I lay on the bed waiting for Axel to come back from his office as I didn't want to go and disturb him.

He came back by 6 pm, I turned and stood up.

'Welcome back."


'Thank you pumpkin," he said, smiling.

"How was your day?" I asked.


"Stressful, and fine now because I'm seeing your beautiful face."

"Stop being cheesy" I said laughing, hitting his arms lightly.

"I'm serious though especially when you smile, I would be right back I need to freshen up," he said and I nodded.

When he came out of the bathroom, I started looking at him.

"Okay what is it?" He asked, feeling uncomfortable.


'You promised to show me something and you haven't, why?" I said, smiling mischievously.

'It escaped my mind, I'm very sorry pumpkin,I will dress up and we go there, it's in the palace though and you have to promise you wouldn't tell anyone about what you will see," he said

'Yes I promise," I said and a knock interrupted.

He opened the door and the guard told him that his uncle was downstairs waiting for him. Axel slammed the door at the poor guard's face.

I opened the door and the guard had already left.

'Axel??" I called. He didn't reply. I walked to him and touched his arms, raising his stooped head.

"Axel, you're the Alpha, not him, not anyone else, it's yours, I don't care if you were a concubine's child and that's not a criteria for you to always feel left out. Go there and be his Alpha that you are," I said encouraging him. He looked with his eyes filled with admiration and he pulled me in a gentle hug.


"Thank you so much, nobody has ever told me that in my entire life." The almighty Axel opened up, earning a grin from me.


'Now go outside there and make me proud," I said, and he stood up flexing his muscles. I laughed. I stayed for some time allowing him to get to the throne room before I stood up and went there.

'Axel, you kept me waiting," his uncle said fuming.

'I would answer you whenever I want to, it's a privilege to see the Alpha's face," he said trying to piss his uncle off.

"As your Alpha, you should greet when I come, and stand whenever you see me."


"You are not fit for that throne, and what insolence!" His uncle said loudly.


"Don't you dare fucking shout in my presence." Axel growled at him loudly. I peeped in and his uncle looked at him with shock written all over his face.


'Axel how dare you?" He asked after regaining himself.

"You asked to see me, isn't there something important you want to say?" Axel asked bored.

His uncle scowled. 'The elders have decided that if you can't find your mate, the title of the Alpha will have to go to me since I'm man enough to find mine, so why don't you step down now you still have a reputation.

'Oh, is that so?" Axel asked and he smirked..

"Yes and be ready to go down," he said feeling high of himself.

'Okay," Axel said and stood up from the throne making for the door.

'And is it true you are dating a concubine of yours?" his uncle asked out of nowhere.

Axel stopped, 'And how's that any of you and the elders' business?" he asked.

"That's more reason why you can't be the Alpha, if in this pack, you don't respect even the little rules guiding the pack, well I don't blame you, what more can we expect from an offspring of a mere concubine," he said trying to trigger Axel's anger and I prayed to the Moon Goddess to help him calm his anger.

Axel scoffed and continued walking again.I thanked the Moon Goddess before I could straighten up myself to leave. Axel was already turning the door knob.

I quickly hid behind a column, closing my eyes.


'Ahh I screamed, opening my eyes when I felt something on my thighs. I looked down to see Axel stooped touching my thighs.

'Stop, we are in a public place," I said moving away from him looking around if anyone saw that.

'Public place? And you were eavesdropping on someone else's conversation?"


'Well, I got curious," I said, smiling to distract him.

"Oh really, I also got curious about your thighs," he said laughing.

'I promised I would take you to see something right, good thing I saw you here, let's go." He held out his hand and I took it and pulled him back.

'I'm sorry about what your Uncle said to you, and I'm proud that you didn't lose your cool," I said to him

"It's fine, and nothing. You know why? Because of what you said before I left the room."


'Come, let's go to your room you need to rest and relieve the tension your body is holding up," I said

pulling him to his room.


When we entered the room and went to the balcony, he was looking into thin air.


'What are you thinking of?" I asked him worriedly.



'Wait, I will go and get a snack for us."

'Don't bother, I would tell Irene to bring it."

'I remembered I forgot my phone in my office, he said, leaving.

I sat down looking at myself in my dressing mirror , I looked at my hair and it was a little disorganized. So I took my brush and started brushing my hair to while away time.

I wonder how Emily is faring, I should really go and see her once I'm free.

Remembering Allison's execution, I shivered, why was she apologizing to me, I thought she would hate me after everything.

When I waited for him more than twenty minutes and he wasn't forthcoming, I decided to look for him. I went to his office and started hearing moans from his office.

Opening the door, I saw Axel kissing a blonde lady like his life depends on it.
