VANESSA'S. P.O.V

I stared at my room's balcony, bored to death. I don't know what to do to pass my time. I thought of Emily. I hadn't seen her since the incident between us in the room. I decided to go see her.

I knocked at the door of her room twice before she opened the door, and she smiled nervously and opened the door wider for me to go in.


'Hi Emily," I greeted her.

"Vanessa, how are you doing?"


I sat down on the sofa in her room, looking at her, she was nervous and wringing her hands.

I knew she thought I was still annoyed about what happened between us in my room.

'I'm not annoyed with what happened the last time we met, Emily, feel free with me," I said softly.

'Are you sure?" she asked, excited.

'Yes," I replied, smiling at her. She hugged me tightly but happily.

'Emily, you are choking me," I said when I couldn't breathe anymore.

'I'm sorry, I was relieved finally. I thought you had hated me since you haven't spoken to me since then," she said.

'I was busy, that was why."

After sitting for some time, she opened her closet and frowned.

'What happened?" I asked worriedly.

'Oh it's just that I was supposed to go shopping today before you came."

'Oh, you should have told me, I will leave you so you can do your shopping."

'No, no, you know what, let's go together," she suggested, looking at me expectantly.

'Umm," her smile dropped at that.

'Okay fine,"

'But how do we pay for the clothes?" I asked because I only had a little money and I didn't want to use it.

'Didn't the Alpha give you your own black card?" she asked, surprised.

'There's a black card?" I raised a brow.

'Yes, all the concubines have one. Maybe he forgot to give you one, but that's not a problem you can use from me, and don't say no, Vanessa," she said, frowning.

'Fine, let's go, I will have to change into something light," I said, and she giggled.

"I will call you from your room."

I rushed to my room and wore a fitted long white gown with peacock feathers at the wrist and my ankle. I applied my mascara and lip gloss to my lips.

'I'm coming," I yelled when Emily knocked at my door.

'Ready," I said, as I came out of my room smiling.

'You look beautiful, Vanessa, even with such a simple dress, I wish I had half of your beauty. I would have been the most beautiful woman in the world."

"Stop flattering me please, you look wonderful yourself," I said, and she laughed.

We went to the mall.

Emily was a slow picker, and we walked round the whole clothes section, and she only picked 30 clothes, after moving round the whole building.

'Come, I want us to go somewhere," she said, dragging me to another section of the mall.

It was a lingerie store.

My cheeks turn red at the sight of so many seductive lingeries. I can't even look at them properly not to talk about wearing them.

'I will wait for you here," I said to her.

'No, you will follow me inside," she insisted. I grumbled all to Emily's deaf ears.

She picked lots of sexy ones.

She's picking them to seduce Axel, I thought, and I quickly rebuffed the thought because we are the same thing, Concubines.

'Vanessa, try this one please," she said, handing me a transparent spicy red lingerie.

'No, I can't wear that," I refused.

"Please, for my sake, try it on," she pleaded.

"I will try it on, but I won't take it," I said, collecting it from her and I walked to the changing room.

When I came out, Emily gasped.

'Your curves look so sexy and your body edible. If I was the Alpha, I woud eat you immediately I saw you in this," she complimented.

'Thank you," I said, and I went back to remove it.

We paid for the other clothing except the red lingerie because I refused to take it.

When we got to the palace, we collected our shopping bags from the maids and I said goodbye.

I decided to go through them in Axel's room since it was more spacious and comfortable.

I began trying the whole thing out when a little bag fell from the midst of the closet. I picked it up and opened it. It was the red lingerie with a note.

'Please Vanessa, please, please wear them for me tonight." I scowled.

"I'm sorry, Emily, but I can't wear something like that. Axel would think I'm trying to seduce him, and I don't want that," I said, determined not to fall for her whines.I would never wear such.

'What's that !" Axel asked suddenly and he was smirking at me. I was shocked.

'How did you get in here? I locked the door" I asked, looking at the door and back at him.

'Topic for another day, now back to what I asked. What's behind you?" I had hidden it behind me so he wouldn't think I bought it on purpose to seduce him.

'Nothing," I replied. He got closer to me. I bent and held this arms. He chuckled.

'Now my curiosity has gotten heightened," he said, and before I could say "jack" he was already in my front and he pulled the lingerie from my hand.

" No no" I cried.

His face went from amusement to surprise and back to amusement.

"You bought this to wear for me?" He asked looking at me.

"No, Emily asked me to buy and I refused but I didn't know she bought and I just saw it now," I said embarrassed.

"Oh really?"

"Axel I'm not lying.

'Emily has done something very useful today," he said smiling.

"I'm serious, you can ask her yourself, give it back to me, I want to return it to her, I pleaded.

'Why?" He asked frowning.

"So that I can return it," I repeated annoyed.

" No!"

"I want to see it on you."
