Mirela said to him as her eyes turned moist, she looked at his eyes and saw they were calm and dangerous but she wouldn't understand what's going on in his mind. She sighed and wiped her tears before walking away from him.

Soon her hand was caught by Ascian and she let out a deep sigh before looking at him,


"You're treating me better only because I'm your mate?"

Mirela smiled hearing his question, she watched his face for a while and shook her head. Can't he understand she still loves him?

"No it's because I loved you and still love you" she answered with a painful smile.


"Then why do you want to leave me?"

His question made her heart tightened, why does she want to leave him? It was because she only wanted to be with her son. She didn't want to get hurt again and again because she doesn't believe him anymore.


"I want to leave you because I have someone I love, more that I love you"

She smiled at him. Her answer was dangerously honest, she loved her son more than him and he was her life so she wants to go to him. She looked at the way his eyes changed and he looked at her with rage.

"You can't.. I will kill everyone who you love other than me" he smirked.

Mirela looked down at him and clutched her dress tightly. She doesn't know how to explain to him and how he would react if he found out that he has a little two and half year old son. But she doesn't want to let him find out about his son.

'You're going to kill your own flesh and blood' her mind screamed but her mouth didn't let out one word.

"Why are you still selfish for my love?" she asked.

She wanted an answer but he didn't utter a word, his eyes were staring into her and that's all he did. She knew he was helpless without an answer and she didn't want to see him like that so she just looked away from him and pulled her hand from his grip.

"Alpha… we got a problem"

Mirela looked at Ascian's beta who just came with a terrified look. Then he looked at her and lowered his head immediately.

"What? Speak"

He said without moving his eyes from her. Then she sighed and started to finish washing dishes. She didn't know what was wrong but she was furious because of the look his beta had on his mind.

Suddenly, the sound of a loud thunder came, then a heavy rain started to fall down. Her heart tightened remembering Ahren, when it rains he always wanted to cuddle against her body, he just wanted to stay closer to her until the rain was over.

"A rogue attack.. To the school"

A shudder went through her body hearing that, she stopped what she was doing and looked at his beta.

"Is anyone injured?" she asked, her voice was trembling.

"Yes, three children are dead"

As soon as he said that Mirela heard Ascian's furious growl. She looked at him and saw the dangerous aura he had. He was furious after hearing that. He looked at her and turned to leave, then he stopped and looked at her again.

"Don't step out of this house, it's raining heavily. I will come soon"

He said before walking out of the house. She followed him and saw him walking towards his jeep ignoring raindrops. Then he left.

She looked up at the sky, it was dark and the brightness which was there in the morning had completely disappeared and replaced it with darkness. The weather was making her numb with the thoughts of Ahren.

She was scared and she doesn't know whether her little boy is crying or not. She doesn't know how he is without her. She wanted to go to him, now Ascian was not at home and she could simply run away, most importantly it's raining and he won't be able to follow her scent.

She waited for a while and took a deep breath before closing the door behind her and walking out of the house, her body shivered with the feeling of rain drops on her skin. She didn't care because all her mind was filled with her little adorable son.

So she ran as fast as she could, ignoring everything, so she ran into the forest. There was no protection for her smooth feet and they were already hurting her as she ran. She was already soaked, wiping the water drops on her face. She ran into the forest wanting to escape from him and go to her son.

When she gets there, she will immediately take her with him somewhere far away and no one will know about their existence. She knew she was unfair to her son because he has Lucas blood in him and he's the son of Ascian Lucas but she didn't want him to get hurt by his father.

Mirela finally stopped at the river, she's going to escape and a small smile appeared on her face as she looked at the other side of the river. She knew how to go through the river because Ascian had shown her a secret path.

Walking towards the path, she took a deep breath but before she could do anything her hand was ruthlessly grabbed by someone and a loud and angry growl pierced her ears. Her body began to tremble looking at Ascian, who was looking at her as if he wanted to kill her.

He was soaked, his eyes were already dark and filled with rage. She looked at him and she couldn't stop the fear. She was asked to stay at home but she just ran out without caring about anything. Her heart again tightened with the thought of not getting a chance to go to her son again.

"Ascian… let me go"

She said her voice was trembling and her eyes were letting down tears, but because of the rain no one could see them but her eyes were slightly red.

"Fuck… you fucking dumb woman.." He roared.

He was angry and she was scared. He grabbed her chin with his large hand and tightened the grip wanting to hurt her.

"MIRELA… didn't I fucking ask you to stay at home?"

Hearing his angry voice her heart pounded against her chest with fear and she slowly raised her trembling hands and clutched his shirt tightly. She was scared and at the same time she was hurt because she failed to go to her son.

"I.. Ascian.. Please.."

Words didn't come out of her willingly, she had to force them but yet she couldn't talk properly.

"Fucking stubborn woman.. You'll be the fucking death of me one day. I fucking know it"

He shouted at her and dragged her out of the forest as if she was something with no strength to walk. She sobbed, not knowing what to do. She knew she did something wrong that angered him so much.

And now she was scared without knowing what he would do to her when they got home. He will definitely punish her and won't let her even walk out of the room.

"Ascian.. Stop.. please don't"

She cried because she was just and her feet were already bleeding.

"SHUT YOUR FUCKING MOUTH.. Mirela.. You're the only one… only fucking one"

He said while dragging her out of the forest. Her efforts were all gone and now she was again both helpless and hopeless. Ahren's face was filled in her mind, she didn't know.. She shook her head and sobbed without stopping.
