Mirela's mind was a mess, Ahren walked upstairs a long time ago and still didn't come down. She didn't believe Ascian even a bit so she was both scared and upset that he would hurt Ahren. She knew that Ascian had killed people before coming into the house again, and he also knew that she understood what he was doing.

Mirela tried to get up from the sofa but she couldn't. She clenched her fists with anger, she had to become like this because of him. Then she waited for a while and saw Ascian's beta coming into the house.


"Hey, help me to get up"

She looked at him and uttered. Then he watched her with a shocked face and shook his head immediately making her feel bad. She looked at him but he just lowered his head without looking straight into her eyes.

She didn't understand why he just acted like that and then he suddenly looked at the staircase and glup with fear or something similar to that. Then following his gaze, she looked in the direction and saw Ascian was coming and his eyes were staring at his own beta as if he wanted to murder him.


She sighed and looked at Ahren who was hugging Ascian's neck with his little arms. He had changed into a new set of clothes. She moved her eyes to Ascian and watched him for a while, his hair was somewhat wet and his black shirt was unbuttoned and slightly hanging through his shoulders exposing his upper body perfectly.

Her eyes fell on his body and she bit her lower lip before looking away from his body. She remembered the first time they had sex. She remembers that she touched all over his upper body and she smiled at him telling that he had a really nice body. They were happy that night but everything changed at dawn.


She forced herself to throw those thoughts away from her head. She looked at Ascian and saw he was looking at her. His emerald eyes were intimidating and he watched her as if he was going to eat her. Her heartbeat increased looking at his eyes and memories surged into her mind with great pain.

She remembered the first time they looked at each other, he was just at the entrance of the ballroom while she was already in. as their eyes met each other and their wolves howled from happiness, he took a few steps ahead and stopped as he looked into her eyes.

She was nervous while her wolf started to force her to go to him, but she didn't move. She watched him as he strode towards her and placed his hand on the back of her neck before crashing his lips on hers.

Mirela's eyes filled with tears and she looked away from Ascian's eyes. The past was still killing her and she had no idea how to move on from the past. Even if she was with him in the same house, she can't forget it because she loved it so much.

Wiping her tears she looked at Ascian and spread her arms asking him to give Ahren to her. Then he gently placed Ahren on her lap and caressed his hair. Suddenly, she felt the same smell as Ascian from Ahren. She looked at Ahren's face and sighed.

"You can't put your body gel on him, he's a child and his skin is too smooth."

She looked at Ascian and said emotionlessly. Hen watched his face, his eyes softened and he nodded at her with a smile. Then he looked at his beta and his eyes turned cold.

"Why are you here?" he asked.

His beta waited for a while and looked at him. Then took a few steps closer to him and said something without letting Mirela hear it. Suddenly, her heart covered something strange, looking at how his facial expression changed her heart covered with fear.

Soon after the beta left, Then Ascian waited for a while and then looked at Ahren as his eyes moved towards her.

"Ascian?"

She spoke in a low voice. She wanted to know what was going on in his mind. He watched her face for a while and took a deep breath. Then walked towards her and sat next to her. He raised his arm and caressed her face and looked at her lips.

"I have to go somewhere for a month, Mirela."

He whispered looking at her face, Mirela clutched her dress tightly and shook her head. She didn't know where he was going and why, but she just didn't feel it right. She just didn't want him to leave with the dream she saw earlier.

"Don't go… is it urgent?"

She asked him to place her hand on his and intertwined her fingers with him. Even if he hurt her, she didn't want anything to happen to him and she was scared. Especially she didn't want to bear another pain.

"Yes, I will be back in a month and don't go anywhere Mirela. Just stay in this house. You have everything you want here and he's also with you now so don't leave here. You can just go and walk around everywhere in the city and take him to parks"

"But I want to see you and my son when I come back from there okay?"

She nodded at him hearing that, lowering her eyes she looked at their hands which were intertwined just like it was three years ago. Biting her lower lip she again looked into his eyes and forcefully smiled.

"Then who's going to wash me for a month?"

She wanted to stop him from leaving, so she used the one and only reason she had to stop him from leaving. Ascian chuckled and looked into her eyes.

"A female warrior will be here for your everything okay?"

Her heart was covered with disappointment and she just nodded her head and looked away from him. As always, she cannot stop him from the things he's going to do. Ascian caressed her face and kissed her forehead as he got up from the sofa.

"Ahren, daddy has to go somewhere and won't be here for a month. So will you be a good boy and wait for daddy?"

He asked as he picked Ahren up, she looked at them clutching her dress tightly. Her mind was a mess and she didn't know why she's feeling like this so suddenly but to be honest she didn't want him to leave.

"Then daddy, will you buy that car for me?"

Ascian laughed and nodded at Ahren as he kissed his little forehead too. Then he placed him again on her lap and looked at them with a small smile on his lips. Her heart clenched seeing him like that.

"Ascian please be careful with whatever you're going to do"
