Feeling bored as hell, I decided to go to the palace library to keep myself occupied. Why didn't I think of that. I brushed my hair and left for the library.

The guards opened the door for me and I went, walking through the shelves surrounded by millions of books, I was confused on which book to pick.

‘Paths to becoming a strong willed alpha' ‘Alpha's dos and don'ts,' were the only titles I was seeing and they looked too boring to read.


Walking from shelves to shelves, I was confused on which book to pick.

Then, I saw an old red book that caught my attention on the lower shelf, and I stooped to take it.


'Don't touch it if you aren't ready for the outcome." I got scared and turned looking for the source of the voice.

'Who's there?" I asked looking around to find the source of the voice.

"Stop looking for me love, I'm in your head for now, you will be utterly terrified even if you do, so let's stick with you hearing only my voice," it said.


Hearing that my fear intensified and I freaked out and ran to the door, trying to open but the door wasn't bulging…

'What did you do to the door? Please stop, I don't want to die," I said tears streamed down my cheeks.

"Love, running away from here doesn't mean I don't know your room," it said.

"What are you and what do you want with me?" I snorted.

"Even snorting looks good on you, but in a more serious note love, stop trying to run away, I hold the answer you will need."


'I don't have any questions to ask and I don't need your answers. And stop calling me your love I'm not," I said.

"Yes, you are "

'I am not" I growled angrily.

'You are, stop denying it love, if you don't want to talk to me, take the book you were about opening and go through it, it would explain more about who I am,' it replied.

"And what if you kill me? How can I trust you?" I said frightened.

'I won't love, at least not yet," it said chuckling.

I turned and walked back to the book, stooping, I picked up the book.

I breathed in and out to calm my frightened limbs, I couldn't help but feel I'm doing something very wrong.

'Take the book and read it at your private time, don't let Axel see it," it warned. I hid the book beneath my dress.


'Until next time love," it said chuckling to my annoyance.


I pulled at the door and it gave way easily, I ran out immediately before it gets locked again.

Getting to my room. I brought the book out and left it on my dressing table.

Damm what it said about not showing the book to Axel, my instincts was telling me to tell him as I felt I was doing something very wrong.

By evening Axel wasn't coming and I started getting worried as he had never stayed this long.

I stood and went to his office, the guards at his door blocked me from entering.

'Sorry, lady Vanessa, but the Alpha has strictly warned that no one should be allowed into his office, I'm sorry. "


"Why?"

"We don't ask, it's the Alpha"s orders."

I was sure then that something was wrong, I turned as if I was leaving , when they began talking to themselves distractedly.

I rushed into his office and I saw a big black wolf with a patch of white bear in his eye.

'We are sorry your Highness, she was already in before we could stop her."

The wolf growled and they left.

I knew it was Axel, I have never seen him in his wolf form but I could feel him.

'I'm sorry for barging, I was just worried that you weren't back, so I decided to come and check on you," I explained.


The wolf rushed to me, getting scared I raised my hands over my face.


'I'm sorry, you don't need to get annoyed, I would just leave," I said turning to leave when I felt a paw drawing my dress back.

I turned and stepped back when I saw him very close to me. Even his wolf was taller than me. He retreated back sadly thinking I was scared of him.


'No, I'm not scared, it's just didn't expect to find you that close to me," I said.

'Can you understand me? If you can nod," I added. His wolf nodded.

"Wow, you can. Good, you must be Lucian," I blushed, remembering the night between us. It wagged his tail happily.

'Can I touch you?" I asked for his permission and it crouch in a sitting position bending his head

I ran my hand into his head and it purred..

'You like that right, you are a good boy" I said playing with his furs.

"You're a very handsome wolf though," I complimented and it purred happily.

I sat down on the floor with him and he laid his head on my thighs, it was heavy but I could managed it.

After few minutes, he slept off and I smiled happily and rested my head on him, falling into a deep comfortable sleep.

Turning to get more comfortable on the bed. Wait, bed? I opened my eyes and tried to stand up, but I was held back by his arms.

'Don't worry, we are in my room, I carried you back because I didn't have the heart to wake you up," he said.

'I want to show something to you," I said remembering the book.

"No, leave it for tomorrow, for now go back to sleep or I would put you back to sleep," he said

I closed my eyes immediately and he chuckled.

'Don't show it to him," the voice warned again.

I got scared and held Axel tightly.

"Missing me that much?" He said with his eyes still closed.
