Days passed slowly and it was already a month and Ascian wasn't home yet. Mirela's heart was beating with horror, she didn't know how to react, the more days passed the more she became nervous and restless.

"Momma, why is daddy not here yet?"


Her heart tightened hearing Ahren's voice. He was waiting for Ascian ever since he left. She forcefully smiled and looked at Ahren. Then she picked him up and slowly walked towards the huge glass window in the room.

She watched outside, she cannot stand properly because her legs haven't healed yet. She could walk but can't walk like before.

"Daddy will come soon"


She smiled and kissed his forehead, her heart was a mess. She doesn't know about anything and she doesn't know how's him. She cannot even feel him because her wolf wasn't there with her. Ahren wrapped his little arms around her neck and buried his face against her neck.

She knew he missed his daddy, but she didn't know how to comfort him. Taking a deep breath, she walked out of the room. Taking him to the kitchen slowly, she placed him on the kitchen countertop.


Mirela grabbed a chair and sat, she rested for a while and again stood up from it as she walked towards the refrigerator. Opening the door, she took out an apple and washed it. After cutting into small slides, she gave it to Ahren.

"Ahren… you should eat this.. Don't make momma angry, '' she frowned at him.

He was so similar to Ascian because he didn't like eating fruits. Then he pouted at her and started to eat it. Then suddenly, she heard a sound. She picked Ahren up again and walked out of the kitchen while he was eating.

As she walked out of the kitchen and entered the living room, she saw it was a mess. Her heart tightened and she hugged Ahren tightly. She looked upstairs and she heard a sound there, without going to see what was going on she slowly walked towards the door wanting to get out of the house because if there was a danger inside of the house she could just escape.

Her legs were hurting and she couldn't even walk properly. But as she tried to go out of the house. She heard a chuckle, she looked back and her heart froze seeing a familiar man. She looked at him and took a few steps back but she was bumped into someone and at the same time she heard a growl.

Her eyes turned red seeing two men who were blocking the door without letting her go out. Taking a deep breath, she looked at the man who was looking at her full of hatred.

"So this is the reason? Heh? This is why Alpha Ascian killed my son?"

His voice was cold and dangerous, she looked into her old pack's alpha and looked away. She hated him, his son killed her brother and she was glad if Ascian had killed his son. Mirela hugged Ahren against her body tightly and looked at him.

"Mirela, is this his son?" he asked.

Her heart shook violently and she shook her head immediately. If Ascian had killed his son, he's here to do something for revenge. She parted her lips to speak.

"No, this is his beta's son. I just took care of him for a while"

She said without letting him feel anything suspicious. Then he chuckled and walked towards Mirela and stopped in front of her. She was scared, her heart was crying. Ascian was not at home or anywhere closer.

She was also weak and she didn't have any strength in her body. She took a deep breath and calmed herself. Nothing will happen, she thought and looked into his eyes.

"Take the boy from her"

He said, making her heart go numb, she shook her head and hugged him tightly. She's not letting anyone hurt her son, but she was helpless. She has no idea why she's so unlucky to face these kinds of hurtful things.

"Momma.."

Ahren whimpered as the muscular man grabbed him from Mirela's arms. She looked at him and saw his eyes were filled with tears. Her body trembled and she looked at the man and saw he was clenching his jaws while looking at Ahren.

"Fucking bitch, not his son?"

He slapped across her face making her lip bled, tears were filled in her eyes and she looked at Ahren's who was looking at her lip with wipe eyes. His eyes were filled with tears and his eyes slowly moved towards the man who slapped her.

Her heart tightened seeing Ahren's big eyes turning sharp and cold, they turned small like Ascian and they held fury. She was scared of seeing his reaction, he was small but if he acted like this… he would be like Ascian in the future.

"Ahren…"

She called his name, he looked at her and his eyes immediately changed to his innocent and childish eyes. She sighed in relief and smiled at him.

"You fucking gave birth to a son for the man who killed your alpha's son? Ha"

He shouted with fury as he grabbed her from her hair and threw her against the wall. Mirela's back of head hit against the wall with a lot of force and she hissed from pain. Her eyebrows twitched from pain and she forcefully opened her eyes and looked at Ahren.

His eyes were filled with tears and he was just shocked, he had never experienced this kind of situation.

"Don't.. Momma"

His small lips parted and he finally spoke, hearing him, tears rolled down from her eyes.

"Kill her.. And leave her body here to see him when he came back" he smirked.

Then grabbed Ahren from his little arm and dragged him out of the house heartlessly. She immediately dragged herself towards the door wanting to see him, her body was already numb. She saw Ahren looking back as that bastard was dragging him.

"Don't.. Please…"

She said looking at him but soon she was grabbed into the house by the man who was with her alpha and he placed a dagger against her neck. She was helpless and weak. She felt angry at herself because she wasn't strong enough to protect her own son.

"Ascian…"

She muttered his name wanting to see him as soon as possible, she didn't know why he's late. She was scared and didn't want to let her son suffer. Then soon she felt pain against her neck and she closed her eyes as darkness hovered her.
