaxed smile, comfortable and content. The journey back to the home was a pleasant one, the unseen trust and harmony enveloped their existences.
Unfortunately, sad news welcomed them as soon as they entered the Pack ground.
'Ramla tried to commit suicide."
'Shoot!"
Eric raced the car directly to the hospital.
'What happened? How can she leave the room in the presence of three strong men?"
Jason bowed his head and reported.
'Ramla hardly explained to us that she wanted to enjoy the breeze. Julian made her sit beside the window, but she insisted to sit on the frame. And then…"
'Idiots!"
As Eric began to reprimand them for their stupidity, Charlotte came back to the Pack's house, where a separate class was held to educate her.
'It has been seven hours since you left, Luna. Do you have any idea that your Pack is in the middle of a crisis?
Why are you so irresponsible? Pay more attention to your work and duties."
Charlotte was listening to the lecture quite seriously when Eric interceded for her.
'It was my idea, mom. We have to get marriage certificates."
'Seven hours? The simple legal papers don't take too long."
Eric opened his mouth for arguments, but Charlotte hurriedly apologized.
'I am sorry, mom. I will be careful from now on."
'Show me the certificates."
Madam Lily took the file and allowed them to go to their room.
'What was that, Eric?"
Charlotte closed the door and faced him with a red face. Alpha glanced at her for half a day and braced himself for another round of arguments…
