"Wow, so cool." An excited Isabella rushed to the window side which displayed a beautiful scene of the city ahead. "It would be nice to sit by this view, don't you think?"
Who could have ever thought such a simple thing would make him see Isabella's spark again even for a moment? Charles wondered as he watched the woman stare dreamily at the faraway lights like they were unusually beautiful stars.
"Do you stare out of this place often?" she asked the man who stood in a corner just beside a guitar like shaped artwork, his eyes watching her as she eagerly leaned further.
Closing his eyes as he finally saw it coming together, Charles let out a small sound of satisfaction. It really was coming together. Things were beginning to seem as they should have always been.
Him and his lovely woman, finally alone, away from their troubles, in his home which he found incomplete for certain reasons. A large number of reasons being Isabella and Isabella and Isabella.
She had always wanted to live in his home with him. After a single visit to the small abode which combined modernity and the Alaskan building vibe- a feature that made it stand out- she never stopped singing how lovely it would be to do simple things with him in the homey place.
After the whole leaving him at the altar drama, he refused to step into his own house. He knew it would hurt more that she was not there with him like they had both imagined. But now that she was back...
His London house felt like home again.
"Charles? I asked a question." He gave her a small smile and walked towards the large, bare space where she stood, her eyes questioning him gently. "Charles." His hands went around her and he pulled her into his chest, his heart beating the more.
Who ever knew anyone could make his heart yearn and hurt like Isabella did?
"Charles?" Her voice carried worry.
"Hmm?" He finally responded with a soft groan, his chin softly finding rest on her nice smelling hair.
"Can we just sit here and eat?"
"We can do even more." With that, his willingness to have her starve for him flew out of whatever open space was in that room. Isabella definitely caught up, so she looked up at him, her head bent into his chest.
"Really?" Charles's hand trailed from her fingers then to the length of her arm before stopping on the base of her neck, his fingers aching to touch her some more.
"We should talk first." Yes, there were still things that needed to be sorted out.
"Oh." She left his hold, he felt like he lost some kind of comfort. Facing him, she gently asked, "What is it Charles?"
"Let's sit first." After positioning themselves on the bare wooden floor and facing each other, he started, "As you know, the reason I was looking for a wife to get married to was because of my real father. Though I am glad, running into you was unexpected but it made things easier. I..." He made sure his eyes locked with hers. He needed her to know the things in his mind.
"I had finally found you and I was in a fix. Isabella, it has been easy for me to pretend all these years but you really hurt me."
Her eyes blinked with gulit. But since he didn't intend to make her feel that way, he reached out for her face and made her still maintain the eye lock, his hand caressing the side of her face, his body already shifting closer to her.
"When you finally showed up in front of me, I planned to hurt you so bad, trust me the evil in my head at that charity event scared me a bit. But then you were in a fix, you were in a situation."
"Charles..."
"Shh." He caressed her face even more. "We need to do this." Isabella reluctantly nodded. "When I learnt what was going on with you, my plans to hurt you the way you hurt me flew away and I just... I just forgot what you did and all I wanted you to be was happy and the Isabella I once knew."
Charles could see the tears which were already building. "Listen to me Isabella, I know this might sound crazy but I don't even remember you hurting me. All I remember is you bring stubborn at first but eventually letting me help you. All I remember now is the lost smile which is coming back gradually. So..." He moved even closer to her, his legs almost wrapped around her.
"Now that we are married, I want you to erase any thought that I might still hate you for hurting me. I don't. I can't. Isabella..." Charles's voice was already becoming as heavy as his heart and as he had his chin resting on her shoulder, he knew she felt the same way too. "Isabella... I love you. I have always done so. And I will continue to as long as I can."
"Charles..." The woman broke into tears and had her head buried in his chest.
"I know you have been hurt so much in the past years," he continued, his hands running through her skin in comfort the way they could. "I can't really take away the pain. But I am here to try. I am here to show you the worse days are over. I-"
Her warm lips on his shut him up and he could swear some drops threatened to fall from his eyes. Charles wouldn't have minded though. He liked being naked inside out with her.
Seconds past and their lips were still together, each giving their all to show what and how much they felt. It was a different kind of kiss all right. Charles could not argue how crazily intense it was. It made his heart explode over and over.
Was that really love?
Love, is that you? He almost asked but he was too concerned with the woman in his arms and the way she let him care for her through the simple lip lock while wiping off her tears.
Simple?
No, it immediately went from that to fiery after a minute. It was no longer love being showed, desire entered dragging extreme needs along. Soon, his broad back was against the ground and Isabella was straddling him, the kiss not breaking once.
As his hands went around her waist, he recalled something. "Hmm, wait..." She was reluctant to let go, it made him chuckle. "Bella, wait."
"What?" Her eyes were dark with want and he knew his was the same.
"We also need to talk about your company."
"Oh. About that... I haven't had an opportunity to thank you for helping me to-"
"We had a deal remember?" He cut her short, his eyes teasing her. "I just held my end of the deal."
Silently, she placed her hands on his chest and he felt so... shifted. "Charles... thank you."
"I was just making you happy. Anyway, what do you plan to do about the company? If you will be living here with me, you need to have a plan to run that place effectively."
"Ugh!" Her body grinded into his and he felt jumpy. "Charles let's talk about business later. Please..." Her eyes sexily begged. "Touch me now."
"You want that?" She nodded. "But we have to do it my way." A quick nod came from her and Charles wasted no more time. Swiftly and carefully, he held her waist and soon, she was the one on the ground. And she looked breathtaking especially with the new look she had.
As his eyes roamed her body eagerly as if trying to figure out where to start, Charles said with a slight dark tone. "Are you ready baby girl?
"For you? Yes." She smiled and he smirked.
"No. For my touch." He leaned in and sniffed her neck. She shuddered a bit and he loved that reaction. Leaning even further, the tip of his tongue appeared and he poked the same spot he just breathed on. "Bella..."
"Charles..." she moaned and she gripped his shirt hard. "Charles!" she screamed delightfully as he used his teeth to gently grind that same spot and her response made him even jumpy and he knew it was time.
For the much awaited steamy revenge.
