Professor Julius clapped twice with a satisfied nod, he returned his arm behind his back and tipped his chin forward, a normal fashion that they were used to,

"Alright, that's it for today. Don't forget to work on your foot and thigh work," Another nod was thrown in our direction before he walked out of the class.

Everyone blew out a breath, some falling to the ground with a tired huff. Natasha was one of them and she currently clutched Aurora's ankle, whining softly,

"I don't think I can take Julius' class anymore, why would he keep making us do this dance when everyone knows how difficult it is," The brunette muttered, rolling her feet in an attempt to soothe the muscles.

Mason tutted, shaking his head, "I think we should book a spa appointment, I can't feel my legs anymore," He cried out, causing a few heads to turn in their direction.

Aurora sighed, eyeing the floor with a tempting gaze. She was spent as well and her entire body begged for respite, Julius was one of the fun professor's to be around with in the institute but once he got into business, he would work your body like a horse.

And that was precisely how she felt at the moment.

"I don't kn-"

Someone cleared their throat, interrupting the rest of her speech. Eva Winners smiled brightly, flipping her curly waves behind her shoulder,

"Hey, Aurora. I wanted to talk to you."

This made Aurora frown, if Eva wanted to talk to her then it usually meant trouble and she didn't have the energy for that.

So she blew out a breath, "Are you supposed to let your hair down? I heard you'll be penalised if you do so while in class," She looked over her shoulder at Mason, "Am I wrong?"

"No one will know if you don't said a word about it," Eva hissed, prowling forward, "And I didn't come to you to discuss about the state of my hair."

Aurora's eyes flickered behind the girl, to her entourage and of course, Louisa was standing there, looking innocent and wide-eyed but she knew better. Her eyes returned to the caramel-colored girl in front of her,

She smacked her lips together, "I have no interest in what you want to say, Eva neither do I wish to speak to you. As you can see, I'm tired and engaging in a mindless conversation with you would only weaken me further."

Someone snorted behind her. She knew it was Natasha so she didn't need to look back. However, Eva had gone completely red, her nostrils flared and eyes narrowed.

Deciding to walk away before the matter would get out of hand, Aurora turned to leave but Eva grabbed her wrist.

She reacted on instinct, snatching her hand away from the other girl's hold, "What the hell do you think you're doing?"

Eva scoffed, her brown eyes burning with a foreign intensity, "Why do you always have to act like such a bitch?!"

Her voice was so loud, it quietened everyone in the classroom, the echo bouncing around the walls. Aurora stiffened considerably, her lips parting slightly.

"If someone tries to be nice to you, you shut them off or say something to insult their intelligence. Who do you think you are to act like everyone else is beneath you?!"

Mason and Natasha rose to her defence, taking tow steps forward but she raised her hand, signaling for them to stop.

Eva scoffed, throwing her a disgusted glare, "You're no better than the rest of us, Princess so stop acting like you're special."

Aurora thought of a dozen smart-assed response to give the wily girl. She knew this was just another front to make her look bad in front of the entire class, not that they'd ever seen her in a good light before.

Rather than fueling whatever Eva had planned, she simply shook her head and stalked off without sparing anyone a look.

She walked out of the class and went in search of the fire escape. She soon found the stairs that led to the rooftop and approached it without hesitation. The moment she got to the rooftop, feeling the wind against her skin was enough to calm her.

Aurora meandered towards the ledge and settled on it, peering down at the world below. She has never really noticed how large the building was until she sat there, a dark thought crept into her mind and she wondered how many seconds it would take for her body to hit the ground if she fell.

A wistful sigh escaped her lips and she tipped her head upwards, clearing the grimy imagination away from her mind. Aurora was reminded of the last time she was at a rooftop and Ryan's words to her then,

When she had said that she was tired, she didn't mean physically. Aurora was mentally and emotionally drained, she wasn't sure how long she could put up this font.

'What do you want out of life?'

Ryan had asked her this question and she hadn't been able to give him a proper answer. Back then, it felt funny but now it didn't feel so amusing anymore. What did she actually want out of life?

Her mother wanted her to dance and continue to win titles. Her father was planning on retiring and passing the company down to her. And she?

She was just supposed to go with whatever they had mapped out for her. Normally, she wouldn't have found fault in it, she would be grateful even.

However, Aurora wasn't sure that this was the life she wanted to live anymore.

"I hope you're not planning on jumping."

Her head snapped backwards, brows knitting at the intruder. Louisa smiled softly before perching on the space next to her.

"What do you want?" She gritted out, looking back at the buildings in the distance. If she listened closely, the sound of cars honking and tires speeding across the road could be heard.

Louisa stretched her hand, "To give you this."

Despite herself, she looked down. In Louisa's hold was a lucky charm bracelet, her lucky charm bracelet. It must've fallen off when she forcibly pulled her hand away from Eva's.

She picked it up from her, slinging the golden metal around her wrist and locking it in place, "Thank you."

Louisa smiled and she narrowed her eyes at her, "The view here is nice."

"Don't try to make conversation with me. You gave me the bracelet, now leave."

She heard her inhale deeply and turned to stare at her, "You know, you're wrong about me," Louisa stated softly, wringing her fingers together.

Aurora scoffed, "Hardly. You hang out with Eva and her troupe, that's enough reason for me to be right."

"And I told you, if you get to know them-"

"Then they'd fuck me over and I would regret it for the rest of my life," She bit out harshly, "I know them longer than you do, just like I know Matt."

Louisa huffed, "If this is about Matt then you're right. We were simply fooling around and I truly didn't know about the two of you, I heard rumors but he assured me that you two were just childhood friends. I ended it that day," She muttered the last part weakly causing Aurora's brows to climb high.

"Why?"

Louisa shrugged, "I had to choose between my idol and him, it was not hard to make a decision."

This caused an amused snort to leave her nose, "I'm your idol?" Aurora asked skeptically.

The way Louisa bobbed her head, with passion and laced with a bright smile almost convinced Aurora. Almost.

"I didn't ask you to do that," She said after a moment's pause, "And I shouldn't have spoken to you the way I did. If Matt chose you over me then it's not your fault."

Louisa placed her hand onto Aurora's and she bristled, the urge to smack the palm overwhelmed her but when the blonde offered her a warm smile, the instinct fizzled out.

"Matt loves you," She wanted to counter her but Louisa quickly added, "He does and I believe him, but if he doesn't see how amazing you are then it's completely his loss."

Aurora chuckled, the sound slipping out unconsciously. Louisa grinned back and turned to face the distance causing her to do the same. The setting sun had never looked so beautiful until now.

"Just for the record," She began softly.

"Yeah?"

"I still don't like you."

Louisa snorted and her lips quirked slightly. The blonde hummed, bumping her shoulder against Aurora's,

"I know."
