Kate and I were walking to class when a girl stopped Kate and told her they had to discuss something concerning a project.

"I'll see you later Lyra." She gav me a quick hug and rushed off with the other girl.

I started walking to class when I felt a presence beside me. I looked up and found Owen walking next to me. I tried to ignore him but to no avail.

"What are you doing?" I finally asked.

"Walking. If it wasn't that obvious." He answered smugly.

I sighed loudly, "I mean what are you doing walking next to me?"

"Then why didn't you just ask that in the first place? Saves us both a lot of time."

I decided to speed walk but Owen with his long legs had no trouble catching up with me.

"Why are you following me?"

"I'm going to class. We have the same class big eyes."

"What?"

"I said we have th-"

"No not that. What did you just call me?" At this I stopped walking and faced him.

"Oh big eyes? I figured calling you owl eyes wouldn't be as endearing as calling you big eyes." He shrugged. Then a smirk came across his face. "Plus. You have big sexy eyes. Unless you want me to call you sexy eyes?"

I tried my best to keep a straight face but it proved to be harder than planned so instead I just faced the floor as I walked.

The bell rang just as we walked into class and soon murmers could be heard.

I walked over to the table I usually sat when Owen sat next to me. I decided to completely ignore him through out the class. But he wasn't as much of a bother as I'd thought he would be.

I was getting some books from my locker when I felt a presence behind me. I looked behind me and unsurprisingly found Owen standing there with his hands in his pockets.

I gave him a questioning look to which he just shrugged. So instead of wasting my time staring at him I got back to my prior job.

When I closed my locker, I decided to go for my next class early if it meant getting away from Owen but he grabbed my arm. I looked back at him in question.

"What are you doing? People are staring."

He shrugged. "I don't care."

"Well I do. I have to get to class."

"Why are you acting weird?"

"I'm acting weird?"

"Yeah. Are you trying to avoid me?"

"I'm trying to get class and last time I checked, we weren't friends."

He smirked before bringing his face closer to me and whispered. "Well, the kisses we shared said otherwise."

Then he cupped my left cheek but I got back to my senses and removed his hand from my face. I walked away from him before he could do anything.

On my way, I found that Dustin was among the people staring. I stopped in my tracks when I noticed a look, the same look he had yesterday, cross his features. I tried to approach him but he walked away. I didn't let that deter me so I followed him down the hallway.

"Dustin!" I called out to him.

He stopped in his tracks but didn't bother facing me. I walked in front of him and smiled up at him.

"Hey. Are you feeling much better today?" It was a stupid question because I could tell he wasn't.

"Yeah. I'm okay." He said facing the other side.

"So a-"

"Look I've got some things to take care of so maybe I'll see you later."

I watched as he walked away from me, trying my best to process what just happened.

Classes were done for the day and I was walking out when I saw Owen approach me. Again, he wasn't making this while ignoring-Owen-for-the-whole-day any easy for me.

"What do you want?"

"Woah," he chuckled with his hands raised up in the universal declaration of surrender. "I only wanted to ask if wanted a ride home."

"What's the catch?"

"There's no catch whatsoever." He said placing his right palm over his heart.

He started walking towards his car and I found myself following him.

I fastened my seatbelt as soon as I got into the car.
