A sharp gasp escaped her when her hand slipped from the ledge, she looked down and the distance from the ground made her woozy. Aurora grunted, placing her other hand on the railing and swinging with all her might.

Her feet made contact with the platform and she blew out a heavy breath. Who knew climbing down from a building would be more difficult than ballet?

She swung down the next platform and then the next one after that, all the while cursing Ryan. She didn't intend on spending the night climbing down walls like a thief. It was cold and the outfit she wore was not fit for this activity,

Her mini gown was billowing left and right, she'd only worn a thong underneath and it was a lacey material. Ryan was going to hear from her once they'd met!

Once her feet successfully touched the ground, she couldn't help but smile at her feat. She moved hastily, sneaking through the rose bushes before sneaking out of the driveway. She had never hated that her house was situated on a hill until this moment, running downwards was tricky and the night breeze was too powerful.

She clutched her purse in one hand and on the other, her heels were nestled tightly between her fingers.

"Fuck," She cursed when her toe stubbed against something hard. "Fuck, fuck, shit," She bent to massage the throbbing toe, it was tingling lightly and when she peered at the ground, she noticed that it was a small rock.

She ignored the pain, sprinting down the slope of the hill. The moment she made it to the curb of the road, she sighed in relief, running her fingers through her hair.

She didn't even want to look at the mirror right now, she was sure what she looked like.

A loud rumble jerked her upright, the bright light approaching made her frown slightly but when Ryan's motorcycle came into view, she blew out another breath,

The vehicle parked in front of her and Aurora watched as his focus fell on her. His plump lips curved upwards and he winked,

"Looking good, princess," He motioned towards the back seat, "Get in,"

She glared at him through narrowed eyes, "I'm fine, thanks for asking!" She huffed, crouching down to slip on her pumps, "I can't believe you! Do you know what I faced coming down here," She muttered under her breath before straightening,

"Well, I'm glad you made it out alive," He said nonchalantly, "Now get in before someone catches us."

She bit her tongue to stop the insults that were running through her mind right now. Deciding that he was right and that they needed to get going, she slipped into the back seat and wrapped her arms around his midsection,

"You better have something good planned," She muttered, pressing her cheek against his back and shutting her eyes.

He kicked the motorcycle to a start and it rumbled loudly, making her flinch slightly, "Trust me, I do."

The vehicle took off after that and she squeezed her hold around him, the night was just getting even more terrible.

The ride was excruciatingly long and Aurora's legs were beginning to get numb. Finally, the torture came to an end as he parked, killing the engine,

"You can get down now, princess."

For a moment, she didn't react trying to regulate her racing heart but when he lightly pinched the back of her palm, she jumped.

"What the hell?" She screeched, rubbing at the throbbing spot. Aurora looked around, frowning when she noticed they were in the middle of a dark alleyway.

She slowly climbed down from the bike, the sound of her heels echoing in the silent space, "Ryan?" She called warily, eyeing their environment cautiously,

"Where are we?"

A small squeak escaped her mouth when he linked his fingers with hers, "Come on," He tugged her gently.

They walked into a small door attached to the far end of the wall, the moment they walked in, she was submerged in complete darkness. Aurora clutched his arm, suddenly feeling very fearful.

"Ryan?"

He chuckled, tugging her arm, "Come on,"

She held onto his arm, following his lead deeper into wherever they were. As they walked farther, she could now hear the sound of cheers and loud rock music. Her brows furrowed together when he opened another door, revealing the dim room.

What in the world?

The room was larger than she'd expected and when she looked up, she was surprised that there were two or three deckings filled with people, all of them roaring at the center of the room.

Aurora noticed that the entire area was dim except from the centre where a bright spotlight shone down on. Ryan must have noticed her bemused expression because he nudged her with his arm,

"Let's go," He tapped at the man who was at the back of the crown and the burly mab twisted to face him with a snarl,

"What the fuck-" His expression morphed into one of surprise when he saw Ryan, "Holy shit! It's you!"He exclaimed, skittering to the side.

The crowd parted for him as they walked past, each of them having the same looks of amazement and wonder. She was still confused, having no idea of what was going on.

But when they arrived at the front of the crowd, her eyes meeting what was at the center. It finally dawned on her,

No way!

"You're a boxer?" She gawked at him, surprise flooding her system.

He lifted a shoulder, "What did you think I do for a living? Fuck rich princess and steal from their homes."

She glared at him and he bursted into laughter. He was terrible at making jokes and his humor was even much worse.

He took her to the side of the stage, where a mini bar was set up. It was fairly empty, only two people hung around the counter, beer bottles in hand. Ryan walked closer, slamming his fist on the counter,

"Sandy!"

A few moment later, a tall beautiful brunette came out of an enclosure that she hadn't noticed. The brunette had shoulder-length choppy brown hair and stunning silver eyes. It was when she got closer that Aurora noticed that they weren't silver but rather hazel with rings of gold and green around her pupils.

"Ryan, sweetie! Theo has been waiting for you, he's out back," Those stunning eyes fell on her and they momentarily widened, "And who's this beauty you have here?"

Aurora's cheeks flamed and she smiled shyly, tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. Sandy had a stunned look, her brows rising to her forehead,

"Ryan, when did you start hanging around the doe-eyed type?"

Ryan chuckled in turn, giving her a quick look, "It's a long story but can you keep her company? It's her first time here and she's not really used to this atmosphere."

"Oh, that's fine," Sandy winked playfully, "She is in good hands."

Ryan tipped his head at her, muttering a 'thank you' before turning to Aurora. She held a breath when he took her face in his large palms, leaning closer,

"Be a good girl, okay?"

His hot breath fanned her face, those dark eyes of his drew her in like some sort of magnet. She found it impossibly hard to look away, numbly she nodded and his plump lips curled upwards.

"Just stay here and Sandy will take care of you." He pressed his lips to hers, taking her by surprise. Before she could react, he pulled away and stalked off.

Aurora stared at him in a daze, her mouth still tingling from the kiss. She felt a tap on her shoulder and jolted from her reverie,

Sandy had a secretive glint in her eyes as she held out a cup. Aurora frowned at the amber liquid, her gaze shooting up to meet the brunette,

"I'm guessing you've never watched him fight."

She nodded and Sandy laughed, placing the filled cup in front of her,

"Take it, alcohol makes the whole experience better."

As she started at the frothy beverage, her throat scratched lightly. She had never taken alcohol before, her height was either champagne or red wine. This was new,

But the encouraging look in Sandy's eyes combined with the fact that she'd been secretly dying to have her first drink persuaded her to lift the glass from the counter and raise it to her lips. Sandy cheered loudly, hooting at her in praise.

Aurora smiled and tipped her head back, taking the first gulp.

After all, she had already broken a lot of rules tonight...what was one more?
