A month passed, Mirela's mind was not at ease. She was counting days until it reached a month but they were still not at home. She was both scared and upset. She knew that Ascian would not let anything happen to Ahren but she didn't know how to ease her mind and stay and wait until they returned.

"Luna, please have your breakfast" hearing the voice, she looked at the woman who was standing at the door. Mirela smiled at her and nodded as she walked away, she didn't even feel like eating, she just wanted nothing but to see them as soon as possible.


She slowly got up from the bed and walked out of the room. Then she entered the dining room and pulled a chair as she sat on it. Looking at the dish, she remembered Ahren. He liked eating that. For some unknown reason, she felt something was wrong. Even if she couldn't feel Ascian and his wolf, there was some strange thing inside of her which made her mind ease telling that he was okay but now she felt fear.

Getting up from the chair without even eating, she walked out of the house. As soon as she stepped out of the house a female warrior came and stopped her with a warm smile on her face. Mirela couldn't help but sigh because Ascian had clearly warned them not to let her go out.

"Why is Ascian not here yet, it's been a month" she said helplessly. She knew that the woman in front of her didn't even know an answer for her question but she wanted to ask and know just to relax her mind. She wanted to throw the bad feeling away in her heart.


"I really don't know about Luna. Alpha didn't mention anything about it" With a forceful smile, she nodded at the warrior and sighed before walking into the house again. She didn't have the appetite to eat because she felt she was already going insane without seeing them.

Walking back into the room, she grabbed a book and sat on the floor as she started to read it. Her mind was in a mess and she felt everything was going wrong but she wanted to relax her mind. She forced herself to calm her mind and thoughts as she focused on the book she was reading.

Two more days passed but they were still not at home, and she was insane already. She couldn't wait anymore, she just wanted to go there and look for them but she couldn't even step out of the house because of Ascian's strict rules and commands for her and his warriors.

Suddenly, she heard the sound of a vehicle. Her heart filled with happiness and relief as she ran downstairs and out of the house. Then her lips curled upwards seeing it was Ascian's jeep. She was happy beyond imagination. She immediately ran towards the jeep as Ahren got down from it and looked at her with a small smile on his face.

"How are you my little prince?" She hugged him so tightly and picked him up as she asked. Her eyes filled with tears seeing him, it's been a month without him, she really missed her little son and now finally she has him in her arms.

Placing him on the ground again, she looked at him. As she looked at him, she could clearly see the improved muscles on his body. She smiled seeing him, one month had passed and looked at her son now. Ascian had really done something to him. With that thought, she looked at the jeep again wanting to see him, but he was nowhere to be found.

Her heart beat increased unknowingly and she felt a sudden fear because she didn't see him. Then she looked at Ascian's beta who just got down from the jeep. Mirela's heart shook violently, she lowered her head and looked at Ahren's face. There was no smile on his face and his eyes were sharp and red, so similar to Ascian.

"Where? Where is he?"

"Where's daddy?" her voice was trembling as she spoke. She looked at both Ascian's beta and Ahren but none of them replied. They just lowered their heads without uttering a word. She clutched her dress tightly and took a deep breath wanting to calm herself down.

"What happened? Just tell me. Where is he?" she walked towards the beta and asked. But he didn't reply to her and that made Mirela's heart fill with anger. She grabbed him from his collar and looked into his face with a questioning gaze.

"Aren't you gonna answer your Luna's question?" she asked him and shook him away. She was both angry and scared. She wanted to know where he was but they were not telling her. She had the right to know about him and what happened.

"Ahren?" she questioned walking towards him.

"Daddy asked me to leave. He forced me to leave him there" her heart shattered into pieces hearing Ahren's broken voice. His eyes filled with tears as he spoke. Mirela forcefully smiled with disbelief then she shook her head and looked at the beta.

"How come? No, I'm going. Take care of Ahren" she said as she looked at the beta. She didn't believe anything, she wanted to go to him and find him. As she turned to leave, her hand was grabbed by Ahren.

Mirela looked at him and her heart clenched. She didn't know how to react or what to say to him. She forcefully smiled at him and patted his head as she moved closer to him and hugged him again.

"You can't go there momma, you shouldn't go there" hearing the tone Ahren spoke, Mirela was stunned. He was talking as if he knew everything about the blood forest. He looked so serious and matured. He just simply looked like Ascian.

She didn't know what had happened to them and why Ahren was this serious, what did he see inside of the forest and what did he face? She asked herself but she didn't have an answer. She had never been there and she doesn't know what kind of things inside of that forest. She only knew what people talked about the blood forest. If someone wanted to die, he should go to the blood forest. That's what she heard and believed.

"What happened to daddy? Tell me" she asked Ahren, then he lowered his head and took off the t-shirt he was wearing, Mirela's whole body went numb seeing the scar on his chest. Tears rolled down from her eyes and she looked at her little son's body.

She never expected something like this and she never wanted her son to have a deadly scar at this young age. He was just so small, but he was not weak anymore. After meeting Ascian, Mirela knew that Ahren had become strong like his daddy but she didn't want to believe because he was still the little baby of hers.

"How? Baby does it hurt?" she helplessly picked him up and asked. Then Ahren shook his head with a smile on his face.

"Daddy saved me!" he muttered and buried his face against Mirela's neck. Soon she felt his hot tears against her neck and her eyes were also suppressed by tears. Does it mean she's not going to see him again? How come?

She hasn't even forgiven him completely. How can something like this happen? Mirela helplessly shook her head and walked towards the house. She went to her room and placed Ahren on the bed as she sat beside him and and caressed his head.

"Tell momma what exactly happened." she said. Then Ahren looked at her with wide eyes. Then he bit his little lips and placed his little head on her lap.

"Daddy called it a demon soul. He said it had been following us ever since we went there. And we tried to hunt it momma. But we couldn't because daddy got injured." he spoke slowly and looked up at Mirela's face.

Her heart tightened as he spoke, Ascian got injured? She couldn't believe it and she was just both hurt and shocked.
